Great city to live in, student halls and housing close to campus and city centre. Lots of great places to eat and drink. Good transport links with busses, trams and a short walk to the station.

I choose my university because of the location, it has a very easy transport system both in the city and the suburbs. Nottingham is in the middle of the country, so it is veey easy to go north, west, south and east. The weather is not too cold and not too hot too.

Nottingham’s location is perfect for me, im from the West Midlands so its not to far but far enough. It’s a big city with everything you could ever need a bus or tram away. It’s very student budget friendly with all the restaurants and things to do offering some sort of student deal!

Theres plenty to do in Nottingham, never a dull moment. There are countless shops, a few great sites, and theres always something going on in the main square. The night life is incredible and most places offer decent prices.

The Victoria shopping centre in Nottingham is one of the best shopping centres I have been to. They have a good variety of shops such as JD sports, house of fraser, new look and etc.

Nottingham has a good mixture of activities for all types of students including night outs, cinemas and fitness. There’s a fantastic range of food on offers especially in the lace market and transport is great to get from A to Z in no time.

The university is right in the town centre. So if you have an hour to pass during uni then your not shorr of options. Various food places and, majority do student discounts

Nottingham contains everything you could wish for! It has a wide variety of social opportunities (cinema, days out, restaurants, etc) and every shop you could think of. The transport is brilliant, everything and anything is a bus/tram away (if not walking distance). The two universities sharing the city have healthy competition, so the student life is brilliant. I would highly recommend studying, living or working in Nottingham; it's definitely a home away from home!

Nottingham has a lot going for it- a pretty impressive range of night life, bars, places to eat out, fun things like Planet Bounce or Climbing walls, big parks, and quite a pretty place as well!

The city is a great place to go to university because it is small enough that you know a lot of people in the area but not to small that it doesn't have enough places to go out. The bars and pub selection is incredible and has something for everyone but also has loads of other things that you can do here. Travel links are class and it is difficult to fault!

Nottingham is the perfect student location. From nights out, to everyday activities, Nottingham is the place to be. It’s in the midlands meaning that for most people it’s only a couple of hours away from home, which is perfect for homesick students. The main clubs offer a variety of music themes and are reasonably priced. There are plenty of hidden cocktails bar meaning that there can always be an element of fun added to your night out. It has an intu shopping centre, so all your clothing and makeup desires can be fulfilled.

Great city has everything you could want in terms of shops, resturants, clubs, and bars. The public transport is easy to is easy to use with reasonable student prices, so fast and simple to get into the city from the uni campus. They is genrally a good atmosphere in the sity centre with various markets and evebts through out the year, and the street and clean and attractive.

I live in Kegworth which is about a 30 min walk away from campus. There used to be a hopper bus that went from Kegworth to Sutton Bonington and then into town. It is redicuous how the Uni promised the bus to return, and it was the reason why me and my friends chose to live in Kegworth. Now I have to walk (there have been numerous assaults reported by students on that walk) or ride my bike (where the road has numerous potholes and is very poorly lit) or ask for a lift. It’s just unfair how the money from the University of Nottingham doesn’t seem to reach the Sutton Bonington at all. Everyone who lives in Kegworth wants the bus to return. In Kegworth and Sutton Bonington there isn’t any good shops to buy food either, there is s COOP and a campus shop that are both SO EXPENSIVE.

A small city but packed full of things to do. Boasting great nightlife and excellent restaurants, all for affordable, student-friendly prices.

Nottingham is a great city that’s full of things to do - from sports games, to shopping, to walks in parks, to museums, to art galleries, to the castle, and even to underground caves! It’s also got more restaurants and cafes than you could ever hope for, so you’re never short on something to eat! The public transport is also one of the best in the UK, with reliable buses and trams that give you access to the whole city. I absolutely love living here!

Nottingham is a very student orientated city, with great night life, amazing restaurants and a good intu shopping centre! It is very friendly and provides students with a welcoming feel.

Lots of independent shops and cafes and restaurants as well as all the normal chain places. Great student transport and links to campuses, station and everywhere in town. Nights out are great for students and lots of drinking deals

Nottingham is a city with lots of bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, take-aways and big variety of shops. It is a very good student city. The architecture in the city centre is beautiful. The only thing bad about Nottingham is there aren't many pop-up events and art exhibitions. And when there are events like the Christmas market they're quite small. There is a beautiful arboretum and a large field: 'the recreation ground' for a great outdoor space to play football or Frisbee on sunny days.

The nightlife is great with lots of different options depending on what you like however tickets are expensive compared to other cities. Taxis can be expensive and inconsistent sometimes.

The City Campus is brilliantly located with all the best of what Nottingham has to offer right on your doorstep. Clifton Campus is rather awkward to get to from anywhere but the City Campus. The bus which actually goes into the Campus grounds does not accept student fares unlike buses going anywhere near University of Nottingham. Many of the facilities at Clifton are also only available for a limited time - unlike those in the City. Brakenhurst is located in the middle of nowhere with poor visibility and no path to safely get on Campus- especially difficult in dark and slippery winter months.

Great city, best pubs and gig venues. Rock city is AMAZING (except Wednesdays and Fridays) Would recommend
