Sunderland is a average sized city and you’re never more than 30 mins away from the city centre. The nightlife is growing and not too shabby. Alot of Sunderland is seeing rennovation and investment which is highly appreciated by many. The Bridges shopping centre is alright for everyday needs and the odd browse. If you have the money there is things to do in and around the area, but for some without or short, it can be quite restrictive although not impossible with some imagination. For the uni lifestyle Sunderland is a great little city to study in and suits most down to a “T”.

City is alright, good nightlife, lots of shops all around. Not too busy. Has the occasional troublemakers around nighttime. Uni is in a good central location, with St. Peters Campus not too far away and still close to city center.

I love being in Sunderland for university, the town has a great variety of shops available in bridges and there's plenty of bars and clubs for great night out. Everything is close enough together to walk between or even if you need a taxi there's plenty of cheap services to use

Crappy area, litterally blood all over the underpass outside the university one monday morning. Zero places to eat that weren't the rip your eyes out university cafe, no shops, wouldn't have lived in halls for fear of being burgled
