Norwich is such a lovely city. It's quiet, which I like, but there's also shopping malls and cinemas to go to. Buses don't run as regularly as London and they don't run that late either which can be annoying at times.

Amazing food places for a student budget offering all kinds of cuisines as well as many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Nights out are fairly average and mostly only good when there are events on at specific clubs & bars

The city has a range of different clubs which offer different types of music so there's somewhere for everyone, the city also has a wide range of places to eat spread across the whole city.

Norwich is great city with its shopping center called chaplefeild. There are usual unique lanes with vintage and local stores aswell as the day to day markets. There are various clubs from Mantra, LCR, Loft, and Waterfront for people who like a great night out. There are Audi and Lidl aswell as Iceland in Norwich so students can save money.

The food in Norwich is very varied, giving a huge choice. I particularly love five guys or Bella italia or the steakhouses! Also, there are plenty of shops to suit your needs and I go there allll the time. I think that it is a large but easy city to find you way around, and is perfect for a day shopping trip, a night out or a date night to the cinema or restaurant. I get the train there and back all the time and they are mostly on time and is a quick way of getting to the city and back again whenever I feel like it.

A beautiful old town centre with everything you could ever need within walking distance of each other

Norwich is a City in the middle of nowhere, and yet, it's an exciting hub of independent businesses, vibrant cultural diversity, all the entertainment you could look for, and a mass of interesting things to do. Norwich is great as a young adult and above, there is so many great bars and pubs, and a huge range of restaurants, both of the chain establishments, but also so many independent locations, which are readily supported. This is so unlike many places in the country and is a fascinating aspect of the city, and will always surprise you if you take a leap and try something new and unique! The norwich castle and cathedral offer a great range of historical intrigue, as well as access to different cultural wealth. However, Norwich, while small and interesting, can sometimes feel small, and if you cannot drive, after a while, you may get feel a little stuck in the middle of nowehere. There are great links to London and the rest of the country, and Norwich even has its own airport, there are just times in which it can feel a little like you can't get away into the surroundings as easy as you may like. However, sometimes you just need to get on a bus or a train and go and have an explore. Norwich is a great city, and so great as an evolution from having come from a smaller location, to almost a "starter city" before heading further out. Norwich may be your forever home, or it may just be a stop, but whichever it is, it is a great city.

Norwich is a great city if you're more of a pub/bar crawl person than a clubbing person. Although there are a few nightclubs, there's no where near as many as many as a larger, more studenty city and from visiting other unis I found that we were completely ripped off with drink prices in Norwich. Uber also hasn't reached Norwich yet so getting home is a bit of a hassle and often involves lots of queuing and expensive taxi journeys. However something Norwich does excel in is pubs. There's a common fact that Norwich has a pub for every day of the year. There are many quirky independent bars and pubs from retro game bars with a dog, to bars with an upside down city on the ceiling. Pub crawls and quizzes are a must in Norwich. Daytime events wise, shopping is really good with both a large shopping centre and highstreet for mainstream shops and many restaurants and the famous Norwich Lanes with an array of boutique and independent shops.

Norwich is such a lovely city and I'm so happy I moved here! Everywhere is easy to get to by walking and the buses are cheap and can take you to some very cool places like the Sainsburys Centre or the Urban Jungle. There's so many places out here to eat, and despite the night life not being great as bigger cities, it still has something for everyone. It also has two giant shopping centres which is very handy.

Norwich is such an amazing city. It's so small and everything is within walking distance, with a great atmosphere and friendly people. It's also got everything you'd want - big shops, great pubs, lovely restaurants. Norwich is the place to be.

So many supermarkets, the city is amazing for a day out shopping with two malls and streets upon streets of shops. You can go sight seeing on an open roof bus. The value for money is amazing as well, with shops that sell at minimal prices and maximum quality! The clubbing life is brilliant too.

