Before leaving school, I was in the debate as to whether or not was the right university for me. I was also in debate about whether my course (law and criminology) was right for me. My experience, over the past two years has confirmed to me that I made the right decision. Lecturers/professors/tutors are easy to talk to and easy to ask questions. They are also very supportive and understanding. The facilities are great -basic and in some areas dated, but that's the great thing about Cardiff. Besides, who doesn't want to bump into Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who from time to time?

Main building is amazing and the libraries inside it are great, some of the older libraries like the ASS need to be refurbished. The SU is very old but is in the process of being remodeled. Depends on the course you do, some courses are very organised, other's not so much.

Amazing university. The spread our campus in the centre of the city is an ideal location for living and studying at university. I’ve had good experiences with all of my lecturers and modules.

Best university ever, city is busy and has lots going on without feeling crowded, lecturers and staff go out of their way to support you and I'm honestly having the best time

The university isn’t very welcoming to students from all over the world and provides good facilities to people from different religions and backgrounds e.g provide English classes for people not native to the language. The tutors are very good with feedback and providing extra help.

The campus is a very friendly place with many supportive and intelligent students. The facilities are usually very hygienic, and my overall experience at the university has been quite good.

Excellent uni is the only thing that would have to go back and I don't think that I have a great way for a few years back on my way home from work to be the first half year and I don't think that I have a great way

Overall, a great university. Spin a healthcare course means I miss out on certain elements of university's facilities/life as my campus is hospital based, but that's about it.

Student union is fantastic; cheap drinks, plenty of events and takes on all student feedback. Facilities are very good, 24/7 library access with up to date tech and book resources. Courses are engaging and respond to all feedback.

The campus is a brilliant campus, everything is within walking distance but also isn’t too cramped, and is intermingled with other parts of city life

Great place, lots to do and to see. Some of the halls are too far out of the city so therefore isolated the students slightly. However great students union and great city

The university is situated in one of the best student cities in the country. With the main body of the campus stretching along one road between the accommodation and the city centre. Nothing is Cardiff is too far to walk, which is great. The facilities at the university are always improving with millions being pumped into a centre for student life. Sadly the support of the physics department is detriment to student life. We are the bottom of the priority sometimes and do not get the support we are paying for

This university is a great place to study which offers very talented lecturers in the engineering sector and this is the section I’m studying at. Cardiff university has many facilities available to the students including a students union which is a good meeting place for new people and it has lots of social entertainment. The course I am studying is electrical and electronic engineering and this is a great course which I would recommend to others because the modules and the content is very well delivered and it is exciting to work in the laboratories to produce circuits of different kinds and see what it’s capabilities are.

Good teaching, great facilities, the SU is mad big. Biosci seems taught well, no complaints about the lecturers tbh. The city itself is grand too

Unbelievable atmosphere within Cardiff university, greatly appreciate the staff and the buildings are amazing, the placement of the buildings are well thought out and the student union stands above many other universities around the uk.

Amazing University. The fact that it is in a city with so much going in is brilliant and the fact that it's not a massive city either means it's very hard to fee overwhelmed. The night life is brilliant with club student nights daily. The SU has so much to offer with food, advice and of course the nightclub. My course is quite tough, but the teaching is excellent and the resources in the libraries and elsewhere are the best available. Biggest downside is the halls. There are many nice ones, it's just mine which is not the best.

The campus buildings might be quite old but the uni has so many good facilities like the students union and lots of study space

Cardiff University have been very swift at dealing with my late entry enquiry and then the course has been interesting. There are also plenty facilities around Cardiff and the engineering buildings are located very close to the town centre which is great for lunch breaks. All in all a pleasant experience so far.

Better than Swansea, what more do you need? Mixture of gorgeous old architechture and new buildings, libraries and online services make accessing materials easy, and the social life is great - there's always something going on.
