Cheap location for cost of living. Up and coming nightlife scene with varied places. Lots of cafes and restaurants and bars. Student friendly. Transport system within city very poor but it’s so small you can walk almost everywhere.

The location of the university is quite good, since there are 4 campus, and depend on the modules to assign the campus. And 3 out of 4 are close to Belfast, which students can do many things within this area.

Belfast is a great city. The main centre is small and easy to travel around, but there are many great places to visit on the outskirts also and it's very easy to get the train/bus to Dublin. The nightlife is great with lots of clubs and bars in the same area. Shopping is good and there are countless restaurants and cafes to enjoy.

Belfast is a great place to study for university. There is so much going on ranging from shopping to nightlife to tourist attractions. It's a really beautiful city to live in and it gets even better the more you explore and discover. It's fairly cheap in comparison to other places in the UK and Europe. The city itself is not too big nor too small, everything is within a walking distance. I really love that both queens and Ulster university is very central, either in or not too far from the city centre so you don't have to spend a lot on transport.

Belfast is great for a night out, the place that does it for me is Limelight. Transport around Belfast is not the best but everything is within walking distance.

I chose Belfast just because it was the easiest option for where I live. although I do like it well enough, the city is really lacking In entertainment as well as in the night life scene. There are some really good night clubs but they could definitely do with more. Although there is Victoria square and castle court which are both decent shopping centres. There is a serious problem in regards to transport, there are not enough trains as well as stops In my opinion and the prices are not reasonable either.

I absolutely love Belfast its easy to travel to and is at the heart of everything. Because it is in the city its a little dearer but there is always offers and deals on. Shopping is great with a 10 minute walk to castle court and victoria square, containing a cinema. The sse areana has bowling, concerts, bars and a cinema.

Studying at Ulster university has been one of the nest decisions to date. At the Jordanstown campus you're a 2 mins walk to the shore and 20min train journey to the city centre. Northern Ireland is full of culture and history and a huge tourist attraction since the filming of Game of Thrones. There's pubs with character and clubs with chic design. You'll never be bored in Belfast as there's so much to do and explore.

Good for nights out! Night life is amazing could ask for better. Plenty of nice venues for eating and Belfast is an amazing city just to explore. Loads of students do not sure of people around your age, there’s always something to do in Belfast never a quiet moment in the place, Some amazing history surrounding Belfast including the troubles and Titanic so if you’re into your history and lore Belfast can’t be beaten

Easy to get around, small enough to walk everywhere but big enough that there is loads to do. Lots of great bars and restaurants.

Food choices for international students are limited. But there are some asian supermarkets. Belfast is not too big to get around. Night life is good.

Belfast has a really friendly atmosphere, good buzzing in the streets, always lots of entertainment like buskers going on. On top of that top quality coffee, top quality food, decent shopping!

Living and studying at Queen’s University has been the best experience, but it’s not without a few surprises. Very nice city, calm, serine, beautiful. Here people are very helpful!!!

Excellent education available along with okay transport in and out of city centre. Welcoming towards LGBT community despite the lack of marriage equality.

Belfast is an amazing city. It’s super cheap to live in with fantastic night life. People are super friendly too, so it’s really pleasant. The only thing is, Ulster University has a campus in Jordanstown which is about 20 minutes from the city.

It’s not the fact that Belfast is the capital city of Northern Ireland. It’s the fact that despite its previous issues Belfast is an amazing city, diverse in culture, talent and arts. It’s amazing range of Bars, Clubs and Shopping Outlets are well sought after in the city. All of which boast amazing experiences, quality and value for money

There are a good variety of bars and clubs for nights out on the town, would recommend kremlin or limelight. There is a growing selection of different types of restaurants within the city centre. There are two large shopping centers within the city centre with a good range of shops/restaurants in both of them. For things to do there are bus tours around Belfast, a few cinemas around the place, you can take a trip to the Titanic Quarter or view the city from the top of Victoria Square.

Good nightlife, good food, not so good shopping, not so much to do during the days but all in it is good value for money. I would recommend Belfast very much to any students considering it.

Night life is good, love the food places and take aways, not a lot to do, and money wise is quite reasonable.