Theres not much to do in terms of nights out however Norwich has some beautiful scenery and historical architecture

Nice campus in green environment but easy 20 min bus ride into city centre. Easy access to shopping centres and nightlife via bus number 25 and 26. Doing a full supermarket shop could have been easier as you have to either get the bus or walk about 25 minutes to local Aldi, but Asda and Sainsbury's deliveries really helped with this.

Norwich is a lovely city which is becoming more independent. The university is situated in the city Center and is perfect location for culture as well as shopping. I love Norwich lanes and the independent clothing stores, my favourite is Catfish and Dogfish as you can find some staple wears as well as some high end brands. Best part of Norwich is the people. Everyone is so welcoming and nice and I love how student based the city is. You can never be bored in Norwich, there’s so much to do from music, nightlife and places to eat.

Lots of bars to choose from for a relaxing drink and some light bites and tapas. Franks Bar is my favourite with a bohemian vibe and laid back atmosphere, choose between local beers and exciting cocktails to enjoy with their Mediterranean style dishes. Lots of history in the city with the cathedral to look at as well as the Lanes, quaint and cobbled streets around Elm Hill as well as the broads.

Fun city, large but not too big to be lost around, quite close to home so has good transport links and the people are friendly which reminds me of home so much. Has a cinema and 2 shopping centres, everything you’d expect from a city with nice views and scenery.

The uni is slap bang in the centre of Norwich which is fab cos you can pop into town whenever you need to. The shopping is really good, there’s a mixture of high street and also independent businesses which is really encouraging. Cute cafes and bars around and it’s also just big enough - it’s cute and quirky without making you feel stressed like a big city can. I do wish there was more ways of getting to the little places just outside of the city because we don’t have cars here as parking is crap, but maybe we’ll brave the long walk on a nice sunny day!

Norwich is an incredibly interesting area which much to do. There are many clubs to explore and venues for live music, specifically the LCR at UEA and the Waterfront. With many shopping centres and one off stores it is the perfect place to spend.

The campus is too big for how many students that it takes in. You tend to find yourself a lone a lot of the time but if you don’t want that I would recommend going for a city university. It was not what I hoped it to be which pushed me to take a gap year to attend a city university this year.

Norwich is a great city to live as it contains a great balance of quirky spots and busy, popular more mainstrain places. Although the city is quite small, it has everything that you could need with some great places not too far from the centre. A city with history and a great future it’s a really good place for students to spend the next 3+ years of their life,

Norwich is such a good place to study. The city is a mixture of old and new. With the castle and cathedral in the centre surrounded by two shopping centres and a variety of other shops including all that you can find in the lanes. There’s something for everyone from trampoline parks to three different cinemas. The variety of pubs and places to eat are vast with vegan options galore and cute cafes to sit and get lost in your work. The UEA campus itself is location only 20 minutes from the city with buses running regularly until the early hours of the morning. The campus has its own lake with fields of horses behind and bunnies hopping round campus wherever you go. I once heard a young girl said to her dad during a visit it’s like a mini city. It’s true we have everything you’d need right on campus. There are lots of places to eat and lots of things to do for around £10 which is good value for money. Also, from asking friends at other uni’s our rent is pretty good value for money. The only thing that needs improving is the nightlife. The bars and pubs are good but obviously close at around 1, so there needs to be better clubs to carry on the party. Although, loft is a good night every now and again- with cheap drinks and karaoke! The only thing is you have to get there early enough or you won’t get in at all.

I lived in norwich before studying and really think it has everything you could ever wish for, really nice local places to eat and a bustling city centre with high end night life. I really love it. The girls are sublime !

Beautiful city with a suprising amount of things to do! Nights out are good but after 1st/2nd year they can become repetitive due to the limited number of clubs in Norwich (though this is highly dependent on how much you go out - for me it’s atleast 2-3 times a week ). A good mix of cheap and more expensive things to do and spoilt for choice on eating (especially for u vegans) 10/10 city
