Leeds is a lovely city for students. Nights out, food and shopping can be easily accessible even if you don't live in the city center. Overall prices vary but Leeds is not a very expensive city if you know where to go.

Leeds is a city that is always full of life! It is a big change from where I live at home in a seaside town. There is a range of nightclubs as well as bars to go to at night. Plenty of places to eat out. Trinity is amazing for shopping with a wide range of shops in it. The university itself is situated in a great place. The £1 student bus fair is great.

Leeds has more than enough to offer. The nightlife is fantastic, with plenty of bars and clubs available. Food is in plenty from fast food to upper class dining. Value for money is very good - you can buy a pint for £2.

A thriving city accepting of all. With excellent nightlife from £1 entry clubs and £1 drinks to plentiful real ale barss and high end cocktail experiences you can socialise as far as your student loan allows. Bussyling retail sectors providing ample part time jobs and as the fastest growing city outside of London the graduate jobs that are typically exclusive to the big smog have made there way up north to God’s own county.

Great city. Very metropolitan and so much to do for students as there are 4 universities. I took my car and so it was also just a twenty minute drive from beautiful yorkshire countryside when you need a break from city life.

I love the vibes in Leeds. It has everything; from high street shops to more affordable ones. Also, it has endless options for going out. I particularly prefer brunch spots and chill out places with love music. The only drawback for me is the money. However, there are a lot of student offers or daily/monthly offers which you can take advantage of. Also, I like the thing that Leeds is very close to the Yorkshire countryside. I enjoy walking and hiking in many nearby places – most of them less than one hour away. Leeds is the perfect location to leave (except the weather I guess).

Leeds is a great city. You're never stuck for places to go to eat, drink or shop. There is somewhere for everyone. Hyde park and Headingley areas are very student based, providing the best prices at some cool places, one being 'ARC' bar, where cocktails are 2-4-1 all day everyday and food is half price on a Tuesday. Uni of Leeds and Leeds Beckett are both between headingley and the city centre and so everything is in walking distance or just alternatively you can get the bus for £1 (student fare). If you are a party animal, there is a student night out every night of the week (excluding Sunday's but bars are still always lively and there are plenty of pubs).

Leeds offers a wide variety of things to do and embraces different cultures with its choice of restaurants, galleries and music events. Music in particular is one of Leeds strongest aspects, through the extensive range of gigs and nightlife which accommodates a broad range of tastes. The buses usually run efficientally and regularly. Events organised, such as the Indie Food festival, Live at Leeds and the Light Night make Leeds an exciting place to live.

The University of Leeds is in a very convenient location, right in the heart of the city of Leeds. It's close to all the top restaurants and bars and Trinity Shopping centre, which is the largest in Leeds is only 15 minutes walk away. Everything can be accessed through walking distance. Great location.

Food is amazing especially the kebabs and pizza always a top notch. Nights out are good as it's always busy and there's a place for everyone and it isn't too expensive it is average on drinks and some places have dead cheap food.

Leeds is a great city with something for everyone! We have several shopping centres in town and on the outskirts, lots of night clubs and bars including the amazing Call Lane. There are a huge range of restaurants and cafes splattered around the city with options for everyone and museums and galleries too. And if you’re into nature and the outdoors, within an hour you can be in the Yorkshire Dales, Roundhay, Otley and Ikley from the centre of town. Leeds is a brilliant city to live in, especially if you’re a student!

Nice enough location, Hyde Park is nearby and it’s always pretty when it’s sunny. The walk into town is not too far but coming back there’s a massive hill.

Leeds is awesome for nights out! If you are looking for cheap drinks then i would recommend Yates on a wednesday night but any other day of the week then the gay strip which starts at Fibre and ends at the New Penny is the way to go! To find the strip it starts at the Mcdonalds and Nandos at the bottom of New Briggate. As for food you have a wide variety of the usual fast food chains as well as some places inside Trinity and Victoria Gate shopping centres such as Issho (Victoria Gate - Japanese). As for shopping there are quite a few shopping centres in the city centre alone and these are The Merrion Centre, St John's, Trinity, Grand Arcade, The Core and of course, Leeds's new acquisition, Victoria Gate which has John Lewis as it's flagship store.

Amazing places to eat, have cocktails and shop. Many gym facilities to choose from. Plenty of things to do like going to the museums, Hyde park and otley run. Plenty of student offers making it value for money and student events e.g. boohoo sale, 2 for 1 cocktails
