Good transport links, lots of food places and the best nightlife. Plenty of shops to do your shopping and the best part is the people in Glasgow.

There is always good nights out for students and the alcohol is pretty cheap. There is loads of shops (pretty much any high street shop you could want) and nice food places you can eat for quite cheap. Also there is trains/ the subway and buses for travelling so it is pretty easy to get to places.

Right in the centre of Glasgow, so great for what ever you want! Nights out to discounts for picking up your pizza (and the walk back up the hill so you dont need the gym)

Location wise I'm super pleased. Everything we need it within a few minutes walk so nothing is too difficult

I love Glasgow for a great number of reasons. It is an incredible city full of incredible people. The nightlife is messy, and amazing for it. The food is disgusting in the best ways. Nothing is outrageously expensive including cost of living. And it's ease of access for just about everywhere.

The people here are 'pure heavy belters'. The atmosphere is what brings me back every 6 months. The hotel room price varys from low end to high as you would expect.

Glasgow is a great city filled with great people. The weather can leave something to be desired however the various small and independent pubs and bakeries along with restaurants makes up for this. The student life in the city is great with various educational establishments based in the city. There are various nigh clubs and bars which provide a great night out at cheap prices but if you want to go up makert there is opportunity for this. There are various parks with the west end offering Kelvingrove Park with amazing views of Glasgow University itself. Along with this walks along the kelvin provide a great day out. There are some places which could do with a lick of paint. For instance some areas have a bit too much litter about.

Bustling night life easily an cheap/ good night out everyday of the week. Nice chilled pubs serving food in town centre close to Strathclyde university. Loads to do around Glasgow to having a car is handy but decent public transport, to places like breahead for skiing and shopping or many trampoline parks in and around Glasgow. Great fun and friendly city.

Varied nightlife options that cater to most different music tastes. Lots of and cheap gigs and shows. Food options are huge and varied with good value for money considering Glasgow is a major city. Rent prices seem to have increased in the last few years, however in comparison to other major cities rent seems fair. Major shopping city with huge selection of main street shops as well as various indoor shopping centres.

West end is a very beautiful place, university grounds and kelvingrove art gallery are must visits! City centre has decent shops with plenty of places to eat - specifically Sauchiehall street and great nightlife.

I'm born and raised in Glasgow and I love it here. There are so many things to do! All the best known restraints and shops are in the city centre, as well as plenty of pubs and clubs! You don't need a lot of money to find a great bargain in the town.

It rains a fair bit but the patter is class like, imagine being someone who couldn’t fully understand how to make jokes or speak properly being thrown into a joke factory, what’s pulled out the other end is Glaswegian patter, honestly class. But aye Dundee’s no bad

Great town, nights out and people! Me being an international student I love this place! I think that Glasgow is amazing not only throughout the day but throughout the night as well. Taxis are cheap and good as well as the public transport, absolutely amazing.

Glasgow is great. University is located in the perfect area of glasgow for shopping, eating and drinking. Also, sport and fitness activities are close by. Subway is located ideally for the university and city centre.

There are 100s of events happening across the city every week so you are never short of options, no matter what your interest is. Plus there are multiple different transport systems that you can take so that you can appreciate the whole wonderful city.

Glasgow is a fantastic city to live in as a student; you’re never short of ideas of where to go to whether it’s for a nice meal, a night on the town, or to do a bit of shopping. There’s a diverse range of shops and bars so there’s a little something for everyone in Glasgow

What's good about Glasgow? There's a huge variety of clubs and pubs, live music events and art exhibitions, and where shopping is concerned it's the best city in Scotland. The quality of education is extraordinarily high too, with many influential researchers residing here, and one look at the myriad of Glasgow uni '#hogwarts' pictures on Instagram will give you a glimpse of what our beautiful, historical city has to offer. Here we don't like to pretend we're something we're not, so 'style over substance' isn't really done; there is plenty of substance to go round ;). Above all else, the city's slogan runs true: People Make Glasgow. We're a mixed bunch, but we're notoriously friendly and accepting. We don't care who you are, where you're from, what you look like, or who you're in love with - what matters is that you're a decent human being, and we'll be quick to welcome you as one of our own.
