For pubs there's a wide choice, but aficionados may want to head to 'Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem', and down a brew in the oldest pub in England. The Robin Hood Beer Festival takes place every October, in the Castle grounds. Goose Fair: This doesn't actually involve geese any more (what a festival that must have been!) It's a massive funfair that visits once a year. Well worth getting along to. City of Caves: One for the history buffs. People have been digging caves into the hills of Nottingham for centuries, using them for homes and workplaces. Now protected by the council, it's possible to take a tour and discover this underground city. Getting about Bike: A recent poll found that Nottingham is the second best city in the UK to cycle in. Hooray! Tram: As well as a very efficient bus system, Nottingham has a set of trams around the city centre. It's very handy, but if you have a car DO NOT drive on the tramlines. There are signposts for Tram Only roads, but they can be missed if you're not on the lookout... It will be the most terrifying thing you will ever accidentally do. Plus they'll fine you. Everywhere else: The M1 runs up past Nottingham, connecting you to the rest of the country. There's also a good train network through the city.

It's a really convenient town! There's buses and tram all over the place! No worries for transportation problems. And there're hidden gems around this little town if you know where they are;) City center basically have everything, but if compare that to London, here is nothing. But I hope there's more retail shops(student life heh.).

Loads of lovely cute bars to go to that are reasonably priced and often have deals like 2-4-1 cocktails, great for students! There's loads of food places to try and everything is quite close together! Market square always has different things going on so always something to do.

There are so many different night clubs playing all types of music - there's something for everyone! Same goes for all the different restaurants and bars with hundreds of different places to visit with all food styles.

There are many options for nights out - whether it be bars such as bierkeller or going to a club. The clubs themselves have multiple types of music from hip hop to commercial R&B to house. Drinks although usually are cheap, they can be quite expensive in clubs such as Pryzm for example. Public transportation is very cheap and simple. Shopping is exceptional with many popular shops within close proximity to EACHOTHER.

Nottingham is a city that only ceases to amaze. The shops are second to none, there is a wide variety of pubs and restaurants for all budgets and the music scene is extraordinary. With venues such as Rock City, Rescue Room and the Ice Arena there is always something happening in Nottingham. That isn't including both the theatre royal and concert hall as well as all the smaller venues and nightclubs. You will never fail to find something to do in Nottingham. There is the Nottingham Caves where you can go underground and discover the history of Nottingham and you can shop to your hearts content with two shopping centres and shops around every corner. There is also an amazing Christmas market in the market square equipt with an ice rink ready for the festive season. The team runs through Nottingham city centre and there are always buses to catch. Nottingham will always be one of my favourite cities.

Nottingham has a variety of food places, you can get anything from a spicy chicken korma to a fish and chips, the transport is good legit a taxi service around evety corner near every night club. The clubs get heavy around 8-9 pre drinks sold at 8. Pryzm and rock city are the main visited night clubs that I can think of. It's a pretty friendly town with a lot of history.

Nottingham is an excellent city, offering something for everybody and every taste. The city centre is on the doorstep of NTU and within walking distance of most accomodation. Excellent student deals for food and drinks and the night life is one of the best in the country.

I love Nottingham. Lenton is a great place to live in as a student, it doesn't take long to walk or cycle into Town or onto Campus, busses are very good as well. The city is just the right size, big enough to have loads of things to do, great restaurants, 3 cinemas, good shopping centres and plenty of greenery, i.e. Wollaton Park, and also small enough to get around easily.

Nottingham is a great student city. With so many places to eat out (there are loads of spoons), multiple really good student club nights and awesome shops. There is only so many steps you can take in the city centre until you come across another student! With Ocean wednesdays as our top society night, you can live your dreams of dancing to High School Musical and Robbie Williams. Nottingham is the BEST!

Being a student based city, I have come to find Nottingham to be a pleasant and fun experience with friends and family. Having a multitude of shops and restaurants, there is never a boring moment whilst in the city with plenty to do. Nights out are a must with multiple Wetherspoon's around the town centre which have cheap drinks for pres and then to a nightclub such as Stealth, NG1, Rick City or Bodega to continue the night.

Nottingham is a small yet lively and fun city. There is a variety of food places you could go to that bring you the taste of different countries. The night life is also amazing!! Music is great and tons of fun events to go to. And because it is a small city, transportation around Nottingham is made simple, easy, and very fast. I live outside of the city, near where I study, the University of Nottingham. But it only takes my about 12 minutes by bus to get from my dorm to the city centre!! Plus there are always student discounts on transportation. All of that makes Nottingham a perfect place for student life.
