I’m a Warwick student, which means we’re sort of in the middle of nowhere, but this has never really bothered me. I live very close to the Cannon Park shopping centre which has most of what I need, and there are buses to Coventry and Leamington Spa. Leamington Spa is a beautiful town and where I’m choosing to live next year, with good shopping and dining out and decent clubs. I mainly go to Coventry for a night out at Kasbah, but having them both there does provide the best of both worlds whilst still giving me that campus living experience I really wanted. The only thing is that the buses can be unreliable and overcrowded.

Warwick university in Coventry. Need to take at least a 20 minute bus to get to anywhere decent. Campus is dead.

I go to the University of Warwick and so the campus is not in a city. However the closest city is Coventry and Leamington Spa is also nearby. Coventry is not the most plush environment but Kasbah can be a good night out. Leamington Spa is generally better for clubbing but both are easy to get to with the uniexpress ticket system which includes transport. The links from campus into the cities and to Coventry Railway Station are regular but not always reliable and can be very crowded.

Nights out are good but only two clubs. Not very good value for money. Not much to do but people are nice.

Not the best. Also not the worst. Would rather be in London but leamington will have to do. Good Pepes, accessible train station. Suburbs are boring. Don't waste your time in Canley. Cannon Park is the gem of Coventry suburbia.

Your first visit to Coventry will give you not so shimmery insight as to what your next 3, 4 or how ever many years you'll be attending uni for will be like. You'll be shown the fabulous modern buildings coventry university has to offer, the futuristic Engineering building, the all new and impressive Science and Health building and not to forget the student hang-out The Hub. But this is a facade as to what Coventry City is like. Sure the university is great and continues to climb the ranks. But the city has a less impressive story to tell. Seems like Coventry never left the post world war wrecks it was subject to all those decades ago. The ruins of the cathedral, as beautiful and scenic it is, is just a gloomy reminder of what Coventry could have been, but never was, and quite frankly never will be. The grey buildings, the ugly architecture, the beggars on every corner, it's just some of the things you will become accustomed to, and eventually everything you will become too; grey, ugly and begging to leave this godforsaken city. On the bright side though, you have a Primark, Wagamamas, Nandos and Odeon. Although they will have you wondering if anyone actually lives in Coventry because of how empty they always are. And tbh, this is all you will have. Unless, you would like to trek along the enchanting road that's known as Far Gosford street where foreign men will oggle you out their restaurants with 2 hygiene ratings. But hey, I wouldn't want to put you off, cos housing is cheap here! If you're a fan of rats, that is.

The university is city central so everything is conveniently in walking distance. Night life is limited but there are always options and student nights offer good prices. Common high street shops as well as restaurant chains and a sainsburys store are all in the centre. The city is quite run down and doesnt feel very safe at night but overall has everything a student needs within walking distance and many student orientated deals are around.

Nights out our okay, the shopping is average and there’s not a lot to do. Birmingham is a lot better

Ice rink is pretty cool, Ikea is alright but on the whole its a bit bleak, needs some regeneration - maybe capital of culture will help.

It has stripclubs which is a great way to destress! A perfect place for students. Great Chinese food too! Fast food, mainly kebabs could be found on nearly every street in the city centre. The train station with a bus terminal providing the 12X service, connects the train station directly to the university of Warwick on one end and the city centre on the other.

The location of Coventry Uni is good and because it's in the city centre, it's very accessible. Public transport is no issue. But if you were to find parking, there's none on some campuses.

Coventry city centre has a wide variety of shops and eateries at fairly good value. Transport links to nearby Leamington Spa and Birmingham are frequent and easily accessible. Overall a nice place to live and work.

Nothing to do, chose to come to Warwick for the ranking, coventry is a hole the Crime rates are so high and there is rampant racism, disappointment to say the least

Quite boring, days are spent waiting for something interesting to happen but every so often somebody gets stabbed.

The city is quite small but most of the people find what to do in it. Accomodation is quite expensive, but that's because lots of students rent.

I'm currently living in Earlsdon and it is a severely underrated place to live. It feels safe, possibly because it is more of a family residential area, and is far enough from the student bubble that you feel like your entire life doesn't take place within the same square mile. A good choice for final year students.

Nice small town with an excellent study campus, restaurants and areas sufficient for university students.

Sometimes feels like a dead city, other times is blooming! There are like 4-5 clubs and not that much for an actual entertainment thing. It will probably be better soon as there are so many new students and buildings coming up.

Cov night life is the bomb! Kasbah is absolutely lit on Monday nights, that is if you don't have lectures the next day. There's some nice places to eat out as well. If you come round defo check out Creams, it's the best!

Decent enough small city but sometimes lacking options for places to eat or drink. Cheap nights out to be had which is handy for students

The location is pretty good with many restaurants, bar, and shopping places around. Not being in a city, the surrounding is calm and pretty. Cinemas, bowling places, nightclubs, laser tag, paintball everything is near us.

Coventry has a great central location with 20 minutes to Birmingham and an hour to London. The shopping centre in Coventry is pretty decent, with the biggest shop in the city centre, good student night outs.

The shopping is very good apart from the fact that there is no Aldi in walking distance. Night outs are okay but there are only a couple of clubs that are quite often become very busy.
