Brilliant music scene with plenty of live venues and gig opportunities for musicians, good public transport, great bars and clubs with cheap drinks and all within walking distance of each other, cheap student accommodation but good quality and the cost of living is very cheap too.

Never lacking for things to do. Excellent night life, culture, food, music. There's galleries, museums and cinemas to choose from if you want to take a break from the alcoholism too. Magic buses constantly going and only 1.50 through the day

I love the city of Manchester, there is so much going on for al walks of life and meeting people, especially like minded people from across the country and even the world, I've made friends for life and I've grown into myself and my passions and being in such an exciting city and place gives me a big sense of that!

The building at MMU brooks is out of the way and means either a tram and bus or a tram and walk (which I usually do). This is inconvenient when I’m in uni for 2 hours but it takes me that long to get to and from the building.

Manchester is amazing - something is always going, the city is so diverse so there's a plethora of options for you to choose when eating out or going for a drink. It's great.

Manchester is a large and diverse city where there is always something going on. The shopping centre has everything you might need, the night life is second to none, and there is a great independent dining scene alongside the usual chains for the foodies out there. It is large so if you think that may overwhelm you then maybe look elsewhere - but personally I love being in a huge cosmopolitan city.

Manchester metropolitan university is in the central of Manchester where everything is available from food shops, shopping and nights out and there’s people from different cultures and background and get to know different people and it’s good value for money

The city centre is quite small but there are many restaurants in the northern quarter. Also, there are many shops (clothes) but no pull and bear and no uniqlo.

Manchester is a great location for students. Plenty of interesting places to eat and drink, with most doing regular food offers.

Manchester is a great city with tonnes of nightlife all different and to s*** everyone. Similarly there is a vast range of places to eat from high to low price, and from western to eastern cuisine. The shopping is great as there is the Armadale and the Trafford centre which house the best shops.

Amazing city, literally everything a student could want, tonnes of societies, stuff to do and plenty of spaces to study (I'd avoid Ali G though because it gets rammed). Nightlife not as lit as it used to be but still really good...RIP Antwerp. Plenty of bars and pubs as well if you're into that. Deffo check out the Northern Quarter, its expensive but full of loads of cool places so well worth it. Despite the rep this uni isn't just for edgy hipsters, could not recommend it more.

Manchester is need of decent clubs as the best ones are closing down - Antwerp, Sound Control, Sankeys. The shopping is great, especially the Trafford Cente being only a bus ride away!
