Best university, lovely city everything is very close to the college. Very confinient to walk / cycle anywhere. Tough lectures, taught by really experienced lecturers, definitely rewarding. There are lots of societies and sports to join, and most are very well funded either by college or sponsors. So you can expect really good events and socials.

Very much enjoyed my experience. You get a lot of contact hours and top quality facilities. You're expected to work a lot, but at the same time there is a lot of opportunity to do exciting extracurricular activities. Although the student union is essentially none existant, the college system gives you all the teaching and life advice one would need.

Tutors are brilliant, parties even better, always wanted to come here and it's really a dream come true. Would recommend Cambridge to anyone local or otherwise.

The work load is extreme. But people are great: very social and friendly. Night life isn't great but can be good sometimes. Plenty of things going on, sadly there isnt the time to do much due to the workload. Cambridge is a beautiful city and is very easy to navigate, overall great city for students.

You stays with your college, and whichever college you end up with dictates your location for the three years you are here. If you get a town college, then you are in luck because everything will be pretty accessible. Otherwise, you'll end up in a place where Nightlife and food is at least 20 minutes walk away. At studies facilities vary with colleges and faculty. Some has 24 hours library, others close on weekends. The economics faculty has bad facilities. The lecture rooms are too packed and has a musky odour to it. The audio system also has problems too often.

The University provides everything you need, from tutoring support to academic facilities. My course is challenging and makes me want to do always my best. I can recommend to anyone.

Specifically for Downing college, the accomodation is amazing and spacious, including a great ensuite. The food provided through the catered service is also a reasonable price, and very good quality. I am loving my course and all of the lectures, and think that the supervisions are extremely helpful in consolidating my knowledge.

So far loving my university experience, the facilities are great with large lecture halls and spacious labs that we can do our practicals in. The lecturers have been great and the supervisions very useful in consolidating my knowledge.

The most beautiful campus in the world to be sure, and most of the teaching is great. The lecturers are amazing, however the supervision system would function better if the supervisors had some guidelines to follow, because as it is, it is completely up to them how they want to do the supervisions (what to talk about, what to teach us (clearly subjective in some cases)). My course is Human, Social and Political Sciences where the different papers papers go really well together. Cambridge is hard and don't respect students' well-being and mental stability enough. If the terms were longer, students might be able to keep up with all the work and still 'have a life', but as it is now, it is quite difficult to say the least. However, in the end, the experience is all worth it.
