Great lectures, great location, very social and everything is handy/close and near by could use more food/restaurant options rather than instant food

Campus is amazing so scenic and provides you with many Instagram opportunities ! The nightlife is amazing and there’s lots to do in the day too because you’re so close to the big city. But being on campus, in first year halls on the Vale or second/third year living is like a little uni bubble.

I have really enjoyed my university experience at uni of birmingham. My course has been very intellectually stimulating and enjoyable; I have been able to apply delivered content to my own independent study and interests outside of my course. The staff are very approachable and there is a lot of help and support offered through canvas and panopto (where lectures are recorded). The location is great, near main town but also feels like a student community in Selly Oak. Loved the last 3 years and made the best memories with great people!

The university has a beautiful campus feauturing the tallest free standing clock anywhere on the world.

The campus is an amazing red brick with the largest lone standing clock tower in Europe! There’s a brand new state of the art library and gym. Sports science is incredible and I’ve heard good things about other courses too. All in all id definatly recommend.

The campus is quite big and nice as it’s near the city centre but still slightly out. The facilities are quite good too and are widely accessible. My course is well organised. The career services are located in the main university building and are extensively available to all students across the university.

This university is amazing and I don't know any other university like it, and that is coming from someone who looked around SO many. It is the perfect combination of a campus university which feels safe, secure and peaceful and big, bright and exciting city which is perfect for shopping, exploring and nightlife. With it being the only university in the country to have its own train station, the city can be reached within 7 minutes. The student union is wonderful and provides two great nights out a week and it is a wonderful place to study and live and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The student union event, "fab", could be much better. However facilities especially at medschool are brilliant. My course is well taught and access to resources is excellent

Facility was amazing. Classes were very scheduled however timetabling was beyond a pain. World class lecturers with real experience in their field

I loved studying here so much! I rarely visit main campus so can not greatly comment on it but far as medical school is concerned the inside of the building is lovely and so many work places to study in. It has its own library, computer cluster and free printing! The lectures are very many but mostly interesting! they fit in well with SGTS (small group teaching sessions) and assignments set. The research lab project for my disertation was definately the highlight for me! Its very hands on and you are assigned per student to a individual project! Careers are great too! whenever you have trouble or are stuck or confused there is always help and support available! you just need to ask :)

Amazing campus that will only get better with the Green Heart being built. Looking forward to the outdoor cinema!

Interesting and stimilating course that challenges students to reach their full potential and ensures they leave university feeling confident in their skills. A student union that is interested in student welfare and feedback. Good location, close to the city and the airport.

The university has such a perception surrounding it because Birmingham still has such a stigma around the city. This could not be more incorrect, the campus is beautiful and so insanely green and comforting. Furthermore, the facilities are fab, the gym and library are state of the art. The first year accommodation is amazing, especially if you're on the vale! In general Birmingham is a city with so much to offer, couldn't recommend it more.

Absolutely love Birmingham. The Campus is great with loads of renovation being done as well. Lots of facilities in terms of spa and stationary shops, coffee shops, and the University train station so it’s easy to hop into town. Also the people are a mix from all over and it has a really friendly feel. I’m studying medicine so can also vouch for the medschool and QEHB, and also have done a free language course this year which are available to all Brum students. Also the night life in Birmingham is overflowing with choices if you chose to go, as well as uni run society events and socials - there’s always something to do! Also around exam season the Guild of Students throws random free events like cuddling puppies or free bumper cars!

As a postgraduate student, I love my course. Well structured most of the time. Facilities in the medical school are great, we are separate from the rest of the campus but super close to the hospital where we sometimes go for teaching. I don’t have much contact with the student union but it sounds like they are doing great things!

Great uni, great campus, great sports facilities. The management of the uni isn't great and some things are underfunded for the amount of money the uni makes, however best night life I've been to.

Beautiful campus and great research facilities. Library is not big enough. Don’t not provide enough support staff for mental illness.

This university is next to none, great links with the local communities and all that Birmingham has to offer. Many departments feel like close knit families.

I am nearly finishing my first year at the university of Birmingham and have loved my experience so far! The city is never dull and the nightlife is amazing. It caters to whatever you enjoy, with nights out ranging from techno raves to your average chain clubs. The university itself has a beautiful campus and lots of places to eat and study. The library is state of the art and has just been renovated, including almost any book you could ever need (one thing I would say is get there early as it is hard to find a seat!). Overall just a very good, accommodating university experience.

The campus is going under renovations but other than it’s very nice one of the best campus based units I’ve seen. Facilities I think the uni can improve more on there study spaces other than that everything else is excellent.

I'm only a first year but I've already fallen in love with my University! I never really engaged with High School or college, but university has captured my attention from the beginning. It has been amazing with all the things the university has to offer - some of my favourite societies, one of which I am now President, and open lecture series on some really interesting topics such as the exclusion of women from academia.

range of subjects, lecturers are outstanding, use of panopto making it easy for us to catch up on any missed work or go back over anything, easy access to help if needed, very supportive, campus is easy to move around maps etc
