Yummy food on campus and cheap english breakfast. Library good for studying and looks well pretty. Karaoke at union is fun. Some of the buildings are looking a bit run down but there’s lots of green on campus which is cute. Sweet swimming pool.

Good teaching quality and faculty facilities. Lacking in the sports department more than anything else. Also an actual students union club rather than bar would be great.

The campus is really nice - trees everywhere and even has a river running through it. As a second year I know my way around the campus well but it's not so large that you would find it difficult until after a couple of weeks in first year. The main problem on campus is the library. As the university's student population has expanded over the last few years, there have been little developments to increase the space within the library. Construction has begun on a new 'learning hub' but this won't be completed for quite a few years, by which time I will hopefully have graduated.

I don’t really want to be a marine biologist any more after the first 3 years on doing said degree; 90% bullshit and plankton and the odd 10% genuinely interesting stuff. SUSU is shit, guess the facilities are decent, towns great, people are great, party scene/night out is great

Love the course but more contact hours would be good, need drop in classes to help with assignments. The student union is pants, no events, very apolitical.

The city of Southampton is absolutely gorgeous with great nightlife. As for the university, the structure of the day is pretty convenient, and the layout of the campus and the room system makes sense. Lecturers are generally very friendly and helpful, and the student union is absolutely brilliant!

This University is better than I could imagine. The level here is very high, I am speaking about the lectures, campus, students and even the bus stop. It is a great place to study your module but also learn languages and about new cultures.

Highfield Campus is great, green spaces and lots of trees. Avenue campus is quiet. Marine Biology is a brilliant course, lots of practical labs and boat sessions. Student union is improving and has lots to offer including a student housing team. Careers service is really good, lots of advice and help sessions available.

Facilities are good, sports could be improved as it's very expensive and so people miss out on opportunities. More activities that appeal to more students should be readily available and advertised accordingly

Decent facilities, halls were a bit shitty but decent enough, student union has a nice cinema, my course is good with good facilities for CS students. Good time so far.

Great city, everything is close and easy to get to. University facilities are mostly very modern and good. Course is intense and lots of work, mostly volume of work and volume to learn that can be challenging rather than the complexity. Student union good in Thursdays for karaoke!!!

Great city, everything is really close and easy to get to. Uni facilities are mostly modern and up to date. Wide lane sports ground can get water logged quite easily but otherwise very good. Course is intense, volume of work and content to learn more challenging that difficulty in understanding. Student union great on Thursdays for karaoke!!!

The campus is very beautiful. I really enjoy my course, the teaching staff are great. However, the student union is not very inclusive and make many decisions without the views of students.

Me and my boyfriend sam really enjoy skyn, oh and university. Southampton is a great place, would be better if there was more doggies.

Very good nightlife in town. Sports facilities such as the campus gym and playing fields could do with some work. The gym is overcrowded and the wide lane fields flood far too easily. The halls are generally of a good standard and the learning facilities (lab equipment etc. Is very good). The careers service is easy to use and very helpful. The campus layout is aesthetic and well kept by ground staff.

Nice campus with ducks. Good chemistry department. Shit vice chancellor. RIP Susu, the cat that was our student union president. Good quality halls with trees and stuff. Fab free bus pass but it sucks that we don't get it for the whole of our uni career if we don't live in halls after first year. Piazza has fab pizza. Near an amazing gay club.

The uni is moving in a good direction with restructuring the organisation and focusing on the student a lot more. A bigger library is needed and the student union needs to be better focused on students.

It is a very good city for drinking as there is endless pubs and clubs . Easy to get to campus with really good travel links and we have an airport nearby if you want to fly anywhere. Lots of weird and wacky sports and societies. As a physics student I find it is a bit lacking in support and some of the teaching feels sub par and I have very much struggled.

The campus is a good part of southampton university, with it being away from the city centre it allows it to be big enough all in good walking distance. The unilink bus pass is also a great thing about the uni especially in first year where it's included with halls. The accommodation is great personally, clean, big and modern. Lecture theatres are mostly good as well and the fact that all lecture slides and most lectures are recorded and put online is a really helpful thing both when making more notes after the lecture and during revision. Southampton is a great uni to be at.

Dubious financial reputation of vice chancellor. Fantastic facilities, great employment prospects. Overall friendly atmosphere. Good quality accommodation.

Studied Biomedical Sciences for 4 years. Good things: - overall course organisation (not made to take modules irrelevant, can specialise fairly early) - new life sciences building, good access to library, other facilities, spacious lecture theaters, panopto access for most lectures, online submission, etc. - careers building services are quite good, help with interviews, CVs, career advice, for free - the course advertised laboratory experience and that's what I got - loads of sports (and other) societies that are very involved and welcoming to new commers - most lecturers I had seemed genuinely involved with their students/interested in their progress/happy to give advice and take feedback Cons: - not much career advice from assigned tutors - not many organised lab internships (there are loads paid for other areas, including marketing, finances, etc., but very little in a laboratory/clinical environment organised through the university) - expensive gym membership, compulsory for playing sports for any university team - the library needs some refurbishing (not heated, no plugs, etc.), but that's underway; it's also painfully crowded (there are other study areas around halls as well)

I just love the course I am doing It's so much fun. It really engages in topics i enjoy and the campus has wonderful facilities that are also very scenic and modern. Everything that the uni had to offer is fantastic and I am enjoying every second of it so far, including the masses of events that the put in and the enourmas amounts of opportunity they encourage. It is also very challenging in a good way which makes me enjoy it even more

Great spacious campus with lots of energy. Good facilities, the library provides an acceptable amount of space for people to study. Gym needs to update its equipment and to generally by bigger.
