Nottingham has an impressive number and range of bars cafés and restaurants, most offering student discounts due to the student nature of the city. Transport links are excellent.

Nottingham is great, the night life scene is wild and there are so many good options for places to eat. There are lots of amazing bars and many events that occur daily, it's so great and I highly recommend.

Lots of shopping and food places. Regular student nights and shopping events. Easy access public transport including bus tram and train. Central bowling ice skating and cinema. There are theatres and an arena in the city centre. Central tourist attraction such as100 year old pub and caves. Regular themed markets.

Nottingham is a city that only ceases to amaze. The shops are second to none, there is a wide variety of pubs and restaurants for all budgets and the music scene is extraordinary. With venues such as Rock City, Rescue Room and the Ice Arena there is always something happening in Nottingham. That isn't including both the theatre royal and concert hall as well as all the smaller venues and nightclubs. You will never fail to find something to do in Nottingham. There is the Nottingham Caves where you can go underground and discover the history of Nottingham and you can shop to your hearts content with two shopping centres and shops around every corner. There is also an amazing Christmas market in the market square equipt with an ice rink ready for the festive season. The team runs through Nottingham city centre and there are always buses to catch. Nottingham will always be one of my favourite cities.

Love all nights out, food in city centre tastes great, however takeaways could improve. Lots of things to do, such as watch a movie, go shopping, see the history of Nottingham, etc. Can be a little expensive, but bearable.

The city of Nottingham is a vibrant town the energy is alive. The restaurants varity could be extended to something less mainstream and more out of the box. Partnership with student discounts should run through the town as the city centre is majority students with there being two unis two colleges

This city has pretty much everything you need as a student. Whether you have alot or very little money, there are options for all budgets. Nightclubs are great and they're available for all types of music tastes. Overall a very good environment to live in a student.

Nottingham has a variety of food places, you can get anything from a spicy chicken korma to a fish and chips, the transport is good legit a taxi service around evety corner near every night club. The clubs get heavy around 8-9 pre drinks sold at 8. Pryzm and rock city are the main visited night clubs that I can think of. It's a pretty friendly town with a lot of history.

Nottingham is exactly what you would expect of a student city with plenty of things to do tailored to a student audience. There are many bars and nightclubs as well as a wide variety of restaurants to try out at different prices. Overall it's a very exciting place to live with very few drawbacks.

Good night life and range of restaurants. Lots of nice shops, especially in Victoria Centre. Easy to get everywhere as there are good transport links to and around the city.

The nights out here are the bomb. So many places to go with lots of veriety of music all in close proximity to each other, be it clubs, bars or restaurants, Nottingham has a great night life. The shops here are great as there is a Victoria centre in the middle of town so it's easy to access many different stores from fancy dress to Pandora and boost. The food veriety is incredible, as in any city; the prices aren't bad for city life especially at Cosmo which is a nice buffet place. At the moment there is a lovely Christmas fair on which is getting everyone in the mood for Christmas but is also a fun outing for all ages.

Good for food and drinks but no day activities in city centre other than cinema and mini golf. Highly recommend Boardmarsh cinema for cheap prices. Intu Victoria centre provides very good shopping as well as the surrounding area full with shops. Also Market Square occasionally provides good entertainment e.g. Christmas market.

Nottingham is a lovely city and there is plenty to do for everyone of all ages! There is good, reliable and reasonably priced transport throughout the city taking you wherever you want to go! There are lots of coffee shops, restaurants and bars so there is a good variety to choose from for whatever you may fancy on a particular day, and on the whole are reasonably priced. Nightlife in Nottingham is good, there are lots of different clubs to choose from and most have a student night at least one day a week which is reassuring for many students to know only students are allowed into a particular club on a certain night. There's also lots to do in Nottingham itself from the castle and caves to shopping and the cinema, there is something to suit everyone of all ages!

Nottingham is an excellent city, offering something for everybody and every taste. The city centre is on the doorstep of NTU and within walking distance of most accomodation. Excellent student deals for food and drinks and the night life is one of the best in the country.

I think the city is an enjoyable place to live, but does lack some certain aspects many people would find desirable. Financially, it is a pretty cheap place to live and student nights especially are very affordable. I think there is a big divide between the students and the locals though, mainly because the normal prices are too steep for many students to pay, meaning that the students tend to go out in the week and the locals at the weekend, there is no overlap. I think the night outs are good and there's a wide variety to choose from, the only issue is that the most popular ones are difficult to get tickets for and are very expensive if you do manage to get tickets. There isn't that much to do in the city though, there's many eating places and shopping places, but Nottingham lacks activities and sights to see. Obviously it has the castle, but that's about as good as it gets for things to do.

Moving away to a large city worried me at first but now that I'm here I've realised how exciting it is. Everyone is so friendly and caring and there are so many things that I still haven't explored yet such as the contempory museum and a lot of the quaint bars and restaurants.

Nice city aesthetically, with great student nightlife and culinary options. Spent the last 3 years here and enjoyed it greatly Shopping is okay but it could be better including brands such as Apple.

I believe Nottingham is one of the best cities in the UK for the bar scene. It has so many amazing bars with great vibes and good drinks deals. Pepper Rocks is a personal favourite, but walk around Lace Market/Hockley area and you will find many amazing bars, including some hidden ones (Boilermaker, Lost Property, Hockley Arts Club). For Nottingham, the bars are much better than the clubs which are mainly very generic and boring. The restaurant scene is also immense, with all the popular chains, as well as plenty of quirky independent restaurants. Petite Paris and Soulville Steak house are two of my favourites. The tram system is fantastic, there is never very far to walk to where you want to go. Shopping is a little lacking with very few independent quirky shops.

I love Nottingham. Lenton is a great place to live in as a student, it doesn't take long to walk or cycle into Town or onto Campus, busses are very good as well. The city is just the right size, big enough to have loads of things to do, great restaurants, 3 cinemas, good shopping centres and plenty of greenery, i.e. Wollaton Park, and also small enough to get around easily.

Nottingham is a great student city. With so many places to eat out (there are loads of spoons), multiple really good student club nights and awesome shops. There is only so many steps you can take in the city centre until you come across another student! With Ocean wednesdays as our top society night, you can live your dreams of dancing to High School Musical and Robbie Williams. Nottingham is the BEST!

Really great shopping and eating/drinking. City centre very pleasant place. Sometimes need to be careful on nights out with drinks but that can be doing anywhere. Fairly expensive but you can definitely find deals and offers. Plenty of places to walk and find quiet along the river. I found the city to be a good size to have things to do but not get lost. Can find your way round easily.

Nottingham is great for students as it's relatively cheap compared to other student hubs such as London, however there isn't a large promotion for activities outsides Bars and clubs as that is what Nottingham is primarily for. The food here is mostly all the same. Same idea, fast food. Fried food. Value for money is good. It's not too expensive but it isn't dead cheap either. It's a great place to be if you're a student as I have not seen many job opportunists in the city other than university offers.

Being a student based city, I have come to find Nottingham to be a pleasant and fun experience with friends and family. Having a multitude of shops and restaurants, there is never a boring moment whilst in the city with plenty to do. Nights out are a must with multiple Wetherspoon's around the town centre which have cheap drinks for pres and then to a nightclub such as Stealth, NG1, Rick City or Bodega to continue the night.

Good nightlife and decent shops, good for university students and accommodation nearby. Great freshers week and plenty of choice for food.
