Nottingham has great, affordable nights out! The shopping is ok and the restaurants are good but would be good to have more options

Nottingham is a great city to live in whilst studying at one of their universities! Close to the city centre so shopping is a must! The wide range of shops in the centre is perfect for all individuals to be able to find what they are looking for! There are plenty of places around Nottingham if you’re looking for somewhere to eat, a wide variety of types of food and types of eateries.

I love Nottingham. As a student, with both Trent Uni and Uni of, it’s very student-orientated. The shopping is amazing and the night life has such a good variety. You can never run out of things to do... there are scenic walks, adventure golf, the theatre, amazing cinemas including the savoy which is one of the oldest standing cinemas and so cheap - ideal for students! It’s also very cheap to live here. And it’s so easy to get around - constant buses that are both cheap and frequent.

The Nottingham uni is easy to access and get to by bus or public transport. Night life and entertainment are good however can be expensive sometimes.

Nottingham is one of my favourite cities in the UK. I thing it has the best nightlife and some of the coolest bars that offer good deals for students! I also love the fact that Nottingham is neither too big or too small. Shopping wise, Nottingham has the best mixture of your typical highstreet shops and also a lot of vintage and charity shops that always have something good in!

At Nottingham Trent University the location couldn't be better. You're right in the city centre where you have easy access to nightlife, shopping, varying activities including crazy golf and bounce. Accommodation can be relatively cheap depending on what you want to get for your money, and you're rarely further than a 15/20 minutes walk or a 10 minute team away from uni/town, even living out of halls. The majority of halls are right on campus meaning you can roll out of bed 5 minutes before and get to uni on time, especially good if you've made use of the nightlife the night before! The uni has its own tram stop which you can use to get directly to the train station in around 10 minutes so going home or having visitors is also very easy if they're coming by public transport. There are also buses on campus that can get you to Clifton campus for those who will be doing sports, or would rather be closer to the centre for their first years of uni.

Nottingham is a great place to live. The location is fantastic - as someone who lives in the country there is just the right amount of green to keep me from feeling homesick. University is close enough to town that it is no great effort to get to everything and the campus feels like it's own little haven of green, away from all the business of the city. Transport runs really frequently (although be wary of rip off taxis at times) and there's always something to do! Love my degree and this city

Food at the university is not cheap but not expencive neither, you can eat hot meal for 4£, get sandwiches from 2-5£. However, drinks are kind of expencive, as only one type of juice is there which costs 1.30£. Regarding shopping, lots of shops to go, victoria centre around the corner. Things to do at Nottingham? I would say eat, shop and party.

The location is amazing for a multitude of reasons, including the closeness of the clubs for going out to the amount of shops there are. The location of these are close enough to walk, which is cost effective when your a student who may not want to pay for transport each time

In the centre of the city which is amazing for not only the nightlife experience, but for shopping and for socialising. One particular benefit is the wide variety of food and shops, which is amazing to come and experience when there is not half as many back Home

Brilliant place to go has a lot to offer, although the reputation isn’t good it’s surley a good day out for family and for friends as it has a brilliant atmosphere for both situations

Nottingham is a great city for nightlife. Everything is within a hundred meter radius. University's take this to their advantage.

Prefect student city for nights out, transport, entertainment and general student lives. Also loads of good employment opportunities for students.

Its a very big student city - lots to do and lots of places to go ( there are also hidden gems ) sometimes going out for food can be hard as there are lots and lots of places to go and all great food. There are great events during seasons too great for all friends and family to join tram/bus both between 5-10 minutes during peak times

There is a fully lit night out every day of the week in Notts, and busses back to campus at 3am. The city is the perfect size for someone’s first time away from home and it has a tonne of history to offer as well as independent bars and restaurants

I think that the location for Nottingham Trent I absolutely perfect as it is right in the heart of Nottingham's city centre. Being a student taxi's can be another extra expense that you just don't need - so it was ideal that you could literally walk EVERYWHERE, as its all on your doorstep. You name it, clubs, bars, shops, Uni buildings, you can walk to all of it. There were local buses and it was about a 20 minute walk to the train station from city campus. However, we actually have our own tram stop right outside of our library which takes us into town, and to the train and bus station.

Nottingham is a very vibrant city, with plenty to see and do. Night life is good, with several clubs and bars that are fun and full of atmosphere. There's plenty on offer in terms of entertainment, with cinemas, bowling, comedy, live shows and historical landmarks. The city centre is easy to navigate and the tram system is easy to use. Shopping is great and there are lots of places to eat. There's lots of student accommodation on offer and the range available suits all budgets.

University of Nottingham is part of an amazingly diverse city which has some of the best public transport links available, tonnes of shops to choose from, great places to eat as well as other entertainment locations. Everything feels connected and there's always something to do in case you get bored (which is rare anyway)!

Nottingham is absolutely bursting with culture, heritage and great food. Did you know Nottingham has the most restaurants every per mile squared? It's an amazing city, especially at Christmas time. The cost of food and shopping here is amazing, with a whole range to choose from. I love the Market Centre, with its Council House and fountain. It's an amazing city which never sleeps.
