The University is in a great location with the bus route running from the city centre to the university past all the student housing. This makes it easy to get to town or to University. Trams also runfrom directly outside University to the train station and into the city centre. This makes transport to and from University really easy. The university is a 10-15min taxi ride from the main clubs meaning taxis are not too pricey when split between everyone. Shopping in Nottingham is decent with two shopping malls and lots of variety. There are plenty of restaurants offering student discount and many bars offer happy hours which makes things relatively affordable.

Overall my experience of studying at NTU has been great the location of NTU City campus provides many opportunities to drop to the shops, eat out, socialise and even pop into town for interviews or external city evens.NTU Clifton campus however is quite the opposite and sits in the heart of Clifton, clifton has very few shops but does offer a local McDonald’s and KFC.NTU is however great at providing everything you need on campus and for those pupils who want to study on a more isolated campus but still be within reaching distance of the main city through the NTU bus system this would be perfect for you.Ntu Brakenhurst campus is also an amazing campus based in Southwell this campus is very isolated but is full of green space and calm sceenary ideal for anyone who is interested in the outdoor or nature based subjects.Having the opportunity to live at any of the NTU Campuses and commute is another great thing about studying within nottingham as there is so much to do across the city.

Nottingham is a great night out! There are so many restaurants, clubs and bars that is suitable for so many tastes. it's great for quirky little intimate bars that have character and charm. Everything is also in walking distance of each other which is great

Great city with lots to do. Lots of clubs for nightlife and also bowling and mini golf etc if you're not much of a clubber. Also lots of shops and nice reasturants. Everything is within walking distance.

There's a huge variety of really great nights out in Nottingham, all really close to Lenton where most of the student accommodation is. I live 10mins away from a Lidl which is great, a 15min bus journey to campus and also not far from a canal which is beautiful when it's sunny. In the city centre there's occasionally food markets or stalls selling handmade items which is great!

Nottingham is big enough to explore, but small enough that you don’t get lost! Loads of great places to eat, from chain restaurants to individual cafes. The Victoria Centre has lots of high street shops as well as an awesome fancy dress shop for all your fresher needs. Lace Market has some really cool cocktail bars and a load of vintage shops where you can find some serious steals. The city really does have it all! The trams makes getting around super easy, and Maryland chicken near Pryzm is a must for an after clubbing food stop!

Nottingham is the perfect student city, with the city centre being a 20 minute walk from the UoN student area in Lenton, and loads to do in town in terms of places to go and the nightlife.

Nottingham is a great student city, everything is directly within the town centre including nottingham Trent accommodation. All the clubs are in walking distance and so are the shops. The prices are very cheap for a city especially taxis which is a lot better for students. The tram runs through nottingham which makes it so much easier to get anywhere in the city.

I love nottingham it’s not as busy as London but still has a lot of fun things to do. I thought the nottingham castle was absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed the cote brassiere as I love French food

Nottingham is like a mini london. It has everything you could want and need in one place and great transport links too. It's well situated too. It has its own character still despite being very well developed and it's the culinary capital of the UK so you can eat anywhere, anything at any time. My favourite restaurant is Zaap, it's an authentic thai restaurant with street food on its menu. What can't go unmentioned is ocean. A student based club where every Trent Student goes in fancy dress, a unique experience you can't repeat anywhere else. Notts has been a great city to live in, small enough to get around easily and big enough to have lots of fun.

Really large city with a lively atmosphere and plenty of choices for food and shopping outlets. Not been on a night out here, but it sounds like a brilliant night out!

Nottingham has now become one of my favourite cities! The night life is unreal, there are so many different night clubs and bars which are suitable for every time of person. There are lots of different nice resteraunt, the only downside is that there aren’t many big supermarkets in the city. Moreover the tram system is really good, it’s really cheap and easy to get around the city centre. The shipping is also really good, there’s loads of different high street brands and then more up market brands in lace market. The value for money is also good, student nights are cheap and you get your money’s worth. Overall Nottingham is a really nice city and I glad I came here for university!

The location of the university buildings is great. Everything is close to each other and not far from the city centre! Definitely recommend NTU, especially if you want to be in a city which has great restaurants, nightlife and shopping!

Living in the city centre of Nottingham is great. It’s got an endless list of places to eat and there’s always an activity going on in market square or somewhere close. The locals are friendly and you never have to walk too far to find what you’re looking for. After being in Nottingham for 3 years studying, i love this place and I’m looking to move here after I graduate. If you’re used to the fast pace city life in London then sometimes Nottingham gets a bit annoying because it feels like they have no sense of urgency to do anything, especially at fast food restaurants they take ages. However, a little patience never killed anyone, so it’s something you learn to deal with.

Nottingham is well known for everything being reasonably priced. Housing is lowest in the country and activities are equally affordable. Unlike some cities there is a heap of trendy restaurants and bars with vibrant themes and good vibes.

The location of the University of Nottingham is excellent, because it is a campus university that is just 10 mins on the bus to the city centre. Therefore, you have the benefit of both the campus experience and access to a city of a good size, that has everything you would want. Nottingham has a good mixture of chains and independent stores/restaurants, so offers both your favourites and many interesting new places to try. It’s a large enough city that you don’t run out of new restaurants/bars to go to, but it is small enough that it is quite contained and you don’t feel lost or overwhelmed like you might in large cities like London. There are quite a lot of nightlife options, although students tend to choose to go to the same few places all the time! There are plenty of other places to try though if you want to explore.

Loved living there, there was everything I needed e.g shopping centre pharmacy supermarket etc within a close proximity. It was a pleasant atmosphere and at time very lively and energising. Very accessible to other cities or an airport nearby and also to home. Really recommend it if your course is being taught at one of the two universities here.

Great city, a big shopping centre with plenty of shops. A good cheap northern town. A great study city - big enough so you cannot get bored within 3 years but small enough to be able to walk all around the city centre and not be too overwhelmed when you move there!
