The university has the reputation of one of the best in the world for a good reason. The rigor of the course is second to none and it is of course extremely challenging but the teaching system makes keeping up with the workload possible. The supervision system (one-to-two/three group teaching) means you can acquire a deep level of understanding and excel at your course.

Overall the university is really good and the lectures know their subjects really well. Some are not as good as others but that to be expected. Can be large variation in the supervisors with some being great and some very much not.

Plenty of study space and expertise at my fingertips here, but the cost of living (rent, food, etc) is extortionate. Also, the workload is very high, but that's to be expected.

Cambridge as a place offers so many unique experiences and the chance to take part in many things i feel i would not have done otherwise. It is very hard work but you feel like you are really getting value for money. However the college system has flaws and the accomodation can be unsociable. The wealth of the different colleges means that student funding can be unfairly distributed.

The work is very challenging because we have not only have lectures (like every other uni) but we also have Supervisions and work to do for these supos. Overall social life is better than expected. Lots of fun! Loads of sport clubs and societies to get involved in. Love the college set up.

The campus is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The facilities are top quality, although some of the food is a bit expensive. I barely notice the student union's existence but there is so much else to get involved with that it doesn't matter. So far I haven't used the career services but there is a wide variety of talks and events on offer all the time.

I am studying (biological) natural sciences. The course, although interesting, is extremely intense with very long contact hours including supervisions, labs and lectures. However, it is very flexible in that there are a lot of module choices so you can do a mixture of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics to gain a breadth as well as depth of knowledge. This is perfect for students who are not ready to commit to a specific subject yet. There are also exciting modules such as Earth sciences and Material sciences available.

The college environment is fantastic and forms an excellent support structure to form friendships and to maintain emotional support of students.

Very different experience from other universities. Your college will be somewhat your home away from home where you get your meals together with your friends in the dining hall and attend themed parties. Workload is pretty heavy. Have to keep the balance between work and fun or you'll feel left behind. Overall, a very fun experience

Incredible experience, so much pastoral support, and so many opportunities. Organisation of my course is not so good, as compared to other courses i often feel I am having to work more independently.

I’ve had a great time so far in my 2 years. Very high quality teaching and a really friendly environment in my college with plenty of support available if you need it.

I go to Emmanuel college and the halls are amazing, good prices for the facilities you get with it (Inc free laundry service once a week). Modern and Medieval languages is a great and diverse course and allows you to study what actually interests you. Emmanuel's professors are understanding and look to help you along the way as much as possible. The porters and staff are friendly ( as is everyone in the college).

The second oldest university of England has one of the best campuses. The buildings are spread out, and there are no 'boundary' of the university. The distinctive supervision system gives you the opportunity to meet and discuss with academics regularly. The quality of lectures are mostly superb, but there can be subjects which you can find slightly boring.

A beautiful, old city, the university being established in 1209 gives the whole place a truly historic feeling. Tonnes of facilities from sport centres to concert halls to soon to be ice rinks. My course (mathematics) is notoriously difficult, however it's rewarding. Careers service allow you to feel like no profession is too obscure.

Super supportive, and genuinely want you to succeed. Cambridge have backed me through many hard times, and have always made me feel welcome at the university, even when I myself didn’t feel I belonged. Facilities are modern and well equipped, and teaching is of a superb quality.

Amazing university. Has a huge amount of history which is felt just walking around the buildings and the place. Really good teaching from experts around the world and small one on one or two on one teaching meaning that you really get your value for money.

Pretty good everyone is on that Charlie warlie wave, let's get pumped is the MOTTO. Eventful ness is everything you could want in a university

I think I've received an incredible education for the money I've paid. It is really hard work (i.e. 7 days a week for 8 weeks straight), but the mentorship I have received on a one-to-one basis has been amazing. While the pastoral support system is seriously flawed, I'm graduating as a confident and competent student with a great circle of friends.

Beautiful campus, traditional buildings, the entire city is worth exploring. Courses are mainly flexible, teaching great, albeit could do with more contact hours

Mixed experience. Masters level degree very didactic and not centred on principles of interactive adult learning. Long days. Enjoyed warm college atmosphere. Hard to link to range of student groups if missed freshers fayre. Excellent counselling services

The university is great, very support faculty. The staff mostly support students and I have always felt they are passionate about their jobs. As daunting as uni is, there a help there
