Manchester is a fantastic student city, with plenty to offer for everyone. The nightlife is very good and Liverpool is only a short train journey away. The city offers a range of places to eat, drink and shop.

Manchester is buzzing with a vibrant atmosphere and a diverse amount of people. You can truly never get bored in this city with the vast amount of restaurants and shops and kooky little market places. The integration of the trams running through the city centre adds to its overall authenticity. You will never find a still moment with musicians and singers performing every few feet away from each other.

It's an amazing city. Although where I live could do with a better facility: No cleaners, broken washers, that staff should be more responsive to. Although Manchester is a very welcoming and warmfull city. Good night life and good for shopping.

Amazing city with amazing people! Always something to do, whether it be going out to eat or wanting a proper night out. The music scene is very upcoming and would recommend going to Matt and Phed’s in the Nothern Quarter!!!!

Manchester is awsome, I live right in city centre and everything I want is 5 minutes away. Grassy parks to indoor sky diving, Manchester has it!

I love the art culture of Manchester, cheap and cheerful places like "The font" which is completely student friendly with the low prices and a great variety of drinks to choose from

Manchester has everything you could possibly imagine. Amazing nights out, friendly people, a huge array of restaurants and more. There is something to fit anyone's taste throughout the city. The closer to the centre, the more expensive places get, but there are some incredible student places dotted around if you know about them.

I'm a Manchester Met student, and I have to say I really love the city of Manchester. Although I live a little bit outside of the centre, in Fallowfield, transport is really good and cheap for getting in and out of town. Nowhere else compares to Manchester in terms of nights out. Some of the best gigs I've ever been to have been in Antwerp Mansion. Food is pretty reasonably priced in the city too, and Lidl is in an ideal location for picking up cheap grub!

For me the most important part of the studying life is the accommodation and its location. The environment in the place where you are living is essential to enjoy the university life.

The University of Manchester campus location is great if you are at the main campus. If not, you are at the Piccadilly Sackville Street campus, this is where I was based. Both have positives and negatives but Sackville Street was close to Manchester Market Street and the Arndale Centre (5 minutes walk!) and next to Piccadilly station so great for that. The main campus is great for being close to most student houses and the atmosphere is great because it is he real "student hub"

Gret location! Near to the city and it is very convenient with the frequent buses along Oxford Road. The student life here is great as there are variety of food sold at a reasonable price.

Couldn’t reccommend Manchester enough, it really does have it all. Night life is great with so many different variations of music from indie to standard clubbing to the joys that have been antwerp and hidden. Transport is fast and accessible and the city is thriving with great bars, restaurants and shops. Glad to call Manchester my second home.

Manchester is the place to go if you're looking for that uni/social experience. Cheap drinks, full of character and plenty of gigs. Not to mention our local Parklife festival. There's something for everyone guaranteed.

The MMU is in Manchester City centre making it easily accessible via car and buses but if you want to want or bike there it's no problem at all, it approximately takes 5/10 in the bus to get to Piccadilly station and when you are there you find many shops and fast food stores, many night clubs are also present making it great for nights out and there's literally an infinite amount of activities

Coming from London, Manchester proved to be the perfect size - not too big so you can’t explore most of it but enough to keep you for 3 years. So much going and even though it’s a city university fallowfield night as well be a campus.
