Great overall although as a dual honours degree sometimes I feel like I'm just being passed around the departments and nobody really cares what I get up to. The careers service is really good and helpful and our union hosts the best night s out in Sheffield.

Great university, the lecturers are all really friendly and accommodating. The students Union offers support for any and every issue. The careers service is really helpful, especially with employer connections and CV writing support.

My experience in doing postgraduate study in Law, was that the campus itself is lovely and the Law building is up to date and modern. The teaching is of an extremely high standard and my only criticism is that the organisation of the modules could have been better. Would recommend.

Really great nightlife, and fantasticly cheap places for students to eat. The libraries need more computers and space, and although the accommodation is good, the distance to university is a bit of a trek.

University is great! Some staff care more about your wellbeing and generally teaching than other but it's all part of the university experience.

Sheffield university is a city campus with a range of good facilities. The union holds lots of events and is very good, especially when comparing to other universities.

Course is really good as is the medical school. Staff friendly but they don't have many water fountains and charge a lot for everything.

Beautiful campus that is very accessible and close to city centre. Course (law) was engaging, varied, and we'll taught with lecturers who are always willing to offer further insight and support. The SU is best in the country and has a huge amount going on that really augments the student experience.

Overall my university experiance in sheffield has been pretty good. There isnt really a campus but the university blends in with the city center area. Some of the buildings are quite nice inside and new but others are quite old and pretty basic looking. I like how some of the moduals arnt exam based but course work based, and you can pick the moduals bassed on the method of assesment if it makes a difference for you. The unions apparently ranked the best in the UK, and has pretty good food and seating areas inside. The sports facilities are quite poor compared to unis like sheffield hallum, but we still manage to to better in varsity so it cant be that bad. All the information a student needs is on mole or muse, its there if you look, but lecurers will also go over assesments and send emails for announcements so in terms of organisation its pretty good.

Brilliant university - the students union is one of the very best in the country and nights out there (particularly Tuesday club) are amazing. Student halls are lovely but a little expensive, and I do biology which has been an amazing course with a main focus on whole organism research.

The campus was well preserved and ideal for students, people were always willing to help across campus and at the student's union. The school of English is very satisfactory for anyone who wants to do English lang and lit in depth!

Good university offered good pastoral care. Good course structure with a good choice of modules. Sometimes organisation within the physics lacks and I am left confused and worried about deadlines. Poor handling of the strikes with hardly any correspondence on how assessments are going to be effected until 3 weeks after the strikes. Overall a very good university with a great student feel and a good support network.

Personally , my course i find it to be very unorganised and too reliant on self study, i am paying 9K to be taught not to teach myself.

SU is good, uni is geeky, course is hard. Libraries are always busy but the resources are okay. Lots of hills in Sheffield. The counselling service is terrible.

The facilities are second to none, with the libraries having extensive resources and the teaching rooms being modern and fitted with the latest modcons. Would definitely recommend for English Literature at both BA and MA.

Lovely university with a great Students Union building. Student experience here is amazing and I’ve had a lot of positive experiences whilst studying here. The university itself is very active and hosts a lot of events and campaigns so you’re constantly on your feet! Never a dull moment here in Sheffield.

Uni of Sheffield has a great student union whose focused on the student experience. The university motto is based on being international and it is true to its word. Many of your peers will come from all over the world and they all bring a unique perspective to the classroom making discussions stimulating. The Passion of the university is shown not only in class but also in the hundreds of extracurricular activities one can partake in.

provided me with a better experience of university life. The staff and students are all friendly, the course is brilliant, the social life is great and the campus provides a safe and friendly environment to live in. So far I’ve enjoyed the experience but still trying to get my time management in control due to my other commitments, such as family. The resources are available either online or in the library where I can get a support through StudySkills sessions.

Professors are okay - I feel like they don't hold attention in class very well and sometimes seem a little apathetic. However, student life experience is phenomenal - the Union has great amenities and the school in general (including the Union, the Edge, etc.) holds fantastic events that people genuinely love.

So far I have had a great first year at the university, the sports facilities and Student Union are really great, which makes life as a student on campus really enjoyable. It seems that everyone I meet at the uni genuinely really like it there.

The student union has lots of events every months and there is also a program called Give it a go which let students with no experience try out sports and activities. It also has trips to cities around the UK. Nights out at uni is also good. If u like 80s and 90s songs they have it every Saturday on Poptarts!

Sheffield is an extremely inclusive university that has something for everyone. It has a wide range of courses, and is considered one of the best universities in the country in many fields, and in my opinion it justifies this accolade. The facilities are modern, with several high-tech libraries you can use to study, and plenty of IT resources available for students. In addition, the social aspect of the uni is amazing, with hundreds of societies as well as ‘give it a go’ sessions and Social Sport for those who want to try a new sport or activity without committing to a society. The uni offers extensive careers services, to help you secure a work placement and enhance your CV and employability.
