Lovely student city, moved from a small town outside Liverpool and to move into a place where there is so much going on during both day and night time is fantastic! Restaurants as a whole around the city have been brilliant as I am yet to find a restaurant which I have not liked the food and quality. Night life is good but not great with the clubs often very similar although Ocean Wednesdays are some of the best nights out I’ve been on. Everywhere is very accessible with buses running every 7 minutes and also trams are cheap and easy to use.

The nights out in Nottingham are so varied for different people’s tastes. The shopping is amazing and you’re never short of something to do. The bus system is brilliant as you can explore the city for a low cost.

Nottingham is a great place with loads of things to do for lots of different people. Baa bar is a great night out in a Thursday if not feeling the busy rock city. Pom Pom is also great there's so much to do and everything is on your doorstep

Nottingham is great for socialising and shopping, there are lots of quirky bars and clubs. The buses are frequent and there's a tram service that makes for cheap, quick, comfortable transport. There are also lots of places to eat, with a great selection of cuisines. There is also a plethora of cafes that which can be used to do work in. The downside of Nottingham is that it doesn't feel like the safest city, there are a few rough areas.

Nottingham is a great city, there’s a broad variety of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from. There’s lots of fun things to do on both sunny or rainy days, and fantastic public transport links to help navigate the city.

Great nightlife, with plenty of choices ranging from clubs to bar and activities like mini golfing that opens till late. It's lovely to have a compact city centre where shops are located within short walking distance

derby campus is out of the way, feels forgotten about. transport links there are not regular enough. sports and society blus are poorly managed there, very inconsistent.

In the city centre so all the night clubs are near by.Live above an aldi. And the cost of the apartment is very cheap for living in a non ensuite room.

Good all round city. Good food places including restaurants and pubs that sell good pub grub. Great places to drink casually and for night's out including cocktail nights or days and nightclub type drinking. Loads of hotels to stay at around the city centre and on outskirts. There are also entertainment for old and young. Casinos, cinemas, bowling, crazy golf.

I don’t drink a lot but the few nights I have out in Nottingham have been good. I like how they have just student nights quite a lot in different places so it’s not mixed with the younger or older generation. I think there are so many food options around town. There so much choice from Chinese to pizza to all you can eat places. Definitely love that there’s a Taco Bell here, which I don’t have in my home town. The shopping is Great too, it’s not amazing but it’s got a lot more choice than home so it’s good. The victoria centre definitely has an a good choice of shops such as urban outfitters and kiko. But also has more stuff for the lads like gaming shops and specie men clothing shops. The thing I like the best about shopping is there is a street of shops which are a bit more high end as well, with a Mac, jack wills, flannels, ted baker and all that sort of thing which I like having a look down. There’s also a lot to do as there’s a cinema, parks to walk around and that sort of stuff. There’s a mini golf place in the corner house which is great fun and not too much money. I think it’s definitely value for money living here and I am enjoying it here so much.

Such an awesome city, tons of shopping and a price range to suit all. Beautiful markets. Easy travel in and out of city. Perfect for music lovers due to the range of music venues from small digs at rescue rooms (where you can get intimate with bigger bands too) to massive gigs at motorpoint!

Nottingham is the perfect city for students. Everything you could need in the city, within walking distance of accomodation.

Food is overall city style. Plenty of pub available in city.

Big enough city to explore but not too big that it's an inconvenience, all different types of nights out, good variety of genres, nice pubs near the castle and lots of good smart bars for cocktails and gin.

Ocean is amazing. It's a big enough city to do a lot and you can get a £5 jàäger pint. 5 shots of jàäger then they fill it up with red bull; can't complain

Loads of places around to go out, hundreds of shops and little places to hang out with people too. Good amount of shops for weekly shopping and places that deliver to you if needed.

The fact i don't have to pay for travel is an big relief. Such a amazing city with many activities located from just a walk away. The location on which i live is very convenient for myself. I am a 10 minute walk from my university, a 2 minute walk from my nearest food supermarket which is aldi. I am also 10 minute walk from the city centre building with a Tesco supermarket as well. The value for money is really good as a aldi is right there and everything is literally walking distance. I would highly recommend my uni.

Has a white water course which is a big plus for me. The city is pretty bike friendly, though they could do with resurfacing a lot of the roads. Public transport is generally plentiful and there are plenty of places to go out.

I chose my uni because it's a campus uni so everything I need is close by. Even better is that town is an easy walk away as well! Everything I needed was 30 mins away max

It's a small city, Nottingham, but has loads of great cultural stuff to do which I've enjoyed during my time at uni. There's the Nottingham Playhouse showing loads of great local adaptations, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall which hosts lots of great touring shows, Broadway cinema which is a great independent cinema showing some really interesting films and Nottingham Contemporary, which has shown some really cool exhibitions recently. There's lots of vintage shops, decent coffee shops (particularly 200 degrees, wired cafe and Toast) and some really great bars and music venues. Some include hockley arts club, rough trade, jam cafe, tilt, spanky van dykes and rescue rooms. Delicious independent restaurant has to be mentioned - sexy mama loves spaghetti. Very frequent buses but it's so small you really can walk to most places. Interesting, opportunity for varied experiences and overall not too expensive.
