Great course with helpful staff. The union and facilities on campus are very good - though a little expensive for food. The library is great and always open when needed.

The campus is a really nice place. Glasgow is also a really nice city. The facilities are amazing especially for science and fitness, a lot of the buildings are new and there’s a new gym being built and is ready in the summer of 2018. There is constant emails about the careers service and the union is always a good place to be and for something to do

The campus is large with a variety of old and new buildings each with there own charms and characteristics. Strathclyde has a cool union building that had its own barber shop and merchandise shop as well as taco mazama. They recently included a cafe which has a lot of plug sockets so students can charge their laptops or phones while working and having a cup of tea or coffee.

It's easy to get around the campus. State of the art facilities. The student union is situated in quite a big building and is full of opportunities. My overall experience of my course is positive and full of useful learning.

Campus uni so everything is so close together, and close to the centre. Excellent facilities and great student support. Really enjoying my time here

Strathclyde is a great university, it’s always busy with plenty events going on and things to do to get all the students involved. My course is great and I have enjoyed being a student

The campus is just 10 mins walk from city centre. It is so convenient for me to go to school and do some shopping in the city centre.

Great lecturers, smallish campus (easy to get from 1 lecture to another), right in the center of town

The union has a wide variety of spaces that can fit the needs of everyone. The campus overall is good but it is annoying moving from one building to a next when one is at the bottom of a hill and the other is up the top making you a little late for your lecture. The campus could do with more vending machines in the buildings as sometimes you need to walk further for a drink or a snack when there could be a vending machine that takes two seconds to access

Great support for working class students, with both financial and emotional support in place for worst case scenarios. Staff are all incredibly genuine and ready to help, there is a maths drop in for all degrees to use. Student union is incredible.

Good facilities, some bad lecture halls, most often organised. Sometimes classes can be stressful as teaching staff are not organised/competent enough to teach and deliver the subject very well to its students.

The university of Strathclyde for me has its positive and negative points, however in the end I think that the positives outweigh the negatives and it is one of the best universities that I am honoured to attend. First of all I will talk about a few negative things about Strathclyde University. No doubt, as everyone knows, although it is situated in the middle of town which is useful if you need to get anything, it has been built on the slope of a really steep hill. It may sound daft that this is a negative but there are times during the year, for example when it snows or rains heavy, that getting up that hill can be a great challenge and often has a major risk of falling and hurting yourself. Another negative is the quality of some building and their classrooms. Even though it is considered as one of the best schools in the UK, or at least in Scotland, the standard of some of the classrooms is quite poor, for example the windows are too thick and you sit through a class freezing cold, or you hear a constant loud noise of buses, motorbikes, or workers building things throughout a lesson which can be very distracting when you're trying to focus. On the other hand, I believe their are a lot more positives than negatives. For me it's the people that make Strathclyde University so great. I study French and Spanish and the relationships you are able to build with these teachers are amazing. They teach you to such a high standard yet you still like them and can get along with them. They are so supportive and are willing to help you with things uni related and not uni related. The students are also great people who are so easy to get along with, there's barely any divides during classes and everyone's is able to work with everyone which is a really great value to have. In addition to this, the resources available for me as a language student are amazing, there are so many books and movies available for me to watch in order to improve my speaking abilities and also there are many books available on the history and culture of these countries which is a massive help when writing essays for the culture side of my course. For me this is my opinion on my university and the reasons why all in all its a great university to attend.

Staff are very enthusiastic and helpful. Library has great resources. Located on a a steep hill whkch is a bit of a disadvantage. The union is great and very helpful when it comes to getting the voice of students across. Some of the lecture halls are run down but most are suitable.

Very good education, but very bad campus and buildings. 2 very old buildings closed due to asbestos. However maths and stats department are pretty good

University of Strathclyde is ideal in order to empower your knowledge. Their courses are very practical, and give you the chance to work in placements and years abroad. The careers services of the university is one of the best, helping students throughout all year around to enhance their employability.

The campus is definitely not the nicest looking in Glasgow but the buildings are always kept really clean and nice, same goes for the surrounding area. The student union is a really cool building, I like that there's something for everyone on every floor. I love my course (history) but I feel like they try to squeeze in too much - World War Two was done in one quick lecture so I didn't learn much in detail about anything. Overall though, the lectures and tutorials are all really interesting.

Lecturers who are passionate about their subjects and who are there to offer support and help. Beautiful campus, easy to access. Friendly start all around. Societies and Clubs have good facilities and support. The university cares about its student’s health, physically and mentally

Great overall experience in my four years; staff have been brilliant and helpful, interesting subjects offered and a great atmosphere amongst students and staff. However, some buildings could be upgraded, organisation amongst faculties could be improved and library opening hours could be extended throughout the semester to cover assignments and dissertations.

Strathclyde is an amazing University with an amazing location in the city centre of the amazing city of Glasgow. The buildings have been renovated for certain departments and the history in some of the others makes the university feel first class. The nightlife and Union is one of the best in Scotland with some amazing nights out to be had.

Strathclyde is a great university with an excellent engineering division. I study electronic and electric engineering and have only had one poor module in my two year, would definitely recommend!

I enjoy this uni very much, course I’m doing is civil engineering and is something I’ve always wanted to do. Good social life and there’s always plenty on in the union. In a very good location as well in the centre of Glasgow, easy to access and get to at all times.
