Although a big step up from my previous town, Downham Market in Norfolk, Lincoln really does dry up after three years of uni there. The top of the hill is definitely the best bit, boasting fabulous history and quaint architecture. However, there really isn’t much else to do down the hill. Maybe I’m just salty because there is no urban outfitters

Lovely city, amazing archetecture, friendly people, nice eats and a decent night out! The walk up steep hill is well worth it! and all the shops up that way are very cute.

A small city which I love, and the campus is all together so buildings aren’t dotted around a big city. Don’t need to take public transport to get to the uni from halls of residence The town is really lovely and steep hill is really nice to go to, however can get a bit boring and the shopping is not great. Can take a big trip to Meadowhall and Nottingham which aren’t too far away. Surprisingly, nights out are really decent and there’s somewhere good to go every night

The area is peaceful. There arr however a lot of spice users on the high street but they are all harmless and there are loads of students.

Lincoln is a small city, with both nice historic parts but also run down and dirty areas. The night life is good for the size but in no way expect a city night life. However life in Lincoln is reasonably cheap with certain night £1 singles and £2 doubles !!! The Christmas market is lovely at Christmas however during the rest of the year there is very limited amount of things to do. The transport is reasonable however train tickets are fairly expensive as you have to travel to bigger stations before you can actually get to the place you want to.

Absolutely gorgeous city with a ton of touristy things to do such as steep hill and visit the castle and cathedral. In terms of nights out, it is the same old 3/4 locations as there isn’t a lot to choose from which other cities have, and they do get very repetitive in terms of music and themes. Food wise there are a ton of options ranging from on site student bars to more expensive premier restaurants, all good prices and all welcoming. Lots of chain shops too including topshop, new look, primark, marks and spencers.

Lincoln is a really pretty city, with the historic cathedral and castle up on the hill! I would definitely recommend taking a walk up steep hill with all the old buildings now being used as little coffee shops, ice cream parlours, sweet and fudge shops and pubs! It’s a lovely afternoon well spent! The bail gate is also very cute! As for the town, there is a huge variety of shops and restaurants to take your pick from, as well as bars and night clubs! All are pretty good! The Bradford waterfront is also very pretty with restaurants facing it as well as a cinema! The only thing I would say about Lincoln is that there could be more activities to do, on rainy days it can get a bit boring!

Plenty of places to go on a night out with different music styles. Lots of places to eat from relatively cheap to more expensive. Town centre not far from the university campus and plenty of shops. However one downfall is there isn't many things to do in Lincoln so may need to travel outside to Doncaster for example to go ice skating. Overall a lovely place to live as it's quite small and easy to travel around.

Lovely food places, wide variety and a lot of great places to go for drinks be it coffee or something a little stronger! So much to do sightseeing wise and as a student, the night life is great with again, a variety of places to go.

The food and customer service is very well. It's always it's best. Sometimes there is a long wait depending on certain days of the week by but I enjoy eating and shopping out. There is a wide selections of restaurants so we are able to choose. The shopping centre has almost everything customers may want or need which is a positive.

Lincoln is a great university city. Student accommodation and houses are all within walking distance of the university campus which is right next to Brayford pool, a lovely marina surrounded by restaurants and a cinema. There are plenty of nights out to choose from both at privately run nightclubs and the student union. The student union is really involved with students and has their best interests at heart.

Loads to do, drink, eat and see. It's got everything you need with the additional history to back this old town to be a top attraction in Lincolnshire.

Lincoln is an extremely pretty city, based under the view of a stunning cathedral, it has a great selection of bars, shops and restaurants and even a fairly good selection of nightclubs. The student culture is brilliant and if you are interested in sport, there is a good mix around the city, including Lincoln F.C. and Lincoln RFC.

The city of Lincoln is the perfect size for new students, and the university campus is conveniently set up so that it is almost impossible to get lost. There are a number of clubs giving the option for a varitety of good, cheap nights out. There are a number of supermarkets in the area for food shopping as well as a variety of cheap restaurants.

Everything here is conveniently placed. It's a small town with many things to do and places to go, but after a while places starts too look familiar

The night clubs in Lincoln are great, and the city is a beautiful place to go shopping. There are great restaurants which have a beautiful view of the water.

Lincoln is a small city with much charm. There is a historic city center and a bustling high street with many well known eateries. There are also many nightclubs with different vibes depending on your taste, and they are quite a bit cheaper than most places south of Lincoln. Overall Lincoln is a nice place to live and study, without too much of a wow factor.

Lincoln is a great city to be in which has the likes of the Lincoln Cathedrals and castle which aren't expensive to visit! The shopping obviously isn't as big as other cities as Lincoln is quite small but the shops around still meet everyone's needs. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, with some restaurants regularly giving out offers and discounts for food.

Good night life with night clubs like home and circle. The Brayford near the university has great restaurants and also a cinema. Small city compared to most, but good for students! Cheap too!

Nightlife is mediocre. Shops are average but close too early. Quite a bit of homelessness. Often see people on spice

There are plenty of club nights if that's what you're in to - I'm not a fan myself but I do enjoy the 60s, 80s and indie nights at student bar Red Five. I also love the record shop, Back to Mono and the antiques shop in Lincoln as I collect records. The best bit about Lincoln is the history, with the cathedral and castle as well as the IBCC.

The overall city is beautiful, the perfect size so that there is enough to do but everything is walking distance, good university, good accommodation and nice people. Only let down is that sometimes it can be unsafe but that will happen anywhere. Also it's not particularly culturally diverse but sometimes that can't be helped.

Lincoln is a lovely town to live in! Living up the hill but near by the town centre you have a lovely walk pass the cathedral and castle, then decenting down steep hill to go out the the pubs, bars or restaurants. Days out you can have a tour of the castle and cathedral for only £13 Prices of drinks are cheap and you won't spend much money on a night out!

There is plenty to do in the city of Lincoln, from shopping to food to nightlife. There are plenty of shops and majority have discount in for student which makes them super affordable to shop at. The nightlife is good and there are plenty of clubs we even bars to spend time in. Also there are lots of restaurants from Nando's to Zizzis, aswell as the Odeon on the waterfront along side many restaurants
