Sheffield Hallam university is in the heart of the city, close to many different shopping areas and food places which are just a walk away from campus. Meadowhall is just a 15 minute tram ride or 5 minute train ride, ecclesfield road has a range of different food places- Nando’s, Taco Bell, pizza express and many more. Once you’re on west street that’s when the nightlight comes to life due to them all being very close range ( the ones I like to go to) vipers, Crystal and Paris etc whereas some clubs are a bit further afield - plug which would probably be a taxi ride away.

Sheffield is a really lovely city. Very cheap. Very fun and good people. I’d recommend Revs and Brewdog as the two best spots for a night. It’s so good I’m not going home over Easter.

The vibrant and exhilarating lifestyle I can live in this incredible city really helped me develop as a person and come out of my shell as a tortoise.

Great nights out with loads of variety, food is cheap with a good amount of independent shops on Division Street and around Ecclesall Road and Sharrow Vale. The peak district is literally a 15 min drive away, or accessible by bus, which makes it ideal for long walks or runs if that’s your thing. The town centre is small but that’s the trade-off for a great student experience filled with cheap food/drinks/nights out - and you can always go shopping at Meadowhall.

I’ve lived in Sheffield all my life and I really love the atmosphere. It’s a vibrant city with some really great stuff to do. West Street has good nightlife but there’s loads to do if you don’t drink too.

Sheffield is a fun little city. Very hilly, but coking from Leeds Uni last year, it seems like a beta version of Leeds due to the size. However, would recommend to people

I loooooove Sheffield! Fifth biggest city in the UK but feels small and easy to navigate. Right next to the Peak District as well which is amazing- 15 minutes from the middle of the city to gorgeous countryside.

Overall Sheffield is a great place. The town centre is easily accessible and walking distance from the university, transport around Sheffield is affordable and the different places coming to the town centre is constantly expanding

Sheffield is a really great city to go to uni. I am two thirds of the way through my first year and have grown up in London and Brighton and it's such a nice change. Everyone is so friendly and the city has a nice feeling to it. The nightlife is amazing and there are loads of places to go out and things to do.

The fact that there are two universities in the city make it a brilliant student atmosphere, it's really fun and there are lots of bars, pubs and clubs. However, there's a huge shopping centre just outside of the city so when you really need to buy something it can cost you a £4 tram ride, which is irritating. Also, the city is very hilly which can be a drag.

Great for a night out, clubs are great, code, corp, leadmill are all great and the bars on west street are good too! Great for people just wanting a cocktail with Revolution well located! Shopping on the high street is easy to get to and only a short train journey along to Meadowhall for an even better experience! Also a good range of restaurants :)

Great to eat out in Sheffield, so many independent places. Bars are great and cheap! Buses are only a quid for students but you can walk to pretty much everywhere around the city.

Most beautiful thing about this city is it is very lively there are lot of students to mingle up with..the railway station is simply beautiful and just 5min walk from the main campus , clubs, pubs and restaurants are so nearby .. everything is just so accessible . It’s one of the best places I’ve been to

All the clubs/pubs/bars that theyve got in Manhester/Leeds but without anywhere near as many pretentious t**ts.

I love Sheffield ! You're always close to somewhere to go! Nightlife is amazing and so many places to choose from. There is always a shop that's open all the time in case you need it. Amazing place

University of Sheffield is in a great location, centre of the city surrounded by hundreds of restaurants, cafes and shops. There are many clubs that are very affordable and offer great night outs for students. It’s also a bonus that you can get to the Peak District within 30 minutes by bus.

Good nights out but not that much to do in the day, shopping is good but quite spaced out around the city

There is a good variety of places to eat in the city centre and a range of ars/clubs to cater for all. City is friendly; however, student halls is very far from the university and city centre.

Nice clean city where everything you need is a close distance away, including the uni. Has an amazing number of clubs and bars close by as trams and buses for reaching places further afield like the Peaks and Meadow Hall!

Sheffield is a great city that offers lots of of things to do. In the centre its self there is the peace and winter garderns which have modern sculptures and water features. Within the winter gardens there is the Millennium gallery which offers fine art and a collection of cutlery and other household items made from metal that represent Sheffield stainless steel industry. In the centre there are lots of shops and places to eat and drink. Just outside the city there is centertainment which hosts a range of activites including a cinema, bowling and even indoor lazor quest as well as a range of places to eat. Also just outside the city there is meadowhall a large shopping centre with 2 food outlets.
