There is lots to do in Dundee including visiting the Dundee Contemporary Arts where there is an artist exhibition, restaurant/bar, cinema and gift shop. The Overgate shopping centre is a great place to shop with a large range of well known stores. Take a walk down to the waterfront to see the V&A which is currently being built and visit the outstanding degree show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design which is on in May each year.

Everything is so central- the uni is right in the middle of town and near the shops, there’s a premier shop on campus and a 24/7 bakery just up the road. The campus is right next to the union (which is amazing) and is perf for a 4am craw home

More quiet than other larger uni locations, plenty pubs but not much to do. Shopping centre is good and plenty places to eat and drink. Few nice parks

The location of the university and the library are perfect as it's right besides the city centre. The shopping is easy as there's a mall with everything you need, and Tescos are not far from each other. The night life is good, at least during the term time.

There’s a lot of great pubs and bars in Dundee, also a lot of places to eat out. The shops are average but not any worse than you’d find in most other cities, maybe just on a smaller scale. Nights out are good, there are a few decent nightclubs, but the university student Union is my favourite place to go, with cheap entry and cheap drinks it’s a great place for students. There’s a lot to do in terms of days out to places nearby Dundee such as St. Andrews or drives up the countryside. Dundee itself has castles, museums etc to visit which will become more when the renowned V&A opens this year. Housing is not too expensive in comparison to places like Edinburgh and Aberdeen which makes it pretty affordable for students.

The location is excellent right in the city centre near lots of good food places for when your cramming before deadlines! Also Dundee is fairly small so that the uni is usually within walking distance from accommodation :)

Dundee is a very small city; you can walk from one end to the other fairly comfortably within about an hour, and the city centre itself consists of only about four streets. That said, Dundee has a heart like no other. Both unis are only a short walk from the city centre, which itself is on the up and up with lovely new restaurants and shops opening by the day. I'm not really one for a night out myself, but other people seem to enjoy it well enough and the pubs are pretty cheap. The various shopping centres (overgate and wellgate in particular) contain most if not all the shops you could possibly ask for in a conveniently central location.

If your wanting a cheap night out Dundee is a good place to go. Although it’s nothing in comparison to Edinburgh and Glasgow it is up and coming and there is more places opening as days go on

Dundee is up and coming for such a small city. It has several places for nights out (however tonnes of room for improvement) and good, cheap places to drink and eat. Everything is just a walk away so really easy to get around. There are tonnes of societies that are very active and always looking for new members. University Halls are expensive for what you receive but the private halls are a lot more reasonable with better faculties. The shopping centre covers most generic tastes and is very central.

Dundee is fantastic, there’s everything you could ever need in the city centre and most things are in walking distance.

Dundee has cheap rent and cheap nights out. Lots of nightclubs, bars and restaurants. Things like cinemas are far away but great shopping centre. Easy to get around.

Great wee town, with great student-oriented nightlife and businesses. Bigger shops are bit further away from the centre. Rent is cheapest in the UK, but not in too bad of condition.

I like the location of the uni as it's close to the train station, and I travel by train to uni every day so it's pretty ideal having it be a short walk. The union in dundee is great and also a short walk from other clubs etc in town. For food there's lots of little cafes around the uni and mayfly across the road. As I'm studying art it's great for location as it's a short walk to the DCA

Dundee's a fantastic city, not so small as to be boring but not big enough to need to drive everywhere. The Reading Rooms is a fab nightclub, they have a night called Locarno once a month where they just play 50s/60s music, it's brill. Shopping's a bit generic but there's the odd gem if you look hard enough.

Great city, lots of culture and nightlife is mad! Helpful staff around the uni! The union is by far the best I’ve ever experienced, 5 floors accomodating everything you could ask for

There are some really nice coffee shops and independent shops around but there isn't much variation in terms of fun bars and pubs. Reading Rooms and Beat Generator can be great club nights but everything else is pretty tragic. Nice & cheap though.

Plenty of food outlets and shops to please any student. A rife amount of restaurants to take your significant other out of just friends. Plenty of fast food also to satisfy the cheap quick in need of food studying.

The nights out in Dundee for student are good especially clubs are very cheap. Eating out is a wee bit boring because there are no restaurant that change menus frequently. Shopping in the overgate and in the city centre is decent because you can find a lot of big brands.
