I love london, it’s vibrant lights and constant whirr make it a very interesting city to live in. It’s so big and there’s something for everyone be it a quirky coffee shop, a flea marker or a trip to see a west end show. There’s always something new to discover. It’s a place that keeps on giving!

London is very diverse. One minute you could be eating in shoreditch and the next minute you’re at Peckham levels and you will always have a good time wherever you are. You can always do things by yourself or even with a group of friends in London people don’t really care about what you’re doing so don’t feel ashamed to do certain things because you’re alone!

I live in Greenwich which isn’t great for nights out but has loads of stuff to do in the day, the nightclubs in the centre of London are really good and easy to get to and being London it’s expensive but there’s always things to do.

London is the most amazing City in the world. I'd highly recommend visiting the main tourist destinations such as the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, the Shard, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Among many fantastic restaurants such as Kaspar's at the Savoy, Sushi Samba and Oblix I recommend visiting as many of the rooftop bars as you can. My favourites include Sushi Samba, Sky Gardens, Tower 42, Radio Rooftop bar and Trafalgar at St James.

Decent night life with spots such as Atik and silk lounge but only one cinema with not many showings.

London is an expensive place to live as a student but so much nightlife and culture it is worth it. Each are is so diverse you can never get bored and there is such good connections to anywhere in the country. Transport is great but again fairly expensive

Not much to do and quite a lot of things are quite far from each other. Shops also close too early for me liking.

Amazing place for food, night out or walks in a park! You will find anything you'd every want! It can sometimes be a little expensive for a student but it totally worth the experience of the hustle and bustle of the capital city. Everything is very easily accessible with the bus and the tube network so the whole city is your oyster.

The nights out are great! Whether it's student nights out or normal ones. Yes sometimes they can be a bit more expensive than out of London but you can't replicate a London night out anywhere else! There is so much choice for food and there are always 24hour food services about.

Holborn is easily accessible with a great selection of places to eat as Covent Garden is a 10 minute walk away. However during rush hour periods it can be hard to enter and exit the area.

London is an exciting, vibrant and diverse city with a million and one things to do. Although the cost of living is high (pints are a fiver in a standard pub) there are lots of things to do cheaply or for free, the transport is brilliant and you'll never have a dull day (unless you want to). Make sure you don't get trapped and remain in central London the entire time because the city is so big that you'll miss 90% of it. Although Oxford Street is one of the best known streets in the UK and home to every highstreet shop you can thing of (there are five Zaras...), walk five minutes and you'll be in the heart of soho, with vintage, boutique and charity shops all around. Go to Kew Gardens or Greenwich Observatory for a nature day, go East for friendly people and nights that never end, go North for community and markets, go South for wicked food and go West for a little fanciness or for the legendary Notting Hill Carnival in August. There's music on every other corner, festivals littered throughout summer and always something new to engage with. Free comedy nights, free art shows, free museums, cool bars, an amazing skyline and even cable cars. Get involved.

The London's night life is one of the most important parts of the city and its citizens. The most memorable and interesting experience I had with the Fabric night club, which is mainly focused on my favorite house and techno music. The most crazies nights are in this club! What is interesting, Fabric has been opening its doors to ravers and drum-and-bass enthusiasts, EDM pixies and grime goblins since it opened its doors in 1999, at the height of London's house and breakbeat renaissance. It's synonymous with the kind of London club scene that goes hand-in-hand with the gritty London glam that brought about its now infamous summer festival scene, and it draws a truly diverse crowd. While it may not remain as cutting-edge as Corsica Studios or Miranda, it brings together the most loyal followers of techno and all its sub-genres. My first time, when I heard about it, was during a conversation with my friend from America, who was obsessed with house music and who wanted to visit Fabrique for a long time ago. So, we organized the night out together with our friends and it was fantasticpy fun night! I'll never forget how cool was it.

Great city for always finding things to do. There are a surprising number of nice parks for walk in that are completely free. Also many free museums in South Kensington which is great. Cost of living and cost of eating out etc. Is a real down side. Also it can get super busy so if you like your breathing space then this is not gonna be the best place for you. But overall you get used to it and I am gonna miss London when I leave, even though I much prefer whiter places.

Without being extremely cliche, there is always something to do in London. People can be terrified of leaving small towns to move to the big city but , depending on where you live, there are some really lovely neighbourhoods in London that don't feel like you're in the city. The teen areas are perfect for summer and there's literally something you can do every single day. from food markets, eateries and events for foodies to jam nights and gigs to music lovers to quirky pop ups and tons of shopping. Okay , yes , rent will slowly take your soul and leave you on a vey tight budget to actually have a life of any kind but - it's all about being thrifty ! Warning - I know people always describe cities as having everything on your doorstep but that is not the case . I swear no matter where you're trying to go it takes 40mins to get there! Or maybe that's just me ...

London is a great city to live in, there's so much going on and you're never short of things to do. The transport is great, however it is expensive and adds up quickly. The cost of living is also very high, so you need to factor this in to your budget.

London is a very cosmopolitan city and I've had the chance to experience that whilst getting to know a wide range of nationalities. It's really one of the best cities in the world, although rent and living costs are quite expensive.

As a student London can be a little bit expensive, however, it’s worth living here as it holds a ton of plans and you never get bored. In central London there is a vast amount of shopping areas and tourist attractions such as museums, galleries and gardens. It is a great city for the nightlife, however, drinks are expensive. Its a multicultural city where I find there’s a lot of opportunities waiting for people. I am based in south west London. It’s a beautiful part of the city, specially Notting Hill (portobello market and holland park) Kensington, Sloan Square, Richmond, Fulham.... Also on the other side of the city there is intriguing places such as Shoreditch, Camden town (cyberdog) and the markets. Some cheap eats for students I would highly recommend would be: Franco manca, Foodilic, Itsu, Nando’s and many more which have student discount on certain week days.
