Great city with lots to do. It's size is decent but can walk from one end to the other with no problem which is very handy for nights out. There are lots of good shops and food places in city centre and the parks etc are very beautiful in and around the city.

This city is absolutely beautiful and i intend on attending University there. Having spent some time there in the last few months I can honestly say it's become one of my favourite places. It offers amazing choice for food (especially for a sushi lover like myself) and the service is incomparable to anything else. Absolutely love spending time there and looking forward to making it my permanent residence very soon!

Nottingham is a great vibrant city with so much to explore & todo. From shopping, to food & entertainment. Its the perfect student city & wouldn't want to go to any other city for university.

Lively city, there's always something going on every night. Lots of good food places to eat and affordable prices. Can get a bit busy during term time with 2 big Universities but there is enough space for everyone and all the main shops you need.

Great transport links, lots of places to eat, shopping centres are fairly small but everything is accessible.

Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Good student nightlife with the majority of clubs and bars being reasonably priced. Good student night deals on certain nights of the week. Lots to explore within the city itself too.

Big, full of everything you need, friendly, good for it's money. Lots to do and see, especially at Christmas time. Lots of people to see and meet.

There is lots of things to do but very repetitive. If you don't drink you won't enjoy the night life much.

So many things to do here, it has all the right shops and the tram service is amazing for getting around the city centre. Great nights out, not expensive for students at all. There's all the restaurants you need, both fancy and simple. The city is not too big so getting around is easy but it isn't small either as theres thousands of things to do!

Amazing student city, with a large amount of good nights out including ink, pryzm and rock city. Also highly rate the Victoria shipping centre, where there is a variety of places to shop.

Great variety of shops, restaurants and cafes for socialising. Though not always the cleanest, it's as close to London as I've come without being there. Trams are good too.

Great transport around the city and is always cheap and on time! The city is generally great value for money compared to many other student cities. However there isnt the best shopping facilities, there are lots of decent independents but not that many big brands compared to big cities.

There many night clubs offering various genres of music such as hip hop, chart, techno, drum n bass, bassline etc. These nights are available everyday of the week. If you want something a little more chilled there are loads of bars in town with cheap cocktails and drinks. Tonnes of high street restaurants with student discounts all in walking distance of the town square. If you like shopping there are high end brands as well as your everyday shops, something for everyone's budget.

Brilliant nights out if that’s what oh enjoy with loads of clubs and bars to choose from. Not massive amounts of other things to do in the city of Nottingham however. Shopping is okay and there are most shops you would want but some are just small. Trams make it useful to get around.

Compact city centre easy to get around. Plenty of clubs and restaurants. Buses used to cost £1 for a student but have unfortunately increased. Centre of country so good links to other parts of UK.

Nottingham - the city where the legends of Robin Hood originated from - it's quite a green city here with lots of parks and forests to visit. You can find the infamous Robin Hood statue erected at the base of Nottingham Castle. Wollaton Hall (the 'Batman mansion') is a must-visit for everyone - you'll definitely enjoy the sceneries while catching a glimpse of the deers grazing on the grounds at the park. It's very easy to go around the city with buses, trams and taxi and restaurants here offer a great bargain for students with discounts offered every so often throughout the week. Not to mention there are a few cinemas in the city where you could catch the latest blockbuster movies and go for a skate at the National Ice Centre!

Great for students as everywhere has student offers. Many things to do other than going to nightclubs. Good public transport. Student accommodation is quite cheap compared to other cities.

Some areas aren’t brilliant as is with every place i suppose; but the city is amazing, easy access to almost everything, public transport is cheap and easy. Shops, bars and clubs are great and everywhere tends to be very student friendly. Easy access in and out of notts. Driving and parking here are a pain in the bum but other than that it’s a pretty great place to live. I would quite happily continue living and working here.

Nights out are good but the big students nights are very similar would be nice to have more variety. Transport is very good but can be more tricky when living on campus and its a bit further out from the centre. Value for money is good but not as cheap as other student cities e.g manchester

Nottingham has two universities and so the location is fantastic. It is extremely student friendly and also cheap, with lots of student prices (especially on nights out). Plenty of buses that go from the universities to town, with a tram used near Trent University. The Victoria shopping centre has a variety of shops and restaurants to choose from, with plenty of clothes stores for students.

Nottingham is beautiful and full of quirks. The nightlife is fab with a variety of choice, my uni is near the center so I can shop for the essentials with ease. The shop for the arts building is affordable and you get great bargains on materials.Everyone is friendly and making friends takes no time at all! I really love Nottingham as a city and recommend it!

I think Nottingham is a perfect size city for a student who has maybe come from a smaller area! There’s so much to do in terms of eating out, nightlife, shopping and things to do. Transport is really good and I feel most things are good value for money. In terms of entertainment there is the theatre and comedy club however I feel there could be more variation.

Nottingham is an amazing, vibrant city full of lots to do for all ages. The nightlife is great with lots of variety of clubs for students and non-students. The food scene is unparalleled to any other city with loads of amazing places for Michelin star meals, to freakshakes, to afternoon tea. The transport in the city is fantastic with the bus and tram networks providing easy access to the whole city.
