Amazing city, its like a lil snapshot of london with its own convenient underground service and taxi’s unabling you to get anywhere at anytime. Loads of awesome clubs, and amazing for vegans, I find it amazing to eat! Love this city and would want to live here in the future.

I am currently a student at UWS Paisley campus in Scotland. Paisley is a big town, with plenty of restaurants, pubs, shops and two nightclubs. However, it’s really just a party town at the weekend! Glasgow is only a 10 minute train trip away, which is very handy. The location of the university is perfect because the cost of living is quite cheap in such a quiet town yet the city is quick and easy to access. Glasgow is a fun, vibrant, student-friendly city with plenty of activities to choose from. If you prefer partying or eating out you will have plenty of choice, with drinks and meals being relatively cheap in certain bars! Or if you prefer a scenic day out, the city has plenty of parks and museums to explore.

The location of Strathclyde university is extremely close to the centre of Glasgow. It is located just next to merchant city which is full of lovely restaurants and cafes.

Average value for money as located in large city, variety is abundant in terms of food and things to do. Night life is incredibly good with many places to choose from which caters to all tastes. Located next to argyle and Buchanan street, there are also many shops to choose from

Very central and easily accessed from all main rail and bus stations. Large campus with many food outlets and plenty places near for lunch. Close to private halls and the college halls too.

IN GLASGOW WE HAVE PLENTY OF NIGHTLIFE, places to go for food and shopping! One of my favourite clubs is the swav sav as it’s knowing. We have the st enochs shopping centre which has loads of shops including jd, new look and top shop. Food places include McDonald’s, KFC and the noodle bar so their is a wide range of places for everyone to choose from! Glasgow centre has something for everyone’s budget!

Glasgow's great, it's a city with so much to do, and so much hidden away if you know where to look, the subway makes getting around easy, and there's a massive range of bars and clubs, even if most of the clubs are functionally somewhat similar, and eventually you'll find yourself frequenting just a couple if that's your thing. Shops range from the big supermarkets you'll need as a student, to a frankly insane amount of small, quirky stores selling things that'll make great gifts or just fun decorations. There's restaurants and fast food places basically everywhere, and you'll likely be able to get anything you're looking for, though prices can be a tad high, but that comes with a big city. In terms of entertainment, I've never really had a lack of options, but sometimes a lack of any that actually appeal to me. Overall, an amazing place, 100% recommended

Glasgow is such an amazing town, couldnt’t think of a better place to stay! The people are all so friendly here and as things happen that could only ever happen in Glasgow The nights out are always good. Although it can be mega busy, you’re always guaranteed a class night! The clubs Bamboo and Garage are my 2nd homes, could never go anywhere else (also, £1.50 drinks on a Wednesday at Bamboo - no brainier!!) I prefer the shopping on Buchanan Street to that of Princes Street in Edinburgh. There’s so much more choice and it’s so nice looking down the hill at the top of Buchanan Street onto the rest of Glasgow’s busy town. You also have the options of Silverburn and Braehead which are also really good places to go! Fooooood - amazing in Glasgow. So much choice and could have a different cuisine everything! Also, so many cocktail, gin and vodka bars for a busier, classy night with the gals (or guys!)

Great location, good if you're not living in city centre ad the bus station is right next to it. Surrounded by numerous things to do at night time and nice places to eat out. Close to many food shops but also has numerous food choices on campus

University of Glasgow is in the heart of the west end of the city, a place filled with students. As a result, there is a vast number of pubs and bars, Ashton Lane being a popular choice for students to visit in the evenings. Only a few clubs exist in this area of Glasgow as most are in the centre, but it’s only a 10 minute taxi/train/subway ride away so very easy to get to. For someone like me who doesn’t go out clubbing all that much, the clubs in the west end are enough. There are lots of cafes for food about the uni which my friend and I frequent often between lectures. We like to change it up every week or so by trying a new one, and considering we are both second year, we’ve not ran out yet! They are mostly along byres road and Dumbarton road, the streets where if you fancy a browse you’d be able to find all the shops of the west end too. Nothing is too spread out in the west end, so as a result everything is easy to find and get to.

Glasgow. A place for students, music lovers, & coffee drinkers; a home to wildlife, extensive shops and famous Tennants; a city full of history, aesthic buildings and stories to be told. A class night out, an incredible vibe no matter the weather and a practically free day for tourists. The slogan for the city is “People make Glasgow” and they certainly do.

Some of the best days/nights of my life, amazing nights out, good shopping options and all brilliant value for money

One of the best universities in terms of location and social life, Glasgow University sits in the heart of the West End, and is surrounded by pubs, restaurants, unions, museums, coffee shops, literally the lot... Countless uni societies make fantastic use of these and there really is no need to travel far. Not only that but due the open style campus, it does not feel as though you are "in" uni, as the city is at your feet. Library after renovation is second to none, likewise with gym!

Fabulous location for going out for dinner and drinks and of course clubbing. Glasgow overall is a good night out.

Very central:) everything is great apart from bad weather. Nightlife is a bit wild but if obv depends on the person. Cost of living is much more reasonable than in most places.

It is very important to think about where your uni is in relation to the city/town and all the amenities available. The university of Glasgow is perfect as its in the Westend, with so many places to eat and drink, and really cheap nights too! its also 5 minutes subway/train/bus from the main city centre.

Glasgow is a great city; locals are friendly, everything is accessable (certainly by foot, if you are in a central location or via train and subway) - Driving is a bit of a mare, but again - most cities are. public transport is your god!

Great place to live during uni - unidays, student beans cover a great range of places to eat and shop - Zizzis and Las Iguanas are delicious. Mostly small shops for groceries, but in town there is a large Aldi, Lidl and M+S to do a fuller shop. Plenty to do include clubs like Garage and Buff club, cinemas in every direction and other things like escape rooms!

Great nightlife, Great pubs, Great places to eat. Great city for students, definitely pleased I made the decision to come here.

The university is situated in the heart of Glasgow’s west end that has everything you need from shopping to nightlife. Plenty of supermarkets and independent greengrocer for your supplies as well as many friendly and quirky bars that are a little different from the centre, as well as easy bus and subway links to all around the city. The only flaw is that it’s a bit more pricey for a night out than in the centre.

Class place, good football, good pubs, good rivers, good people, and also fun. Love the local wildlife too, however at times the rain is annoying lol. Not far from the bonnie banks as well.

Great selection of shops, restaurants, clubs and things to do! Good value for money too! Glasgow is the place to be!

Great city, lots of vintage and high street places to shop. Has a range of affordable and expensive shops including make-up places. Fantastic, good, cheap places to eat for students and more sophisticated places too.
