Great learning enviroment and fantastic teachers. Good at teaching but also top class researchers in their fields.

The student union is incredible and has so much to offer, friends at hallam are always amazed. My course, history, is so interesting and filled with such intellectually stimulating lecturers who genuinely care and go the extra mile to aid you in your studies.

The course can be unorganised and lack clear information. There are also not enough study spaces in the libraries at exam times. But the student union is great and has so much to do and loads going on.

The Uni of Sheffield markets itself as being symbiotic with the city itself. If you want a uni that doesn't live in the fairytale land of a campus then it's the best I've seen. The lectures are demanding and the facilities are fantastic. The only issues I've had are seating in study periods and some admin issues, but apart from that, the student life here is pretty good.

Excellent students union. Great for a variety of degrees. Great city to top it all off. Only downside is that the demand for foreign staff for research means that lecturers often hard to understand.

We have the best student union in the country in a wonderfully green part of Yorkshire. 10/10 would recommend

The SU at the UoS is simply the best. Every single week we are spoilt for choice. The nightlife is truly incredible and always buzzing with young students. The gym is spacious and has a pool, sauna, steam room. When I give the 5* ratings I am not overreacting- Sheffield is genuinely the best.

Great university, located in a medium size town, Sheffield. Student union is one of the best in the country therefore helps student alot. Facilities is good such as the diamond where its fully equipped and new. Career services is great as they provide free cv checking services and career activities throughout the year. Material science and engineering is good, although some of the lectures are ok lectures but overall experience is fantastic. We even won the 2 highest rank material science department in the UK 2016/2017. Lastly life here is ok for me as an international student. if you are used to asia's big city life with lost of things to do, then think twice. Its more to nightlife here, pubs and just friends hanging around in their place or a club. This is how people spend their time here basicly.

The campus might not be well designed because uni. buildings are spread across the city centre. But it has great quality for both studying and life. City itself is a very welcoming and friendly and the uni as well. Good students care system. It has great facilities to study for students who have disabilities. The university also has mental health support organisation and health care system as well.

Everything is 10/10, especially the medical school. And there are nice trees and parks. And good clubs. The students union is great

Campus is all fairly close together making it quick and easy to get to and from different locations. Public transport is great to campus centre if you travel from home or live further out. There are also greats places to eat and drink near university making it great to socialise after your day at university.

A brilliantly supportive university across all areas. The Union is consistently voted the best union in the country country for a reason. Brilliant city, brilliant university, brilliant experience

Sheffield SU is one of the most active and welcoming SU’s in the country. Particularly if you are interested in volunteering. There is a specific volunteering departement where you can get involved with the wider community within Sheffield.

Biomedical science course is academically rigorous and challenging but needs improvement in terms of organisation and informing students of changes Summer exam timetables need to be released much earlier Union is second to none

Amazing campus, new and state of the art engineering building with more study spaces and new facilities. Student union is consistently rated the best for several years in a row! There are so much stuffs that you can get involved in!

All of the campus buildings and facilities are great - the new buildings are modern and the old ones well looked after. There's a great range of support for students here from multiple different places. You really feel that there is a community looking out for you. And the activities and societies here are great. Not only is there a wide range of societies, but sport clubs and fitness groups are free if you live in student halls. Couldn't be happier here.
