Northumbria university has a lovely atmosphere on campus, a great range of facilities including; a large well stocked library, sports centre, amazing computer zones and student union. There are many societies and clubs to join and I've thoroughly enjoyed studying here.

I don’t like the location of Northumbria as it is in Newcastle, however the facilities such as career services and the opportunity to travel to your choice of destination from a wide range different options for study or work abroad is a real strength of the university. I know a lot of universities which only offer study abroad in Europe. The campus itself is quite modern and well kept which is nice, the course itself is a little bland and were told we had more options for modules than we do but the quality of the content is good.

Great university, they gave me the opportunity to gain valuable work experience along with extensive learning of course materials.

Overall student experience is pretty good. Unlike some universities the students union is very popular and their is a very good student atmosphere. I study law and enjoy the course but there could be more student critiquing to see how I’m doing.

Course facilities are brilliant, all my lecturers are approachable and offer differing views on topics. The library is open 24/7 which means exam periods are easier because you are able to move into the library. The campus is in a good city centre location and the student bar is cheap.

On the whole the university is fantastic. Education wise - excellent facilities and learning environment, with staff helpful and motivated to help students better themselves. As the polytechnic university in the city, the architecture of the campus is certainly secondary to Newcastle uni, however Northumbria still benefits from a city centre location and amenities.

Great location and city. Business School is new and library is good. Student Union is engaging and career services are helpful. Course was okay. So many study abroad opportunities which made an amazing time for the whole thing.

Good uni, great facilities. No real complaints. Great choice. Excellent labs and well equipped sports facilities. Right next to the city center. Supportive staff, great mental health facilities. Well rounded uni.

A great university for creative subjects, very helpful tutors and technicians in he fashion department. A lot of help from the Student Union whenever or whatever you need it for. Brand new library with state of the art equipment and a great friendly atmosphere both in and out of campus.

City campus is modern and has everything a student needs. Though difficult at first to navigate there’s plenty of friendly people to help you. They put their students first which is the main thing! Security’s the best with great teams and an app on phone it’s relieving to know help is just a button away!

I love my university as it has allowed me to not only study the subject I love but also meet people who share the same passions. I am so glad I chose to come here!

My time at Northumbria University has been the best three years of my life. All starting in freshers week I was given the best flatmates ever, I think it’s the most important thing of first year; to get into the mentality of making friends and meeting new people as you’ll set yourself up for the next three years making friends and memories. My course, fashion communication has guided me in the right direction for the career that I want to pursue and really helped me grow as an individual, I’ve been given so many amazing opportunities and traveled to so many amazing and niche places because of it. Newcastle is the best city ever and nowhere does St Paddys day like it.

The campus is an inclusive fun place to be. You feel welcomed and happy around the other students. The course layout is great however 2nd year has been difficult. The SU is the most amazing SU always lively amazing staff and a great atmosphere.

Northumbria University has a positive atmosphere round campus, where you feel safe and secure at all times. Facilities are okay although in some areas still quite dated whilst other areas are very modern, so quite the contrast.

My course in particular (Design For Industry) is great in the sense that it covers a diverse range of design skills. This naturally equips us as students to be able to confidently interact with designers of different skill-sets, such as graphics, and work to develop products that are well thought through and fit for industrial manufacture.

The university has a good community and the resources are good, despite being hard to get access to. The student union does the best and cheapest food on campus.

Northumbria university has great facilities for students. The library is opened everyday, 24/24 and offers lots of resources online and books, PCs and Macs. We also have lots of societies to suit everyone and the buildings are nice and well-situated. We can enjoy many sports and student prices for the gym are cheap.

The campus overall has a wide range of facilities for all courses, with a large library with the capacity to hold the majority of students. The library contains computers, enclosed seating areas with TV screens for group work and presentations, and all books and articles needed for your course. The campus layout makes everything easy to locate too making new students settle in with more ease.

Brilliant union and this is a modern campus with great wifi and a nice layout and everything is designed for student comfort. An amazing university all round with great facilities and they are still building new stuff and investing in their students. Frequent emails with opportunities for outside work and volunteering amongst other things which is great. Northumbria in it's entirety is not the nicest of places to live, but everywhere has its downfalls. The University itself is growing bigger and bigger each year with new buildings and courses to help the next generation strive upon their strengths. Very happy with my experience here.

This is my first year at Northumbria university and so far it has been a great experience. The building I study in is great, lots of space and plenty of computers to use. I don’t tend to use the campus much but when I do it’s always good. The library is also great, good atmosphere and has a good variety of books for everyone to use.
