Queen Mary University of London

There are many campuses, the main one in mile end with great facilities, a large number of societies both sport and academic as well as volunteering for students to join. There's also campuses in Whitechapel and Barbican with excellent facilities for the medical students. Theres a library at each campus, though mile end has the biggest library, and an SU on both mile end and whitechapel campus! It's based in East London so there's never a dull moment in terms of night life, plenty of clubs to go to, and brick lane is right next door. Mile End Road has plenty of reseraunts as well so food from various cultures is a hand. The halls of residence are great, have cleaning services every day for bathrooms and every week for kitchen. Many are en suite, or otherwise have a sink in the room. The rooms vary in size but the large ones, especially in floyer house are massive, and even the smaller ones are cosy with enough storage space and space to move around. Overall great uni.

The campus doesn't have as much greenery as I imagined, but some parts are definitely a beautiful. Also considering all the new buildings and renovations going on, it'll look like a really cool campus once completed!

Great location, especially since it's London. There is good quality education and the facilities arent too bad. Sports societies are very popular and well run. They are mostly better than regular societies and there isnt a large choice in terms of regular societies.

Campus was really good. All lecture theatres, study facilities, and accommodation in one area. There are two stations located very nearby, only a couple minutes walk from campus.

Great Uni with a campus and good social atmosphere. Education is mid tier for biology but pretty good in the psych department. The campus is amazing though and access to facilities is easy and conevenient and it helps create a great community. A lot of stoners and hipsters go here and everyone parties

It was good experience in the university. The only bad point being we didn't get to be in the campus pursuing commercial law.

The uni is unorganized. The campus is clean. The library is too small. The food is too expensive. The lecturers are unorganized. We never get our marks back on time

It's pretty good yano. Like only problem is medicine is separate from all the other courses at the main campus so it's hard to meet ppl

Love this University! Really nice multicultural and diverse atmosphere situated in the wonderful EastEnd (I may be slightly bias here as I’m from the East End). I had a lot of support from the necessary staff and the dyslexia services were really efficient and helpful. On my course there was less of a competitive attitude towards teaching and instead one that focused on working together to achieve more than you could alone. Would recommend to everyone that they at least look at QMUL.

Queen Mary is a great uni resort with a buzzing atmosphere and huge diversity of students. There is a place for everyone at this university. There are a vast number of societies and sports clubs available to cater for everyone’s hobbies and interests but also to discover new interests and learn new skill which can help you grow as a person.

My home school (mathematics) was very well run. They're good at listening to student feedback and have actually made changes like making the library 24hrs. The SU bar on campus is fairly standard, bit rubbish and cheesy but everyone goes there anyway. Amazing services, careers, finance, support they really do care about their students and I think being in London they're always ahead of the universities in making changes etc. Only campus uni in London, really had a good time there, would recommend to anyone.

Queen Mary University is one of the only university in London with a proper campus. I live the campus, thr canal flowing through it and the park surrounding it. It feels like a small city of your own. All the facilities including housing, gym, food and drinks are just soo student friendly even though sometimes I think they might be a little pricey. Drapers lounge for students (the kitchen and bar) is just soo perfect for all your casual evenings. The student union always replies instantly and the career services are helpful. They always guide you well however as an international post grad student I haven't had much interaction with them. All in all, queen mary had been a home to me

Quality of teaching was superb. However, the nightlife and social activities organised by the university were quite poor.

The campus and facilities have definitely improved, as they have refurbished the Hive, which is the university’s main common room. There are now areas where we can chill with friends as well as areas where we could study as a group and computer areas to study alone too.

Very happy with the university, the course offered to me is up to my needs. I would recommend Queen Mary University to everyone.

My course is very well organised and all f the teachers are willing to help you. The campus is small, but quite friendly and is quite easy to make friends. Some people on my course are quite unfriendly though so hence the 4 stars.

The university is overall fairly good. However, the location could be better and more central to London. There isn’t a great amount of things to do immediately around the university.

I honestly enjoyed my university experience at qm. The gym is on campus helped me de-stress, I've made friends for life that I know I can depend on, the staff in my department grew increasingly more helpful for me to get better and better grades, and the library is perfect in the morning. Honestly, I'd do the whole experience again and would definitely still pick queen mary over any other university.

Overall a great university with really good lectures and a lovely campus for central London. Lots of facilities, gym, student bar Drapers on campus, lots of societies. Mile End itself isn’t the nicest of areas but being a campus uni security has never been a worry

This university is very well taught, with very distinguished and well educated professors. Professors are engaging, and really take an interest in the performance of their students.

Overall, the university has a great environment , both in terms of social life and education wise. The university offers good support to students should they seek it. Teaching is very organised and communication is efficient

University teaching facilities are very good. I study physics and have found many of the lecturers to be poor, they clearly have knowledge but just don't engage students enough, often come across as patronising when questions are asked. Location is the best thing about this uni, couldn't be better!

Overall a good experience at QMUL. Foundation year wasn’t as organised as it should’ve been but my degree proved to be more organised. Helpful staff members, well contructed website. Campus life is nice because everything is within walking distance, although BARTS are in a campus based in Whitechapel so I can’t speak on their behalf. Plenty of societies that get you involved. My favourite being the ISOC, always friendly and welcoming faces. I’d recommend this uni if looking for a decent yet comfortable university with diverse students.
