I love my uni room. It's fairly large and has 2 windows making it full of light. There are plenty of shower and toilets on my corridor and I've never had to wait to use it.

The location is (almost infamously!) further out than most colleges. However, it isn’t any further than a 10 minute walk from the centre of town, and 5 minutes on a bike. What you get from being further out though is worth it! The college is almost 100% tourist free, which means you feel much more at home than other colleges. It also has loads of beautiful gardens, including its own stretch of river, one of the few colleges which does! LMH is also right on the University Parks, which makes it really easy to walk to and from the English and LAw Faculties, as well as to just unwind with a walk. The facilities are great too, the library has nearly every book I’ve ever needed - only had to go to the Bod once, and the Sackler twice. The college gym is fully equipped and much cheaper than any other gym membership you’ll get, plus there is an erg shed for rowing land-training. The food in hall is brilliant too. Portions are always ample, and if not, the staff are very friendly and will always top up with more! Prices are reasonable too considering the quality and the quantity of Hall food. My room is basic, but it is the simplest room the college offers, and I am guaranteed improved accommodation next year, including an en suite and maybe even a double bed. This year I am still comfortable however, with plenty of space and storage room and a lovely view of the main quad. I haven’t struggled at all to make friends here, the atmosphere is so welcoming and the college environment means you get to mix with undergrads and postgrads of all ages and backgrounds and meet loads of interesting people. I love it!

Beautiful college. Fun and friendly vibes. Gardens are great and there are college owned pugs to play with. Only downside is it’s a bit of a trek from town, but that does mean you’re not inundated with tourists.

Social experience: excellent Room: spacious, decent decoration, great view Facilities: great library, terrible gym, good bar, decent bathrooms, small but functioning kitchens Location: good if you like gardens and you hate tourists, bad if you don’t like 20 minute walks
