City full of students with 100s of things to do - shopping, theatre, nights out, bars. Leeds is being called the London of the north which shows how much there is going on, but prices are starting to suffer a little bit in some areas.

Leeds was my second choice university for me after Manchester, luckily my first choice feel through and little old Leeds is where I landed! Everything is compact together but with loads of different things going on all of the time. Leeds is a non stop city which caters for all different types of students! Especially those who love a good boogie into the early hours of the morning.

Right opposite the bus station, and 20 minutes walk from the train station, ideal for transport, and ideal for shopping and nights out, being far enough from shopping and town centre for it to not be annoying, but close enough to get there easily on a night out. There's loads of places to grab coffee or a bite to eat, and only 5 minutes walk to get some quality full meals. Overall a great place to be!

Leeds City Center is a great place for days out.. this can also include nights out. Loads of shops in the trinity and a vast amount of food. Also around the city center., beat real time is summer! Loads of different people and entertainment and food stalls.

Leeds has so much to offer from shopping’s, clubs, pubs, bars and many evens and parades. The city is great with loads of places to eat and things to do. It has a great student community

Really good city to live in, the campus is lush and green in summer and everyone is really friendly and helpful. In terms of nights out they are all incred and taxis to anywhere are pretty cheap like under a tenner.

Leeds is a great city, it has everything a student could posssibly need and everything is affordable unlike London. It's also got loads of green space so it doesn't always feel like a city. The student life is buzzing and especially in Hyde park there is a massive sense of a student community which is nice. There's loads of different scenes for nightlife that suits everybody.

Leeds... well you have captured my heart, I moved from a small village 3 years ago to start my university life,in a daunting, big, but thrilling city. Well you have not disappointed. From my first night out at pryzm (quids inn of course) to an otley run with my dearest friends... every night out does not disappoint! There’s something so special about being able to get drunk for less than a tenner with all your best pals, going out in your trainers,no one caring and just dancing the whole night away! Having been to other cities there’s no where you can do this and not be judged! But Leeds anything goes!! And let’s not miss out the shopping and food places, wow is the only word to justify! The struggle of limtiting it down to one place to eat is the biggest dilemma you’ll have on a Saturday when your home gals come to visit or your family. Will it be as fancy as the alchemist in trinity for the most magical concoctions of cocktails? Or the casual but exotic likes of trinity kitchen where it can please the most fussiest of eaters (sorry sis). Anyway I could not recommend Leeds any more you have truly made my three years at uni so much I have decided to stay another year! Love u

Leeds is full of character. There is so much history here and the city centre is full of old buildings that are really beautiful. The nightlife is like no other and there’s so many venues to choose from. In terms of clubs, there is something to suit everyone no matter who you are.

Close to everything, not cheap for drinks but enough student nights to make things cheap

location is in the middle of England so that it’s very convenient for traveling. Food is good, variety of dishes from different parts of the world. Combine historical and modern vibes together. Yorkshire countryside is awesome.

I love the independent business scene and Leeds is absolutely great for it. There are so many independent restaurants that offer some of the best food you will ever try. I personally love Trinity Kitchen as it offers several street food places in one small area. Not only this, Leeds offers a good nightlife scene and has many pubs and bars for those student who don't just like student clubs.

Leeds, it’s a pretty brilliant place to spend your time. It’s got everything you need busy city vibe shops for days tons of food places. The night life is incredible so many clubs to go off to and the people are hilariously friendly many DJs are from the university itself so the music is what 18-22 year olds would listen to so your in for a treat if it’s baseline, techno and if not get absolutely smashed and then you’ll like it. Trinity is a huge shopping centre with tons of places to go in to but there’s also mini shopping centres placed around it for food or smaller shops if the larger ones are busy it’s not just all about trinity. There are loads of hidden food gems around obviously you’d have your big brand Nando’s who wouldn’t love but there’s little takeaways or pubs festered around that have secretly amazing food, there’s so much to do in Leeds from ice skating to the cinema to even drinking whilst playing ping pong you can’t go wrong with it so I love it anyone else would.

Nights out are good for those who like raves house, pop, chart music etc...however r’n’b hip hop n bashment scene is lacking. You can find everything you need in the city centre which is easily accessible through bus/train. Taxis are cheap. Lots of events on a daily basis in leeds, people are friendly. Hyde park is a great student place to live.

The campus is very close to the city centre so everything you need is within close reach. The city centre itself is relatively small but contains all the shops you need including high end retail. Nightlife and entertainment is really good. Transport is mainly buses and they are pretty bad at running to schedule.

Good night life, loads of bars/pubs/clubs which are all pretty cheap. There loads of restaurants and shopping centres and there's a lot of nice parks for the summer that are all close to the student areas. It's clean and calm city but with everything you need.

Brilliant location with easy access to many major cities throughout the North and South. Only takes an hour to Sheffield and Manchester, and 2.5 hours to London. Also surrounded by lots of countryside

Leeds is a great city for students, there is a great DIY music and art scene so there are always new and exciting events on. The city is big enough to have space for loads of evened but is also small enough that there is a nice sense of community. Leeds is cheap, making it ideal for students and a great place to stay all year around as the city is still alive even when students leave for holidays. It is also really easy to escape the city and there are beautiful walks even just 10/15 minute train journeys away from the city centre.

Leeds is a fantastic city to be a student in! I loved it from the first day I visited. It's big enough to always have things going on but small enough to learn your way around easily and have everything within walking distance. Great nightlife for a cheap night out and loads of amazing cocktail bars that do live music, such as jazz nights and acoustic evenings. Fairly cheap to live on a budget and theres always free stuff going on to get involved with. There's a great variety of food places and it's a great place to be vegan or veggie, especially when there's a street food festiv on. Overall I love living in Leeds and it's where I want to stay after I graduate..

I have lived in Leeds for over 5 years and over this time I have had the opportunity to see the city grow. Now you have so many possibilities for a day out, museums, art galleries, many different restaurants, cinemas, concerts... there is so much more and there’s still more to come. The only inconvenience I see is actually finding a place to live. There are not many flats available and the ones that are, are very expensive for a student... overall it’s a great place to live if you are prepared for the weather!

Leeds is such a great place to study due to the amount of students because of the many universities in Leeds City Centre. There is a fabulous vibe in the city that you won’t get bored of. All the shops are super close together which means my much walking about if you want to do some shopping. A huge bonus in Leeds is Deliveroo and Uber eats, not to mention getting around Leeds in Uber’s is just perfect! You can easily order a Nando’s when hungover after a fabulous night out. After going to university, this is definitely a city that I would love to live in and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Living in Leeds is great, there’s plenty of nights out to choose from, and the drinks aren’t too expensive. There’s plenty of things to do plus it has a lot of shops. It’s a city which hosts a wide range of people, being very diverse and cultural.

Campus uni in the middle of the city so everything is so close. Tesco is right opposite the uni. Nearest big shopping supermarket is Morrison’s, around a 15-20 minute walk which is a little Dad when carrying all your shopping back. However this is just before all the these big shops so it isn’t cheap sent to into the city centre. Train station 25-30 minute walk. Trinity is in the heart of the centre which has shops, cinema, entertainment and restaurants. Night clubs and Wetherspoons near Morrison’s so not far either.
