Campus is quite nice with everything located within the two squares with a couple of shops, banks, bar it is probably the university’s best asset. The facilities are okay but some buildings can be the other side of campus and a whole building can be very quiet and not used much, also some buildings are quite old and look it when you’re in them.

Such an amazing atmosphere among students and the staff really do go above and beyond to make your learning experience as fulfilling as possible. The university also has so many employment opportunities on campus which is an added bonus as many students look for part time work alongside their course

Academically the University has been brilliant so far as they push me to my limits and get the best out of me. All my assignments have been really enjoyable and interesting and it has helped me stay motivated. In regards to social activities I'd like to know a university that's better as so far the socials have been unreal.

Faculty are genuinely very helpful, year abroad support was good. Biology department needs more money in my opinion. There's a bit of a temporal issue going on in that some buildings are very modern and some are older. Free sports for students is very good

Very diverse university which caters for all walks of life. It’s a pleasure to attend there. The student Union makes the Uni amazing. They do whatever it takes to make the experience better. The advisors for courses are extremely helpful whenever you need them as your first point of call.

Lovely uni. Great place to be a student at! I love the clubs and the night life. But need to be much more shops. There’s only 2 but they’re too expensive

Living is great. Made great friends a week in. Getting to my lectures and classes. Just wish I didn’t have to be in everyday with four of them at 10am.

Very tidy very welcoming staff and very much solid academic learning. It looks and smells like you think a Peckham in the 7”’s

The campus itself is mainly quite dated so some classrooms reflect this, however other areas like the NTC and Tony Rich building are new and in much better condition. The staff I have come in to contact with have been mostly friendly and helpful if needed, along with students working for the University. The only thing I would say bad about the course really is that we study some things in October/November for an exam that is not until May/June.

My university has an excellent careers service, providing lots of help for all students pursuing any career after university. I enjoy my course of Criminology and Essex is one of the UK's best universities for that particular course. The facilities at Essex are brilliant, with everything being helpfully centralised to one campus.
