1. London

2. Manchester

Manchester is a wonderful city to study in. There's plenty to do in town during the day, with vibrant neighbourhoods like the Northern Quarter teeming with action. Thanks to powerhouse venues like The Warehouse Project, the evenings more than pull their weight too.

3. Birmingham

The UK's second city is home to five different universities, making it a favourite for students from all academic backgrounds. If you head into Brum for a night out, it won't disappoint.

4. Nottingham

The second Midlands city on this list is another student favourite, both of its universities regularly get high scores in the satisfaction rankings. There's fun to be had by all in Nottingham.

5. Liverpool

Whether you're soaking in the beauty of the Three Graces or shaking a leg down on Seel Street, you're bound to love everything Liverpool has to offer. There isn't a city quite like this jewel on the Mersey.

6. Leeds

Leeds is a fun day out for any student. Its reputation as the 'Foodie capital of the North' means you're never likely to go hungry, while the city is teeming with life with trendy bars, cafés, and clubs.

7. Newcastle

Known all over the country thanks to the hit series Geordie Shore, the city of Newcastle has a much prettier side during the day.

The city centre is stunning and the locals are as friendly as they come.

The city of Bristol lives up to its hip and happening reputation, with plenty to do for students.
