The University of Essex

The University of essex is very well organised. Whenever I nedded help, people were always very helpful and kind. Teachers are great, always willing to help the students. My department which is Sociology is excelent. Never had any problems when needed information about anything.

The campus at this university has so much to offer, there is always all types of events taking place from educational to social events. There are lots of educational facilities that are easily accessible and the course is organised with care. If needed there is lots of support both educational and personal. There are also lots of affordable bars/clubs/restaurants on campus where you can socialise with friends.

Campus is amazing. People are nice. The su is great. I'm in for a great experience.im so happy I chose Essex it's just amazing.

University is amazing. Had a really good experience so far. Didn't realise there was such little guidance in second year, but have overcome this. Amazing support for mental health as well

The campus is great and there are loads to do outside of study time. Very multicultural! There are also loads of tasty restaurants and even a Starbucks. The university is also equipped with a great sports centre and equipped gym.

Overall this is a very good university. It's a campus university so a lot of things you almost everything you would need is in a very close proximity to you. It also creates a more communal feel because of it being a campus university. The facilities here are also great and getting better with many more buildings being built at this very moment. They offer many different courses and years abroad for those course as I am one who is doing a year abroad.

Since I got to Colchester I really loved it. My first impression of the town was good. And then the University exceed my expectations in many ways; regarding to the academic they are well prepared and have everything so structure that as a student makes me feel so confortable and relax. A living here for a month a half I noticed that the restaurants don't serve pretty good meals.

As an acting student at E15 I have thoroughly enjoyed my course so far I think the level of teaching is very high however I would ask for more performance opportunities outside of the school to improve the course.

The overlay of the campus is a little difficult to grasp and the food is expensive at su store, other than that, a lot of support is available and both lecturers and other students are very supportive and nice. The lectures have been interesting so far.

The university is a great place that offers wonderful experiences to everyone. It has a esoteric community in which everyone feels inclusive no matter what their background is. No other university can compare the greatness that is offered at the university of Essex the nightlife especially is one nobody should want to miss out on.

It's a great place to meet people and study , offer great facilities and the team are excellent and helpful with making ice at uni easy

Everything is amazing here! I study computer science and I love my course there is so much support provided. The facilities at this university are very good. There is also a 24 hour gym which is very useful as sometimes I finish classes at 6 PM so it is nice to know that I do not have to rush to get the gym.

Personally I love my course and the over all university. I wish there was more to do in Colchester as a whole however that doesn't impact on the uni and I can't wait to see the growth of Essex

The University of Essex is the perfect university for me. I choose this university for many different reasons but the main ones are; the campus, the location, the course and the student union. I actually choose this campus over another campus because of the layout and the shops/restaurants/facilities that Essex provide. The library is open 24/7 and there are many different places to eat and shops. We also have a gym and student services. My course was the most important reason, at Essex I am able to study 3 languages unlike other universities where you can only do 2 languages and have to do other 'boring' modules instead. Also we have languages for all so I'm currently studying 4 languages which I think is a great thing to have. Another big factor is our student union, we provide many different societies and events and also our VTeam which is about volunteering which I am a big part of.

The campus, although spread out across the town, is really easy to get around. The facilities are fantastic although some problems with the toilets have lead to some more uncomfortable smelling classes. The course itself is fantastic, I am learning so much and really feel like my course has everything I want. The teachers and students support is amazing and I always feel like I have someone to talk to if I need help, advice or have a problem. The student union is really friendly and the food (especially the toasties) is cheap and very tasty! So far I've found my experience to be great, the resources accessable at the library are really really good too.

It is a uni that includes all and doesn't leave any person out. They have many facilities on campus which makes things a lot easier.

Great social life. Lectures were dull as lecturers just read off powerpoints. There are a lot of international students which is great if you like meeting new people.

Love the setting of the university. It’s beautiful - there’s plenty of choice in terms of food/shops and even a theatre. My favourite part is the library. Accommodation is generally okay! Personally - they could do with more chill out areas like the SU for those who don’t live on campus and have to hang around between lectures.

Essex has a nice campus, with a lot of outdoor space. The two lakes are beautiful to sit by in the summer. SU Bar is alright, although if you want a quieter night Top Bar is better. Food on campus is okay, Buffalo Joe's isn't great but cheap. Best place to eat at the moment is Fusion Grill. Sub Zero is overpriced for a campus club, but okay. Good sports facilities, with new sports hall

Great multicultural university. Good learning resources and very helpful lectures to get the best degree possible

Campus is located in awesome location. The unit is not far away from the heart of England, London, however all around the uni are fields and you can feel the nature. City where university is located is nice. It is not very big and every third in the city is student so you can easily find some friends even in the city center.

The campus is quite nice itself and is easy to get around and find your way to various places such as shops bars and lecture halls. However its very ugly hence the reason its not 5 stars.

The course planning is satisfactory but facilities can be improved. Especially the heating system. Sometimes the rooms get too cold or hot. When reported, it takes ages to get the problem fix. Students and teachers are unable to focus during class due to the situation. As my my course stage combat, i do hope to have more combat classes and dont mind subsituting individual study slots for it.
