Overall Reading has alot going for it in terms of convenience of location, closeness to London and beaches, it has lots of good shops and food too

A great addition to a day out, helped me find discount and new things for students to do. Reading is a place of culture and diversity. A small London in a sense. There is a cinema, shopping area called the Oracle and many bars.

Foods good due to variety Shopping is good as there’s loads of shops also good transport links all over the town and a local football team which has regular matches , a few museums and a good range of hisitprical and modern activities to experience such as , reading Abby , cinemas and attractions along the Thames

Good place to eat, drink or party especially on a budget as there’s a few Wetherspoons and Nando’s but also many bars and clubs, although I’d stay away from Qclub as bouncers are atrocious and it’s mainly a bunch of 17 year olds

There's lots of shops and supermarkets so you don't have to go far to get anything you need. It's ideal if you like going into London for days or nights out brcbeca the trains run all the time and at bught. The Nightlife is okay and the better night's are at Union. The 17 and 21 buses run 24 hours and so are very useful for a night out or late at work.

Lovely campus, very green and lots of outside places to relax in the summer. Great public transport to the city centre but is slightly too far away from the university and not much going on. Is only really good for shopping. Reading is an expensive place to live, rent is very pricey as well as eating/drinking out.

Purple turtle is a banging place for a night out, Q is wayyy overrated and Lola lo isn’t even worth entering

Quite and very safe town. Not much nightlife and variety of food. Has a large shopping center in the middle of reading.

Good night out, would recommend Revolution bar, Lola los, Q club and Purple Turtle. Everything is centralised and there are plenty of places to go out for something to eat and shop, as well as there being a big VUE cinema. Travel is cheap and the train station is not far from the centre aswell.

Reading town centre is home to the oracle shopping centre which has loads of great retail brands and sufficient multi storey parking. The riverside has a great value Vue cinema and an excellent selection of restaurants with aesthetic surroundings. The town centre also hosts lots more retail and eating options and friar st is the place to go for a night out.

Reading town has an amazing choice of restaurants and shops for all ages. The Oracle is a prime spot for all shoppers and there are a plethora of brands available. As a student, the nightlife is great with Q club being the common favourite amongst uni students. Everything is in close proximity with extremely regular buses, sometimes as fast as every 7 minutes. The train station is modern, and easy to navigate with regular trains travelling to many parts of the country.

Coming from London to Reading has been such a jump for me because London is a very busy city with a lot of life. Reading is more quiet and a bit boring for me.

I moved to Reading three years ago from the North West to study at university. I had never visited before I moved and was quite apprehensive but I can not complain. The not so little town has everything you could ask for all on one street from large high street chains such as John Lewis to small independent coffee shops like Nibseys. The bus service is flawless. In the north west we have something to learn by the philosophy to green travel.

Great for night outs and shopping however there's not a lot of options to go to for a casual hangout other than the town

Reading is such an amazing town, it has such convenient links to London and the rest of the country. The oracle is definitely a place to visit with so many shops and restaurants on the river. There is a variety of bars and clubs too to suit anyone, I would 100% recommend.

Decent night's out, pretty town, not too busy or quiet. The oracle is really nice with loads of places to eat and the cinema is super cheap.

I love living in reading. It has its ups and downs but everything does. There is a broad range of restaurants, bars and pubs to go to. You can go into the centre of reading and go eat somewhere that is cheap or somewhere super expensive. They have good variety. There are plenty of things to do and there is a vue cinema which is excellent with its prices in the middle of reading. The value for money is pretty good minus the parking in Reading town centre. There is plenty of public transport that goes to all different places
