Lectures and course structure is good. The campuses are beautiful. However the lecturers take a very long time to mark and return work. But the major issue is with the admin. The DSA support is very minimal.

Shit gaff. They're a uni living off a reputation it seems they never actually earned giving little to no help for students with the majority of lecturers being seemingly incapable of giving any coherent explanations. (This applies to physics I hear the humanities are better.) Its only real saving grace is the campuses' location and lab equipment. There's not a great social scene associated with it either; although you will definitely have a good time outside of the uni itself, it's just nothing on northern unis that are just as good academically.

Has a couple of brilliant lectures but the majority are mediocre. The uni feel and experience isn’t great. As a Ned student you’re highly segregated from every other course on your own campus. As well as this the large cohort of >400 students means that you are lost in the system and not an individual at all. My experience of uni wasn’t a good one

Disappointed in the lack of help for the students when they ask for it, as well as lecturers engagement. Overall great location though

Campus and facilities are great, but the lecturers are not interested in teaching beyond what they must do in order to continue their research. No support given to students either. But the people there are wonderful!
