Great uni but could improve its organization! Sometimes it does take weeks to process simple requests.

I am studying music at City University, which is definitely the right place for me to study. The staff are incredibly helpful and caring, and I've met loads of amazing people on my course. The facilities here are incredible as well. Loving my time here!

Underwhelmed in the social aspect of it all. Not enough places to chill and just have some down time to be honest. Most people just do it in the library

The university has a wide range of courses which is good as it allows people to peruse many career types. However, the university as a whole has too many rules and regulation when it comes to external speakers, booking rooms, catering etc which makes it difficult to plan events. This as a result affects the social setting of the university

I like the campus and the facility are good. resources are good and helpful. However some lecturers are not that great. The tutorials are helpful. I like my course and the carreer service is really helpful

The university campus and facilities themselves are great and of a high standard but there seems to be a complete disorganisation in my department (Journalism) with mixed messages from tutors, deadlines missed masssively by the uni and now complete module restructures and head lecturers leaving. If you’re good at working on your own accord and figuring out how to do things without any useful insight from lectures then you’ll be fine here, but if you were looking for a University that actually pulls its weight given how much you pay to attend, this probably isn’t the one.

Good teaching staff. Guest lecturers and in house professors are knowledgeable and helpful. Weak student life. Very few active societies, few events, lack of variety. Student union beginning to make changes but still weak. Good facilities. Revamps been made in the past two years include new student study spaces, new canteen, etc. Nice location. Lots to do in the area.

The campus and uni buildings offer quite enough facilities as libraries that goes on 6 levels to provide enough seats, a law library separate from the main one, a power nap area, a bar and cafeteria. My course, law llb, could do with a lot more organisation. The whole experience of going to uni shouldnt be about a lecturer reading from a PowerPoint presentation. The information provided should be better transmitted, the tutorials should be better organised. They should include more courseworks or projects so you can get the necessary experience before the exams. The student union has developed a lot in recent years however it feels like they are trying their best but they dont get enough funds or understanding from uni in order to make happen every project. The careers services offer some help with interview practice however thats it. They should work on some partnerships and offer you relevant internships or work experience in the field you are studying. There is no point in offering a law student an internship in a IT firm. The organisation could do with a lot of inovation: from more events at uni, to the cafeteria and the food served which is always oriental, indian etc; to the organisation of lectures. Overwhole i self taught myself law and got 2:1 and felt like the lecturers were transmitting us the bare minimum of information. Maybe more time should be accorded to each subject and more coursework included in order to make sure that the information is well transmitted.

The campus is excellent, and offers a range of great facilities. For my course, international journalism, the labs are well equipped with the latest technology and software. The course itself is informative and engaging. The modules teach a wide range of interesting topics surrounding journalism, and the balance of practical and theory is great. All of our teachers and lecturers are former journalists, thus they give invaluable insight into the industry and have helped us all to find work placements and opportunities outside of the course. However, the course administration could be improved; there is often confusion over term dates, marking and assignments.

Hygiene isn't amazing, rats in the library. Library is also very very small. Not enough computer rooms. It's currently exam season and the library isn't 24 hours?. Furthermore, not enough general study space given to students as classrooms close at 9pm which is absurd. The canteen is overpriced. Societies aren't given proper supervison or enough funding to support society members.

The campus is beautiful, however the food and drinks on site are a rip off. The lecturers are very good, however, I appreciate that the lecturers have every right to strike, but I’m the one paying over £9,000 a year for a service which I do not believe was met. As a result of the strike I missed hours of lecture attendance and lecture support. Not on

I feel like the university could do with a bit more of an atmosphere. Maybe it is because I went to a much smaller university for my BA but I just don't feel any connection with this one. Plus having more options for postgraduates would be good. Also having more options to study abroad for the post grad students too.

The course is good however all of our deadlines are always cramped together. Though the university overall is exceptional.

the university itself is situated in a nice location close to a lot of bars, cafes and public transport links. the food served at the university is not as great as neighbouring universities and lacks variety whilst being overpriced. plus hot food isn’t served throughout the day. lectures are somewhat educational but not all lecturers upload lecture capture which is bad. solutions to tutorial questions aren’t always uploaded or are after a lot of nagging and delay. most tutors never seem to reply back to emails.

Not worth the money, not all lecturers are enthusiastic or even understandable whilst lecturing so there’s delay in studies

This university is great! There is a variety of facilities, the careers service is exceptional. The course is generally well-organised and the lecturers are passionate about teaching. There are also a variety of facilities and activities offered by the Student's union. Overall, definitely recommend it on your UCAS application!

University is pretty ugly. Lacking in washrooms. Course is alright. Student union is a disaster. Careers services can only get you a job at Mcdonalds.
