Not horrendous, not brilliant - good facilities but lack of care for the humanities department is a big issue. I feel there needs to be more investment across the board for all subjects

The campus is pretty and the fasciities are on point. Some Lecturers need some training considering how much they get paid

Beautiful campus especially as it’s now snowing and Highfield looks like a winter wonderland. Courses are often filled with extra learning practices like tutorials and workshops instead of just listening in lectures.

Southampton is a lovely university with a lot of diversity, fun things to do and enthusiastic and caring lecturers. The uni in general is really top quality education-wise as there are a lot of resources available for example, in the library.

The campus at the University of Southampton is very green and close to a large park called the Common. The facilities are clean and fresh with a mix of modern and older buildings. the library has a lovely curved wooden staircase which is a pretty cool feature. The SU is okay, and do try hard to be useful for students. Overall the university is a nice place to study in my opinion!!

Campus is nice to be in. Facilities are mostly modern and easy to access/ use. My course (physics) has good structure with good flexibility. Union is good at organising events and inter mural events

The campus is decent with buildings that are quite old and boring but does it job. The facilities are good, could do with more self study spaces outside the library. The student union is okay, offering service of expectation but have rigid rules regarding using rooms and spaces. The careers service is good with the drop in sessions but would be better with longer sessions.

The university offers loads of extra circucular activities, as well as lots of additional support with studies. The tutor system works really really well and you can feel like you can talk to them about anything, the close relationships with the PhD students works well too.

Great campus and really friendly staff, would definitely recommend to others thinking of applying. I study physics and the lecture halls are great, and the lecturures are brilliant

The main (newer) campuses are stunning with very modern, bright and airy feel to them making them welcoming and inviting. The facilities are all so close by as well (library, gym, GP, union) but not so close together they do not fit or look distracting!

World class facilities, but with teaching spread too thinly over our very large year group means that more and more work is better off doing at home. Plenty of soc's to join and living is relatively cheap... if you avoid the uni shops.

The course is a lot less intense than what I thought it would be, I thought there would be much more contact houses for Geography but there isn’t. The acconpcation is really good and here’s lots of choice, the union is good but the club is rubbish as it’s onlt on during freshers, the organisation is quite poor like the pastoral care isn’t gay great in the Uni as a whole.

The overall performance of the university is of standard. However, the ties it has with industry have to be made better for postgraduate students. Also, the level of English for some international students has to be checked more thoroughly, so that they are not misunderstandings.

The campus is huge with a rich library and friendly staff! However, the environment in the library can be improved. Also, there are many international students and their level of English has to be improved to match the standards of the university. The career services have to provide further links with the i dustry and help with students thesis to be connected with challanges that companies face.

The campus is lovely and the facilities are pretty good too, most courses have their own space to study/relax/chat. The library is huge with an easy system to book rooms as well as 24 hour opening around exams! The university also puts a lot of emphasis on careers advice with fairs and services.

The lecturers are very good and the campus and lecture theatres are good. It’s located well within the city with a lot of options for nights out. The student union could be a lot better however. The sports facilities are overpriced for what we can use.

Campus has everything you’d need on your day to day uni life. Just a shame there isn’t a students union club all year round. Love my course, organised really well and the staff are really good.

Campus is really nice, course is good but not many contact hours. Student union are rubbish, can’t organise events and make stupid rules, don’t focus on the students enough!

Pretty good as they go - Southampton isn't a mind blowing city but there are some good bits, and the campus is quite nice, good sports facilities, and a cheap student pub.

Great university experience. got very immersed in sport and social scene that went with. Didn't involve much in course but what was offered was good.

Cutting edge tech university focused on engineering and any maritime degree. These two areas are greatly supported by the facilities existing on the uni's campuses. The lecture theatres aren't brilliant and I think they are short of big ones that are really needed. Excellent work from the career services as well as the international office. Student Union tries to be inclusive but it's a bit mainstream and its bases getting old. I am satisfied by my course and the excellent electronics labs that exist in my department and the organization is alright.

The university campus is very attractive for any student; it has a huge variety of buildings and areas that range in asthetics. There are many on site cafes and places to eat. The university itself (highfield campus) is too far from my accommodation (20 minutes on the bus) which Students may want to consider as it can be a pain to access in the mornings with the bus service (unilink) not being the most reliable.

Amazing facilities, enthusiastic and a great course. Students union could be a bit more active and there are two disgusting buildings on campus

It's extremely beneficial having three separate campuses relating to different disciplines (Main, Humanities, Engineering). It fosters great ideas within groups of like-minded individuals. Each one comes with its own perks relating to the subjects contained on that campus.
