Hockey (Ladies)

The standard of hockey is very high all the way through the club from the 1st - 6th team. Coaching is a high standard and all 3 coaches are very committed. Training times can be difficult as they are always after lectures finish but in the winter the pitch can freeze. Socials are very fun and usually run smoothly, due to being sponsored members have to go to alot of bars it would be better to have socials where there is less pressure to drink if people don't want to. Membership is very expensive - especially when you take into account members have to have a university sports membership

The hockey club was a great way to meet new people with similar interests to me. Alot of my close friends made at University was through the club. Although at times organisation of lower down teams was not as high as quality as 1sts there were still many opportunities for games and training throughout the year aswell the ability to be part of the committee as an extra role.
