Overall a good uni but needs to make more effort in regards to exam scheduling and material provided by lecturers.

Great university with some amazing teaching staff. Have good facitlities and lots of computers for all students. However, some lecturers can be a bit stuck up and have terrible teching techniques but thats only a small few. I also love to location, right in the center of cardiff so is amazing. I also like the look of the uni itself, its very beautiful and looks very appealing. I would reccommend this university as its also part of the Russel group which shows a very good research background so can be helpful in your learning

Outstanding university. Amazing staff and facilities. Loved every moment in this bustling city. Highly suggest any fresher to go to the Taf, Coco Gelato and Cafe 37. Unbeatable.

The university and its buildings are excellent! All the lectures and tutorials are organised perfectly and the business school which is where I study is premium! However, the only thing some of the lecturers and tutorial leaders (who are usually PhD students) are quite tricky to understand due to their foreign accent. With a fast course this can sometimes be hard to deal with! Other than that cardiff university is perfect and a great place to be.

Fantastic uni, very supportive and offers a lot of aid for students in many different ways. The only downside is their lack of organisation in some areas, which they are working on.

Most of the lecturers are really good at what they do. The facilities are good. The course is full on but it is just enough that it's not too much. I've received a ton of help from the university with bursarys, etc. Because I came from a poorer background and it has been such a help.

I studied sociology at Cardiff University. Both the course and university are great, as the universities facilities are fantastic and the course lecturers were very helpful.

Very good university with a fab psychology department. However the strikes have been a downfall this year.

amazing university, the course is structured perfectly with respectable and determine staff who provide plenty of support. The Student union is a major component to why Cardiff University is so great. It provides a wide range of facilities and uses from a pub, co-op, post office to 2 hall rooms perfect for events and Venues. The nightlife is fantastic in Cardiff and it's a perfect size city to travel on foot with plenty of beautiful sites such as Cardiff bay and Bute park to increase the city's beauty and heritage

Main building is amazing and the libraries inside it are great, some of the older libraries like the ASS need to be refurbished. The SU is very old but is in the process of being remodeled. Depends on the course you do, some courses are very organised, other's not so much.

Excellent uni is the only thing that would have to go back and I don't think that I have a great way for a few years back on my way home from work to be the first half year and I don't think that I have a great way

Overall, a great university. Spin a healthcare course means I miss out on certain elements of university's facilities/life as my campus is hospital based, but that's about it.

The campus is a brilliant campus, everything is within walking distance but also isn’t too cramped, and is intermingled with other parts of city life

Great place, lots to do and to see. Some of the halls are too far out of the city so therefore isolated the students slightly. However great students union and great city

This university is a great place to study which offers very talented lecturers in the engineering sector and this is the section I’m studying at. Cardiff university has many facilities available to the students including a students union which is a good meeting place for new people and it has lots of social entertainment. The course I am studying is electrical and electronic engineering and this is a great course which I would recommend to others because the modules and the content is very well delivered and it is exciting to work in the laboratories to produce circuits of different kinds and see what it’s capabilities are.

Better than Swansea, what more do you need? Mixture of gorgeous old architechture and new buildings, libraries and online services make accessing materials easy, and the social life is great - there's always something going on.

The location of the campus is perfect, right next to the city centre of Cardiff, which is an amazing city in every single aspect. The uni itself is also amazing, the sheer amount of courses means there's so many to choose from! The staff are always there to help and have been amazing help to me at my time here! The only reason I didn't score it 5/5 was the career services, I feel the courses and uni are very much academic based and I haven't had a lot of careers insight, some but not much

Cardiff university has an amazing campus but depending on where your lecture theatres are, it is a bit of pain to walk from building to building every day. I’m currently in my first year and studying law, so far the course has been amazing and most of the tutorials have been beneficial to me. Sometimes the lecturers go through the PowerPoints too quickly so it is easy to miss some points they make. Thankfully, they upload all the recordings for a week so you can check if you’ve missed anything. However, since I’ve started there always seems to be something wrong with the technology they use in the lecture theatres, either with the microphone or the projectors not working. In all fairness, they have tried to resolve this but at the moment it still hasn’t been fixed properly. Aside from that the library and learning central online is very helpful. The students union is also an extremely nice facility on campus. There are many places to go to do some work quietly or have group discussions. There are also quite a few food and drink shops which are reasonably priced for students. They also have a bookshop and WHSmith and places to get your hair done on the bottom floor, which is an additional bonus. They also regularly hold gigs in the Great Hall. From what I’ve seen of the careers service they provide exceptional services, they send weekly emails about jobs and placements relevant to you and your course. But they also provide a service where they team up with companies such as the Principality Stadium, who offer part time jobs to students to help. You have to sign up to this service, but it is beneficial as it offers regular shifts weekly. My over all experience of the university so far has been amazing, however one thing I do think they should improve on is their organisational skills, as when I first started the first few weeks were complete shambles and new students didn’t know where they were coming or going. Aside from that, it’s been good so far.

The university is pretty much right in the City Centre, so you're near a lot of things to do. the university buildings themselves are quite a mix, most are absolutely fine on the inside, a lot are really lovely and well kept. There are quite a few buildings (Law, Psychology for example) that are particularly ugly looking on the outside, but that shouldn't put you off! the facilities are great for my course (history) with the library very conveniently placed. The Students union is another of the ugly buildings, but its great in actuality. It has everything you need and is always a fun night out. The over all experience has been great so far, everyone has been really helpful and the majority of the lecturers are really great.
