Manchester life is v good, however the night life is getting worse as many clubs are shitting down. The shopping excellent and there is a great variety of food places.

Coming from a fairly small town, the amount of things to do in Manchester is a little overwhelming. Put short the food is top, especially in Chinatown (The Great Wall being a recommendation) and the nights out are even better with lots of variety from the dozen or so music venues to the inclusive gay village which is a great night gay or straight. My only gripe with Manchester would be the price if you don't want to spend your nights in Spoons the drinks alone will quickly empty your pockets with many places having the cheek to charge over £4 for a pint, with some exceptions such as the union bar and such. So if you're cheap like me I'd strongly recommend getting pre's in before experiencing everything Manchester has to offer.

Transport is fantastic. Magic bosses all day for only £1.50. Can't comment on the nightlife. Heard it's very good. Shopping is superb. Eating out has the widest choice of restaraunts I've ever seen. Student rent is annoyingly high as it is everywhere. Entertainment: think of anything you'd like to do, you can do it in Manchester.

I chose my uni mainly because of the location and I can honestly say, I have had the best time here. There is so much to do in Manchester and the university is amazing too!!

Manchester is a great city, loads of amazing bars/restaurants/cafes, especially in the Northern Quarter.

Really close to the city centre, on the main bus route, close to everything you need. Beautiful city, great for students.

An excellent city with so much going on, a vibrant underground scene with some of the best dance acts coming from across the globe. The food scene is also A+, the northern quarter is Manchester’s answer to shoreditch.

The most beautiful in Manchester is Intu Trafford Centre. I like this place. I would like to live in Manchester, but now I can’t move on other city.

The university is really central. But I will warn you that it takes a long time to get anywhere by public transport or uber/taxi unless its a weird time, because there is a ridiculous amount of traffic. I highly recommend cycling because you can get from the main student accommodation in Fallowfield to uni in 15 minutes instead of 30 on the bus!! You can find anything you can dream of here, bars, shops, clubs etc. although most clubs are in town ( a bus/uber away)... They keep shutting the ones out of the city centre which is VERY SAD

I selected this uni based on reviews from siblings who said the night life was amazing and that for shopping there was loads of choice

The bus links aren’t very good from opal gardens and therefore don’t go out much. The shopping Ian good in arndale and in the centre of Manchester. There is nothing to do around my location and only a little local shop

There are a lot of things to do however they are all mainly associated with alcohol. Frequent transport which is very useful and very convenient. Lots of shops and supermarkets which are easily accessible. There is a high rate of crime.

Manchester nights out are some of the best and cheapest in the country if you know where to look and the most sophisticated if you look elsewhere. There’s a wide range of places to shop and eat out with something that will please everyone. Like every big city you’re never bored and there’s always something to do. There’s also lots of parks if you want to get away from it all and just be quiet for a minute or two.

I have lived in Manchester my whole life, so didnt really need to think too much about where i would attend uni, as i knew there were many options for me. However, i never knew just how many cool places were hidden in and around my university, and i found SO many amazing food, art, clothing shops.

Nights out in manchester are very good and there are lots of different venues you can choose from. Eating out here is also varied, as is going for a drink with friends, lots of choice. I would say a lot of the student aimed places are great value for money

Apart from them crappy weather, the city is always vibrant. Full of students!! Good night outs if you like to party. Food from all over the world.

It is a big city with a rather small city centre. Everything is located in the city centre, including restaurants and shopping mall. Clubs are located mostly close to student accommodations or close to the main road. There are not many things that people can do here. Most people would recommend the football museum and stadium tour.

Manchester is a good place to go for uni. It's a nice city where there's all ways something to do from promotional student nights in nightclubs or even mini golf or bowling it's cheap enough to live here as long as u know the best places to shop my favourites are aldi and the pound shop. The tackaways are good and what ever ur cravin most of the time there's a placertain that will so what it is your after.

In Manchester, there is honestly something for everyone. There is always something upcoming, something new and something exciting just around the corner for you to try. Whether that's a new restaurant, shop or bar, Manchester never seems to get old or tire for things to do, any night of the week. Manchester continues to hold on to its strong music ties. An elaborate and exotic range of genres as well as massive names in the music scene see their way through the famous city. Not only that we even have our very own curry mile, which, whilst self explanatory is reason enough to at least check it out for yourself. Manchester offers up a charming friendliness to all, combined with the busiest and best bus route in Europe is the recipe for perfection.

Manchester is best city to be a student in!! So so easy and cheap to get buses everywhere and teams run to most places buses don’t. Also good train connections to other cities. Loads of free stuff in the city to do and good places to eat (especially northern quatre)!!! Best city nightlife out of all the cities I’ve been to when visiting friends
