Pros - I thoroughly enjoy studying at Glasgow University. The buildings look like something from a Harry Potter set and it is carefully juxtaposed with the modern, dynamic buildings popping up recently. The Medical School has high tech learning tools for better quality teaching and understanding. Cons - There are so many students at Glasgow, sometimes there aren't enough quiet spaces as it is always busy. There is a shortage of study spaces, especially during exam time! Also, there is no University parking, which is so frustrating getting into the University campus!

The university itself is very good but I personally don't feel like I am getting the 'full university experience' due to the fact that I am a student who commutes rather than lives in the halls-an incredibly expensive thing to do in Glasgow. The university is incredibly intense in its level of work and the hours required (particularly being a science student as I have mandatory labs to attend which last 3 hours), and juggling this as well as work is often challenging. There is a lot of extracurricular activities available which is a real selling point for attending my university, although I have not yet been able to join any due to the time I need to spend studying, working and commuting, as well as trying to maintain my own social life. The university is also, in my opinion, far too small for the high volume of students which attend here, meaning that it is often hard to find a seat in the library/the student unions. The careers service is always very helpful, if anything, being under valued by students, particularly in first/second year (I.e when no one wants to think about having to get a job after university ends). Despite all these drawbacks, it's a uni which works you hard so you can get the best degree possible, and I do quite like going there.
