The University of Reading

Good campus, wellbeing and careers services and very good student union, with good nights out and good bars, pub quizzes etc. But the library has been in refurbishment for the entire time I've been there and so has the student union for the last terms. The psychology department promisses a lot of support and guidance but when it comes to it no one replies to email/queries. A lot of things within the department are very poorly planned and just don't make any sense.

The facilities here are good you have supermarkets within walking distance and on campus. The bus here is also very convinient as there is a bus every now and then. The career services are great as you get a lot of career fairs and talks about it. There is a lot of events and activities on campus. You will also have extra support like a mentor to guide you through your course and career. A lot of support is given to relief your stress from your workload like meditation and sports for you to join.

I feel as though the student Union (RUSU) is extremely helpful they take all of your concerns seriously. There is also a lot of help offered for career advice, which is very comforting as they can help you find the right career path that suits you. However I wish they had more study spaces on campus, with the library being refurbished there isn't much space left.

I really enjoy the campus size, however it would be nice to have more social areas. I wish the student union had more information at the start of the year as I was slightly clueless about events going into freshers week.

The lecturers I'm the psychology department are phenomenal and everything is much easier when it's all on Blackboard like it is.

Lots of building work going on on campus to improve everyone's experience. This has meant study space has been limited due to the library renovations. Food market on Thursdays is a welcoming change and offers the opportunity to try something new.

I've had the absolute time of my life so far, the year has gone so quickly and I've met so many like-minded and amazing people here. I can't wait to come back for a second year and I never want the experience to end!

Studying Mathematics at this Uni has really been an experience for me. The lecturers all provide lecture notes with many examples, that have really helped to develop my learning. There is also a wide range of support such as units in the Library that can aid with any difficulty.

The campus is absolutely stunning. Perfect for walks in between studying, especially by the serene lake which really brings peace to the mind. The greenery is very impressive, one of the most green campuses I've seen.

My time at reading uni has been very enjoyable. The nightlife and societies are always fun and varied. The student union nights are by far my fave of the week and there are so many societies to choose from. My lecturers are good and very supportive which is very helpful. However, the only downside so far is there seems to be that there has been no appropriate action taken in order to make up for all the strike action meaning most students lost a lot of lecture time and therefore lost a lot of money and their education has suffered.

the campus is quite big and very peaceful. whenever you feel stress out with exams, you could find peace near the lake with all the ducks and swans swimming happily. the library is huge and there are loads of seating available.

Campus is very spacious and green although the buildings are fairly ugly. Has many facilities and services but does not have a pool. Careers advice and student support services are incredibly useful and easy to access.

The Primary Education course is very unique, well organised and enjoyable. London Road campus is nice and welcoming but could use more study space.

Reading campus has a nature reserve, so you can sit and watch the wild life while sipping coffee from the many cafes on site. The buildings are light and spacious with loads of study areas. The SLT course is excellent with a wide range of interesting subjects and Placements. I would recommend both the Uni and course.

The university of Reading has beautiful campus, with a lake, a forest and a lot of greenery. The sports facilities on campus are extensive and better than what I expected. I find my lectures friendly and helpful and approachable, I believe it is easy for students to see their lectures when they have issues. Overall I am happy with my university.

The campus is very beautiful. it has a wide variety of different buildings to suit everyones tastes. As well as a large lake right in the centre of campus which is lovely to sit by and relax, especially during summer!. As the library is currently in construction, there is not as many study spaces available and therefore may not be as appealing, however there are a variety of different locations if the URS building does not have enough study space.

The affects of having a beautiful campus can easily be forgotten if not under appreciated. The university of reading’s green woodlands, amazing gardens and famous lake surrounded by animals will almost always take my breath away. The students are all friendly and welcoming, and because of the amount of societies one can join, there is a place for everyone at Reading. Also, the student union nightlife bangs

The campus is absolutely beautiful, it is open enough that you can enjoy the scenery but close enough that it does not take too long to reach any building. There is a huge lake as part of the campus and lots of nature around to help relax you when you are stressed out.

The uni is beautiful with all of the amenities that you need on a large, green campus. It feels very safe and it is easy to navigate. It feels very friendly and is supportive to all needs.
