Good size of city, everything you need in walking distance. Lots to do, and lots of events such as rugby, concerts, international and club football etc. good restaurants and shops.

The great thing about Cardiff is that there’s always something to do. There’s numerous clubs to suit all tastes, different activities you can get up to in the day (like an Escape Room or Lazer Tag), and the value for money at the cinemas especially is great.

Cardiff is a great capital city where everything can be found nearby. A vast amount of restaurants to choose from, Cardiff won't leave anyone hungry. The shopping centre is massive and caters for everyone's needs. Overall it's a very artistic city with plenty of entertainment.

The nightlife in Cardiff is incredible and versatile, there is a place for all music types- ranging from buffalo drum and bass nights to live music nights out at live lounge (rock/acoustic) to your chart type music in pryzm or Glam. My personal favourite is the Cardiff SU which usually hosts regular events such as Hannah wants and Cirque de sol. There are many little indie coffee shops- underground, coffee barker, field of beans and obviously main attractions like the Cardiff Castle and the bay. Just outside of the city are beautiful beaches and mountains to climb (breacon), Cearphilly is also a couple of miles away where you can visit the castle- so there is plenty to do if you're the outdoorsy type. The shopping is great, many popular shops- theres always someone busking in the streets while you shop which is great! Overall it is considerably cheap to live in Cardiff for a capital city.

Cardiff University is perfectly located near to the centre of Cardiff. It is walking distance to everything in the city and this makes it perfect for students who would like to save money on transport. Cathays, where students move to after halls, is a student hub and there are very few non students in this area.

The university is a 5 minute walk from Queens Street train station and a little further to Central Station. It's also 8 minutes down the road from the bus stops. The university is also 5 minutes away from the shopping centre where there are plenty of restaurants, to-go restaurants, clothing and other popular shops. As well as this, there are also loads of bars and nightclubs 10 minutes away. The only downfall is that eventhough the uni is right by the city centre, there isn't much to do in the summer. The only entertainment is the cinema and the mini golf which isn't that good in the summer when you want to do something outside. There's also a lack of large supermarkets around which makes it difficult to do a food shop as all the food shops are small and pricey.

Cardiff is a great city, so great I decided to stay here for University (its where I’m from originally) the night life and city in general is amazing, with a variety of things to keep yourself entertained including theatres, cinemas and a variety of clubs and other activities. Bute and Roath Park are very close to the city centre for a relaxing time and the Bay is only a short walk/bus or train ride away which always leads to a lovely day out.

Cardiff is a nice city but for me, coming from 1.2 million Prague, it is quite small. However, almost everything I need is here, such as loads of shops, banks, restaurants, massive shopping mall and also beautiful parks. Transport though I find quite confusing and quite expensive. The city centre is lovely, especially the arcades and so is Cardiff Bay, my favourite place. There are also many students and international people, which makes the experience even more interesting.

Cardiff is a lovely small city with enough variety, without the crowded nature of cities like Manchester and Birmingham. The city has 4 universities, each occupying fairly different areas of the city- therefore creating an important divide. However the sheer number of students means nights out are guaranteed to be fun, and without fear of creepy locals. Cardiff is an insanely cheap city to live in- rent is around £300ppcm for a double room in a shared house- much better than other student cities. Furthermore the city centre and student areas are full of budget friendly, but amazing, places to eat and shop.

Cardiff is an amazing city that has everything you could ever need but without the rushed grumpy vibes of most big cities. People are friendly and more willing to chat than places like london. The shops are fab, from your general hightsteeet shops to your more hidden vintage places. There's always somewhere cheap to go out, quids in pryzm Mondays, live lounge happy hour every day, retros and the free drinks packages in revs make nights out amazing and inexpensive. Loads of great pubs and bars around and so much to do. As soon as you drive out of Cardiff you're surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. Definitely an incredible place to live. Everything is within walking or cycling distance.

Cardiff has the perfect location; having lived in the countryside for a majority of my life it was important to me that where I went to uni was had all the things I needed within walking distance (since I was so used to needing a car or bus even to get to the nearest shop) Like night clubs, the library, shops, gym, etc. I’m also a big fan of the coast, so Cardiff was able to offer me the city, the bay, and even beaches a short train ride away from the centre. Another great thing about Cardiff’s location is the number of gardens and parks within short distances from my house and from the centre, meaning you still get big, open, green spaces, like Bute Park, even in the middle of the city.

Cardiff is a great place to live with big city events but the quaintness and safety of a small town. The city centre and neighborhoods like pontcanna are probably the best areas to explord and Cardiff University sits really close to both. Theres lovely parks, great shopping areas and the restaurants arent too bad although things are pretty pricey for what you get. Overall great experience.

Great student city with lots going on! Everyone lives in the same area (Cathays) and you always bump into people you know. Best nights out and plenty of shops in the area.

Cardiff is a great student city renowned for its nightlife and is brilliant for day trips. For example, to the Brecon Beacons, Barry Island, Swansea, Caerphilly. Cardiff bay and the many parks around the city also provide us with nature also. This city also holds tons of gigs. There are lots of castles so if history is jam then you're set. Just be careful of the seaguls.

Cardiff has an amazing nightlife for fans of all kinds of music and people of all backgrounds, from Drum and Bass to Rock, Cardiff has it covered. The city is filled with a large diversity of students.

It’s super nice and friendly location - everything you need in one place. Cheap entertainment for example the cinema tickets are only two pounds and ninety pence for students. It is a campus university but you can pretty much get anywhere by walking for around maximum 30 minutes

Hereford College Of Arts - The perfect small town for any artists in any fields, surrounded by nature and a good amount of pubs this is fantastic to get your head down and allow your creativity to express! I chose this uni because I wanted to focus on art and leave the partying til the summer. Although this hasn't worked 100% as i've had an extremely fun and wavy time with the purest of souls!

The city centre in Cardiff is big compared to back home. With different clothing shops to purchase new items for your wardrobe. As well as restaurants and cafes to fulfil your hunger. Our lying dowe side is the maps in St Davids shopping centre need to have more of as well as being more readable to understand.

Good sized city - not too big that it’s daunting or you feel lost and not too small so you don’t feel like you’re still in your home town. Everyone is friendly, a nice atmosphere. Especially busy on match days! St David’s shopping centre is massive and has pretty much all the shops you could want - however places like Bristol are only about an hour away on the train if you fancied a change of scenery. Loads of places to eat, especially out of the city centre in places like city road. There’s all the big standard clubs if that’s what you’re in to, but there’s a club, venue or themed nights to suit nearly every music taste. Summer brings lots of rooftop and outside day parties! If clubbing isn’t your thing there and endless clubs and bars to have a drink in. Cardiff definitely has a good mixture and something for everyone.
