Great place to be a student! not too big but has everything you need. a little expensive but weekly club nights can save you a penny
Nice Uni but very far away from everything so participating in extracurricular academia is difficult
The Old Aberdeen campus is a very good and resourceful campus with many excellent facilities from the Sports Village to the chemistry labs, all with a very high level of professionalism. However, as a stay at home student from Aberdeenshire, there is next to no parking near campus. The sports village is almost the only option, and even then they've now introduced a max three hour stay and conditions that people parking there MUST be using the facilities.
The proximity of campus makes it like a little village so easy to meet up with friends and get about uni quickly which is ideal when you need to study and get quick assistance on your university work. The view in the library is phenomenal so you get to have a lovely break overlooking nature!
There is many things to do in Aberdeen for students from dinners nights out and going to the cinema or walks there are loads of great walks in Aberdeen
Good nightlife, and shopping options. The place to be if you like craft beer! Fairly decent inner-city transport and a small city altogether
Great nightlife, good atmosphere, great shopping at Union Square. Easy intercity transport links, although could be improved. Most destinations walkable.
Great night out, lots of options. Union square has lots of options for food as well as many good indenpdant restaurants around the city. Plenty activities are available around the city.
Quite expensive for the place it is, buses are way more expensive than glasgow and edinburgh. Not a huge selection of shops or places for nights out/playing/listening to live music.
Aberdeen is such a lovely, calm, and tranquil place to be in for those people who would like to get away from the busy cities.
Aberdeen is good place for students as it has plenty of shops, restaurants, clubs and pubs. It's got beautiful parks and a stunning beach.
Great city! Very safe to walk about even at night with beautiful scenery, but also has a great nightlife if you know where to look.
The nightlife is great. There is a variety of different places that you can go. There is a bus from the student accommodation straight to the uni and town. But if you want it is a 20 minute walk through a stunning park to the uni. Shopping for food is best done online and delivered as there is only a Lidl.
Very little to do and feels dreary and dreadfully empty. A few decent clubs but will quickly wear and tire you out after a while. Supermarkets are quite dispersed about from the main streets, so can be tricky going to and from your regular places. Overall, Aberdeen needs an overhaul as the city itself is extremely depressing right now.
Aberdeen is quite small city to go around. One can easily roam around with just a bike. Food is little on the expensive side. Weather is so unpredictable. There's a beach right next. Nightlife is above average.
Living in the city centre is fab. Shops and restaurants are a stone throw away, lots of good shopping centres and restraunts
Good choices to shop, plenty places to eat out and many hotels to stay in after a night out. Can be busy at some points especially on Friday and Saturday nights
Banging I love banter boys booze uni booze banter lad sesh booze
The city is a bit dull, however the people make it great, the nightlife is good but there is a lack of good food places.
Aberdeen is perfect for students! This city has got everything you need around you and within walking distance (if you’re in the city centre). Aberdeen also has beautiful scenery like the beach and your choice of shopping centre to guarantee you find a shop for you. Every kind of cuisine you can think of is available to you with dozens of choices for each. Getting around the city also couldn’t be easier with the hundreds of bus services as well!
The location of the city is truly magnificent being on the east coast of Scotland with Beautiful beach which is incredible all year round despite the lack of swimming involved. The city itself has both modern and historical structures, displaying the process of modernisation while preserving the beauty of the past century. Life in Aberdeen is always lively, especially at night as it is mostly composed of students from all around the world.
Aberdeen is an amazing city!! The shopping is fantastic and the beach view is absolutely gorgeous but best of all everything is really student friendly!
Aberdeen has a vibrant nightlife, busy city centre, as well as many quieter parks and beach front - something for everyone!
