Kingston University is based in Surrey, this is just outside of London in zone 6. It’s in a great location near to a shopping centre, gym, cinema, parks and pubs. The area is very clean with frequent running trains and buses. The university has many societies to join, this makes the spare time you do have during your spare time producion as well as a great opportunity to makes friends.

Hi I’m first year media & communication student. I think that Kingston University is great, very good location (close to London), it helps a lot with self debelopment and findinf job experiences and apprenticeship (wherever I say I study in Kingston, Everyone knows it because of mamy students working all around London), nice facilities, would recommend it especially for art students. Only reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because for me the university doesnt Help a lot with finances, there are No good sponsorships or for International students

The university education system leaves a lot to be desired, however due to the high level of entrepreneurship at this university the students are forced to do things their own way often with little guidance

I found Kingston to be a good university especially in terms of the resources available when I was a masters student. Now As a PhD student however it would be nice to have more resources available across different departments such as free printing, and our own desks. One thing I have found very positive is the wealth of opportunities Kingston offers for experience and paid work, this has been particularly prominent throughout my PhD and has been very useful to help build up my CV and has taught me a lot.

I’m studying adult nursing at Kingston hill campus. I believe it’s one of the best campuses out of the other Kingston campuses. It has a lot of facilities such as prayer rooms, hangout spots including great shops I.e Starbucks and subway. The library is three floor which caters for all.

The campus is very well structured. It is close to town centre. It has a corner store with all the basic necessities and snacks and meals. It has a courtyard. Lots of facilities for those with ear problems and those who can't walk. I am studying Bsc Financial Economics. It is a really interesting course learning where trade started, how economic thoughts have an impact of the economy. The student union is very big. Has a reception where two receptionists always welcome you with a smile. It has a pool table and lots of tables for students to come and enjoy.

The campus itself is fantastic overall. The practicality of the building, the naming system for the buildings on campus, the availability of space for studying everywhere and the general location are amazing. My course, Biochemistry, is taught very well and has a great variety of learning paths, such as practicals, lectures, workshops and tutorials to help us gain knowledge in more than one way. Penrhyn Road’s student uninion is not that great, as our new one is under construction, but we have two pool tables and a fusball table. The SU tends to close early, at about 5:30/6pm and we pay £1 per pool game, which is unnecessarily expensive, given that most centrally locates universities provide plays free of charge. Albeit the university itself is fantastic, you can not deny that there is an omnipresent and passive-aggressive segregation amongst the students - groups of an ethnic background or of similar religion do not integrate well with other students. It can be difficult for those who aren’t good at making friends to find some, if they don’t fit in with a community - but fresher’s fair and the availability of societies can aid to combat that issue.

The university campus is conveniently located close to the Kingston town centre, there is fantastic transport links through bus, train and car. The car park is great with plenty of spaces. The library is open 24 hours a day. My course Real Estate management is a really good course as the modules are very interesting and relate to real life. The lecturers are very helpful with assisting students with any queries regarding the coursework and examinations. The student union on the Kingston hill campus is not so great, the building is very outdated and the interior design is horrible.

The campus is amazing and fascilitates learning and experimentation. I feel so at home and all the staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and understanding. The workshops are amazing for playing with different materials with the exception of glass, and although they’re palced in different parts of the building, they are very accessible. The studio space for art students is great and collaborative, and critiques yield great ideas. I feel very encouraged to try everything and to work at my own pace, not to stress out. There is always support available on campus. The food is amazing, that’s one thing I keep pointint out as well - its varied and has options for most dietary requirements. Careers help is relatively good, there is a portal with opportunities available for students and the staff also share relevant openings with us personally. The organisation and structure of the course is great, and guidance is provided along the way in a sufficient manner, in my opinion.

Kingston University is an extremely multi-cultural university and was very accepting not just from the tutors but the students of people from all backgrounds. My time here at the university was the best time I’ve ever had in my entire life and although they have since knocked down the campus bar “space bar” and sucked half the life out of the campus, knights park bar has firmly retained the atmosphere of the fun culture at KU.

The campus at Kingston University has a comfortable while professional vibe. The facilities are great. My course is pretty dense with various encompassing modules. Although this proves to be difficult, the lecturers provide excellent notes and reading material and any additional assistance if anything is unclear. I’m truly looking forward to begin my thesis and hoping for a publication at the end. The student Union is very active and equally caters to everyone. The career services department is active and genuinely interested in preparing you for the world of work whether it’s assistance with CVs or interview preparation. My experience thus far has been pleasant and enjoyable and I hope this continues !

GREAT lecturers, Beautiful grounds, Kingston hill is the best campus and has parking, but the uni can be quite unorganised and sometimes incredibly unorganised but offer great work opportunities

Fantastic lecturers who really go above and beyond. A university that pays students well if you work there and teams that encourage you to succeed. Sure, Penryhn is an ugly campus, but inside it’s fine! Wish we’d had our own pool for the swim team, though

Excellent university with a high diversity of students coming from all over the world. Professors and lecturers are highly knowledgeable. Kingston university has an excellent structure, great staff and a very good place to study and research. All emails are responded to on time, lecturers make the effort to discuss things with you and they listen to you which is fundamental. Kingston university is among the best and most challenging universities in the UK. The location of the university is a very safe and secure area, the campuses are good and learning environment. Diverse and multicultural. I has the best three years of my life and would consider the university for postgraduate studies.

Campus is great but they got rid of the uni bar which was cheap and a good night out. Lecturers are fantastic , really hands on. Nights out in Kingston are really good too.

Studying graphic design, love the variety of projects we do, but I would like them to be more focused on graphic design. The facilities for art and design students are great, 3d workshop, print making, binding, riso, IMAC’s in the library

I am currently studying a masters of architecture at Kingston, I think the staff and names we have attend are so knowledgable and really do produce a good foundation of work for the uni. The staff members we do have are all full time practise running and therefore provide a great insight into practise life in architecture.

So glad I made the move to fine here. It was the best thing I ever did. I've made so many friends and living away from home has made me.

Business & Law campus is refreshing, away from the hustle and bustle and the 24 hr library is always available for use. Food options are scarce on this campus and need to be upgraded. A quiet, quaint campus that you can get all your work done at.

I study fashion design, the course is fantastic, the tutors are great and well connected, they provide a lot of support and are there for you when you need their help for personal issues. The art department has great facilities, everything we need.
