Shopping is good, Lincoln city gets busy on weekends but there are lots of nice places to eat including cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Fun, busy, friendly and pretty. Lincoln is full of history and is an aesthetically pleasing town. If you can master steep hill, there are lots of independent shops and restaurants to explore.

A little small for nights out, but something good is on at least once a week, venues could be close together. Good for shopping and great value for money, very affordable place to live. Lovely culture and scenery in a rural location

Uni close to city centre with lots of shops and restaurant's. Great tourist attractions eg cathedral and castle. Well maintained pretty town. Odeon cinema etc for entertainment.

Pretty good, beautiful city, good nights out and a lot of brand and independent shops available. Other stuff could be better

I chose Lincoln University for the most part based on location. The city is small but full of character, it is a beautiful place to live and all student accommodation is in the heart of the city. Nothing is more than a 10 minute walk from both student halls and houses. These being supermarkets, the cathedral, university, etc. Everything is so close it is great! I always feel safe, especially on nights out as all of the clubs and venues are close by. I have never had to spend a penny of transport other than the occasional train ride back home. Taxis are not needed and most definitely you do not need a car!

Yaaaaaass. Such a good place to live. Why would you want to be anywhere else? You wouldn’t. Exactly.

Excellent location! Everything is close. You have a food court on the brayford center with a wide range of choice. Due to lincoln being small, town is very close to this Brayford Pool front, and so are student accommodations. They are all within walking distance to each other

Lincoln is great, your accommodations are very close to the uni and you are only a small walk away from shops, clubs, bars, restaurants, cinema and the transportation hub.

Great city! Big shopping centre where you can find everything you need, lots of student-friendly places to eat and, of course, brilliant nights out!"

Lincoln is such a lovely city. Very historic as well as bery modern. Best place for clothes cheap - primark clearly student needs much. I love all the shops and the cathedral and castle are just so amazing. Makes a nice romantic walk with a loved one.

Super cheap place to live but really nice too. Nothing is far from anywhere so you can walk everywhere. More of a town than a city in terms of size.

Really lovely little city that's not overwhelming if you're from the country side. Gorgeous views in the cathedral quarter and very student friendly

Love it, the town is great and the historical bit is beautiful

One of the main things that drew me to this university is that everything is so close and within walking distance and I think that it is an important factor to think about when choosing a uni.

Lincoln is a great place for a student, the city is small enough to be able to get pretty much anywhere on foot, but large enough that you always have somewhere new to go. There are many clubs and bars open for students with student special events and discount, these cover many nights of the week. Also with the train station in the middle of town you can easily travel home.

Lincoln is amazing, so much culture and atmosphere. A really historic city with lots to do, and a beautiful cathedral which is a must see :) I would definitely recommend the Brayford Wharf for nightlife and the city really does have something for everyone.

The city is quite small, there's not a great deal to do but the fact that it's small makes travelling really easy. Plenty of clubs, not many pubs or bars. Pretty good value for money.
