Nights out are amazing, location is ideal and very easy to get into the city centre from Fallowfield.

Great city, tonnes of stuff to do, plenty of shops and eateries and great clubs at night. Easy access from student areas due to frequent buses etc.

It’s the busiest student city in the uk with night buses, clubs, parks and student activities on every corner. Probably is one of the best places to experience the student lifestyle.

Plenty of places to go eat and drink, either along the main shopping centre or explore the secret bars in the northern quarter. Loads of high street stores with reasonable prices. The night life is booming as it has many clubs and bars especially along deansgate, the student bars are also good for money.

There is sooooo much to do in Manchester, you will never get bored! From restaurants everywhere to fun quirky places to entertain yourself. Shopping is easy with the arndale centre and one of the biggest Primark’s you have ever seen. Some things in Manchester an be a little pricy however if you learn to shop in the right places then it’s cheap as chips!

There really is no better place to be, like London but cheaper. There's always some free stuff to do and shopping in town is pretty good with the Trafford if you want a bit more viarety. Public transport is easy to get your head around a'd pretty cheap to get passes for.

Manchester is very hard to beat in terms of a location as it has everything you need from great bars and pubs . Plenty to do all within reasonable walking distance. The like of areas such as fallowfield or Withington are all handy to get to uni on the magic bus

MMU is just outside of the city centre which means that the walk to and from nights out is short. There are loads of local transport links such as buses, trains and the metrolink.

Keele University has a great location. It’s extremely beautiful all year round. And we have the benefit of having the biggest campus in the UK, or so I’ve heard. All you need to do is take a five minute walk go find something new. The area itself is great. There’s loads to do and see, such as, Alton Towers, Trentham Gardens or even Stoke waterpark. Yeah can get pretty much anything you want or need despite it being such a small town.

The Manchester metropolitan university is situated in the perfect location for students, right in the hustle and bustle of Manchester. It’s located on oxford road, which offers many eateries, bars, nightclubs, and so much more! It’s also a short 10 minute bus ride into the town centre, which costs students only £1.50! Manchester is one of the best places in the UK for shopping, with both the arndale and Trafford centre. The northern quarter is also a great place to venture as a student, with loads of thrift / charity shops, record shops, beer gardens, quirky cafes and the famous afflecks which is an indoor market with dozens of independent stalls, small shops and boutiques!

I really enjoy being based in Manchester for uni because there's so much around here to do - shopping, nights out, theatre, museums etc. It can be expensive because it's a major city but that's to be expected. There's always something going on around here!

I think Manchester has great art galleries which I have really enjoyed going to. The food is great, loads of lovely restaurants however i would love to see more markets. I think Manchester is do friendly and its expanding and developing all the time.

Everything you need surrounding the uni. The famous curry mile on one side with every takeout youd need after a night out, and town on the other with every place to shop and chill, or to eat out more fancy. Between the two are a bunch of different clubs and supermarkets and cinemas etc. Has everything you need and more, and not too expensive either!

Swansea university is in a great location, especially the bay campus which literally next to the beach. The town isn't too small but you can get anything you're looking for. The weather isn't great but when it is it's amazing. Friendly people all around. There's a five guys and band's too.

Manchester is a vibrant city that providers not only a safe environment for student, but an environment where students can grown and develop. Manchester is growing daily and it is providing more and more opportunities for students to get involved with the community, learn new cultures and make friends. Student night life and general living is reasonable for students as the city offer many various locations that provide discounts and saver deals for students.

Manchester is a city of great variety with a great atmosphere and the friendliest locals which makes it very welcoming for students from all over the country and the world. The liberal political atmosphere and Labour majority maintains a strong focus and support for students, making them feel heard and valued. No matter what kind of music, food or party you are into, or what night a week it is you can go dance your heart out, listen to some chill jazz or hit up any of the amazing restaurants which have student friendly prices. Manchester will cater for all tastes and it will do it well!

Manchester is a great place to go to uni for many reasons. The nightlife is lively, however, even if you are not one to enjoy nights out, there is still plenty to do! MMU uni is located in a great central area, within walking distance from the Arndale shopping centre & only a short drive away from the Trafford Centre. The transport links in the area are great & taxis are very cheap, particularly if you are coming from a city like London. Overall, Manchester is a great university experience & highly recommended!

Once you know where to go and what you like to do, manchester is a great, fun, cheap experience to have. The city caters for everyone and welcomes them with open arms. I don't think I've been in another city that embraces its own culture as much as Manchester does and that really adds to the experience. Top tip: don't go for conventional, skip the chains and the franchises and go to independent boutiques and restaurants, thats there the magic happens.

Having come from a small town in Dorset, Manchester is a world of possibility! The city is so big and diverse that you will always have something to do, and it can appeal to all people. There is no way you can go to every bar or club here, there are just too many of them. The music scene is also amazing, you have the worlds biggest artists that are regularly in town, and you have all other artists that play in the UK too. Most of which is completely affordable, obviously depending on your budget. So the night life is really what you make of it, almost everything that London can offer you at a more reasonabble price. In terms of transport, I would highly recommend the stagecoach bus pass. It does cost about £230 but, it allows you to get on any of their buses to anywhere in the city. It is really useful as most places aren't necessarily walking distance, including parts of the uni (depending on what halls you choose, the best party halls are all about 25 mins on the bus away, all the other halls are closer though). I you have any interest in football then you can get cheap tickets to city and united games through the SU for about £15, and the buses will take you the whole 45 minute journey. Again, in terms of access to food and shopping there is so much diversity. As soon as you think you have a good grasp of the food places in town you realise what Withington, Chorlton and others have to offer you too. They are just all a bus journey away as well. In terms of value for money, the city is what you make of it entirely. It is easy to spend very little, and easy to spend a lot. I know people that do both, and you just need to keep an eye on what you are doing. I have just finished my third year in Manchester and have loved every second of it. In my opinion it is the best city you can be at for uni, it offers nearly as much as London, at a very reasonable price.

Love it so so so much it’s the best place to be. Everything is so close to each uva. Originally from Newcastle which I thought was the best city in the country but living in Manchester just proved to me Manchester is the goddamn best city in the world.

I chose to stay in the same city for University, which is down to how much I love being in Manchester.

My course is good and has a good range of modules. The lab facilities are good. The students union could put on more events but it is good. Careers services are good and provide lots of help. The campus is nice and has good work spaces. The main campus is huge with quite a few libraries and an entire building of study spaces filled with computers and other facilities. I enjoy my course, it’s mostly what I have expected from uni. Maybe they could do a better job on practical teaching, but overall the level is good.great night life, good uni, real life experience and commuting. What your put through in your student experience will brutally ensure you're ready for the big bad world. The facilities are amazing and the learning spaces are great. There's a variety of well equipped sports facilities which only really lose out on their expense, which is still relatively cheaper than external facilities.

I am currently a student at Manchester Metropolitan University. Manchester is a great location to study, you can walk from on each side of the city to the other in a few minutes. There are bus routes for as little as £1.50, that take only 10 minutes to get from fallowfields to university. The location is so diverse, it’s refreshing. There’s the curry mike that’s filled with Asian cuisine and culture and the China town, decorated beautifully in traditional Chinese banners. It’s a city which is awake at all ones of the night, you can order takeAways at 3am, get buses at 4am or stay in clubs till whatever time you please. The university is extremely easy to find, located in a good area. Manchester has been closing down a lot of popular clubs though such as sankeys and antwerp mansion, clubs that attract a lot of people from other city’s.
