Since day 1 I knew London was going to be the city of entertainment. From a ridiculous amount of art galleries, to hundreds of gigs a week and extensive program at the theatre. As a student it is best to make use of all the discount we get. Go out there and let London culture absorb you. Probably my favourite venue for music venue is the O2 in Brixton, it is a small and intimate space but if you are looking for something cheaper check out the lantern society. Charity shopping at Oxfam and crisis are ideal for students. Find Zara for £5 and save up for the fun stuff! There is such a great variety for food. You'll find any type of cuisine. If you are veggie or vegan head to archway to the loving hut for a £6 all you can eat lunch. I guess the only negative aspect of London is that it can get very lonely for the amount of people who live there.

Though London is relatively expensive, it is one of the best and most vibrant cities ever. There are so many things to do, ranging from museums to night clubs, and the transportation available is very convenient. Food is great, people are lovely, I do not regret coming to London.

Pretty good, lots of stuff to do but can be expensive so might need to have some quiet nights in, luckily there's lots of great delivery places. The clubs are alright but play the same music but if you're into that then don't worry. There's a lack of greenery and nature but that's expected, although there's some nice parks if you want that

Expensive city but really good places in the West End! It can be very hard to find theatre tickets to shows that I want to see however there should be more student discounts and it should be catered and more friendly for the pocket of 25<.

there’s a lot to do during the day as well as amazing nightlife. A lot of nice places to go for dinner as well as many street food stalls which are delicious. A lot of markets with £1 fruit bowls. however a lot of london is expensive rent and travel

Literally has everything and anything although the pollution is very noticeable when coming from the suburbs but other then that has many positives and is better than any other city.

Great and safe city to be in as a student. I think it’s full of great opportunities, never have nothing to do, extremely safe and great food and nightlife!

Lots of things do to during both night and day, with loads of parks, nightclubs, restaurants etc. however it can be expensive.

London is an amazing city to live in and of course visit also. London is known for many buildings, bridges, and its tourist spots such as big ben, Buckingham Palace, London eye, the Shard, tower bridge, London bridge. The eating out and the night life in London are absolutely fabulous- most of the restaurants in central London are to die for, myself as a student and not on a lot of lot of money, I like to spoil myself to a nice meal in central London and I have never once been disappointed to be honest. London is known for how expensive it is, my honest opinion to that comment is yes, the rent in London is crazy expensive but you pay for your area, and the closer you are to central, that is where the big wages are. And the restaurants and bars which are known to be a ‘rip off’, again you are getting what you are paying for- the design and effort put into some of these places, and your service- everything is just spot on and you have to look around and realise you are paying for the experience also, not just the drink or the food, and trust me, many of them are worth it. There are endless things to do in London.

I love London because it’s such a mix of people and there’s always something going on whether it’s a gallery or a club nights. As in a muscion the music scene is great as it’s so full and there’s so many people doing it that are great that I can meet and then bounce off. Although the housing price is horribly exspensive so it’s extremly hard to live in London unless your really rich ;))))

London is such a diverse place with so many cultural food to choose from! Due to it being the capital there are many shopping centres, however, online is always better of discounts. There are lots of things to do, free things to do includes going to the park and museums aswell as historical points of interest.

London has really good places to eat, good shopping centres , you’ll find mostly everything in London, travel is not that expensive either

Overall, an expensive city to live in but great in the sense of diversity. You learn more than you need to as simple person; at a rate as fast as the city. Seeing different cultures come together as one is more emotional than anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. Communities are formed and you become a part of one no matter what. Nights out are usually expensive, but you can always opt for the option of buying your drinks at an off-license and kick it with your friends at one of your homes - thats where the heart is. If you do feel like going out though, theres never nothing to do. Too many options to even choose from, that might be the hardest part! I’ve been to some weird a** clubs but they’re the nights I will never ever forget. Avoid any shopping centres though. As someone who always tries to save money up, i can’t manage to do that simply because any shop I go to (of the thousands available), I just can’t NOT buy something. It’s an absolute nightmare!

Everything is in close proximity from entertainment like cinemas and the London aquarium to food. Transportation system is modern and efficient.

There is much to love about a city like London. From the various pubs to the ever vibrant nightlife. Belushi’s bar in London bridge has become a personal favorite for my friends and I. Drinks after lectures or even Karaoke on various nights makes these cold London nights a bit more warm.

Going out overall has its ups and downs some places are great some I should’ve researched more, the best part is that I’m always finding deals and discounts so even though London is expensive it can be less so with a bit more research. Most of the food is great, something for almost everyone. I love things like Uber eats but I haven’t found any good Mexican food yet. Tons of stuff to do: plays/musicals, gigs, shopping, comedy clubs, etc. shopping is good but pricey.

London is definitely one of the best places to live as a student. Even though rent and transport costs are quite high, it’s a really exciting place to live in, with new things happening every week. Every Tuesday, I pick up a copy of the TimeOut London magazine, which is free at most tube stations. Theres loads of things in there- including new restaurants that have opened, upcoming gigs or festivals and my favourite page in it- free London, which shares all the free events for the week. You get such a vast diversity of people in London that you’ll find your kind of people, just have to get out there and explore!
